Hi there! Nice to meet you. :) I've been here 7ish years, I think? A long time, anyway! And yourself?

This semester I'm taking an anthropology class on Aboriginal culture, an introductory sociology class (yay for options!), and I'm spending the rest of my time doing a senior level independent study project on heavy metal toxicity in water birds. Lots of samples to be run through chemical analyses, lots of papers to read, and even more to write! :) I'm really excited, though!

Wow! That all sounds so interesting!! But also like a lot of work! Anthropology is intriguing to me!!

The project is going to be SOOOOO much work, but so worth it. The plan is to use the data I generate to implicate industry (ie. oil companies) in the pollution of our waterways so that we can force them to mitigate some of the environmental costs associated with those industries.

I've still got my EMT license but because ambulance work has crazy hours (12 to 14 hour shifts, nights, weekends, etc.) I can't do that as I go to school, so I work in a clinic instead doing triage and medication administration, as well as assisting physicians with procedures like suturing and things like that. :)

That's awesome! I am totally excited for Lumi, and Christmas in general! How about yourself?

I notice your signature says you're diabetic. Me too! :) Type I for 25 years (diagnosed before my 3rd birthday). How long have you been?

No, that's 's independent project, a fourth year course. I'm just a lowly first year atm :P

I have Biology (a biodiversity course), Chemistry, Anthropology (sex, gender and age) and English this semester! I'm doing extremely well in everything but Chem, lol. Next semester I have Sociology, Psychology, Biology (cell bio) and Earth Science, though I'm trying to get into that same Native American Anthro course that Garnet is taking.

Sounds like a full load!! Everything sounds interesting too, except the chemistry! LOL! I hope you get into the Native American Anthro class! That really sounds interesting!

Well that totally sucks!!

My day was the usual, although I did accomplish quite a bit! (It's rare!) Sheets and bathroom cleaning, plus ran a few errands! It's been pouring for 2 days here so I made hubby walk our one big dog and I walked for 30 minutes on the treadmill!! So I could eat dinner! ;-) lol

My day was okay! Babies were kinda rough today becayse lots of them are sick! But the toddlers were excellent!!!! <3

LOL! I can barely keep up with mine! I keep trying to do a small load every few days so it won't build up as much! Arrggghhh!

Poor babies! When my daughter was a baby I always freaked out when she was sick! And usually I was sick at the same time! Gah!! Do you get many colds working with kids?

I got a pretty strongm immune system so not TOO often but I do sometimes ;-;

OUR KIDS STAY SICK >; ( But when babies get sick its the worst </3 Its so hard to soothe them :c

Yes!! Sick babies are terrible! And since they can't tell you anything, it's hard to know what to do for them! :-(

my day has been okay, right side of my body is kinda feeling really weak right now though. just trading some oshawotts for some pokemon I need then going to start hatching some totodiles.

the newest ones are Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, ruby and sapphire remakes. they're quite good though and worth getting if you like pokemon :)
