I agree with . I'm in the Subeta timezone and I don't think those of us who are, are necessarily being catered to. Weekends, especially weekend nights, can be busy for people irl. The serious battlers stay on for hours upon hours anyway.

(The United States encompasses 6 9 different timezones fyi. People neglect to realize how big it is since it spans a continent and has outlying areas.)

I live in the US and missed both the first and second stages because I go out with my boyfriend on Friday and Saturday nights :P Real life takes precedence over Subeta.

i personally appreciate that they've given advance warnings of the times. i live in the uk and i've been on at least a bit for the first 2 rounds and should be on again (for a bit) for the 3rd. admittedly i wouldn't have been able to be on for the whole thing lol, but a chance to have a go at each round seems pretty reasonable to me.

true, german times freaking sucks. not everyone is awake at freaking 3am (this was the time for the first wave and I missed this completely). Yesterday IT STARTED at 11pm, I think it ended around 3 or 4am (I went to sleep at 2am because I honestly could not manage to stay awake any longer). Today.. I don't know when it will start but it will be in the (early) evening for me (the only reasonable time till now).

Anyway, I still appreciate that there are 3 waves/3 chances to battle Kiyo. But next time consider european times more please!

Look, I get the talk of dedication from srs battlers, I do. I'm certainly not one, I've hit Kiyo a few times for 400 damage and that's about it. Buuuuuut...

bitter European muttering

But as long as staff is making the attempt to be inclusive (THANK YOU, remember those achievements from the Saheric plot because most users certainly don't want to), I think they can make the effort to have some staff members online for a few hours for one day at a time they normally wouldn't be. Obviously plots are set up far beforehand, so why not?

Subeta goes by United States EST because that's where it's based. How dare they not accommodate more than they do!

I'm in the EST time zone and even I missed the majority of the battling plot. I didn't even get a chance for the mini-opponents because it kept saying none of my pets were eligible until it was too late.

I'm not seeing how it is so much worse for Europeans than for those in the US? Even in the US there are loads of ways the wave timings could be inconvenient.

The first wave should have been terrible timing for most Americans. Friday night, when most are probably coming from a full day of work/school/etc and had probably woken up early that day so by the time it started were ready to sleep. That sucked.

Second wave, started Saturday afternoon/evening. Saturday nights there's a good chance people already had plans to go out somewhere so maybe could probably only battle for the first couple hours.

Last wave supposed to be at around noon, not so convenient since it's in the middle of the day so high likelihood of real life commitments getting in the way. Another wave where unlikely anyone can be on for the whole thing.

Nowhere on Earth was it going to be convenient to participate for the majority of all waves unless you have no life and require little to no sleep. As long as 1 out of the 3 times works decently for you, or a part of one wave and part of another, that sounds to me like staff did a pretty good job spacing out times to give everyone at least some chance.

Let's recap, we fought 11pm-5am, 5pm-10pm, and will fight at least 12pm-5pm. So, let's see... Over the three days on the weekend (when most users are active), they have 15-16ish hours of active battling during all parts of the day. And for non battlers, they can even craft "weapons" continuously, even between the battles.

So please, tell me some more about how it's unfair.

(Also, I guarantee that every person on here has a real life. It's unfortunate if your real life responsibilities got in the way of you getting on over these 16hours, but it isn't unfair.)

Wasn't the original global battle (Part of the gelly war, right?) just ... out. For an entire weekend. So people were complaining that some people could just sit and battle the entire time and they'd get the prizes.

So it was changed up to be done in "waves" so that breaks were enforced, right? Isn't that why it's done this way now? And people are still complaining.

Next time I demand that only my battle pet gets the final kill on all waves. Even if I only battle once. I win everything.

I will not be satisfied until this happens.

I was asleep the first round, second was late but doable and third is a good time for europe as most of the people already left work. (7pm). So I have nothing to complain of. ^^

I'm from Europe, so yeah, I wasn't happy either with the first wave starting for me at 5am and the second at 11pm. But I battled a bit in the first from 9am to 11am after waking up, and in the second I stayed up for a bit, too, and today is okay to battle, too. I see so many people complaining about how only ONE slot is good for them to battle the entire time in and how that's unfair - but isn't that the point? Having at least one time slot for most time zones. Accommodating for every time zone doesn't mean "every timeslot will be perfect for everyone" but "everyone gets one at least". Also as many people have said and I have myself tried out, it definitely is possible to just battle a little here and there.

I'm just surprised that Subeta still thinks that world boss fights are still a thrilling and engaging part of a plot.

I missed most of the first round because I was at a wedding rehearsal and dinner. Then I missed the entire second round because I was photographing the wedding. Now I am really tired and not at all in the mood for battling, so of course that's when the third round happens! SUBETA, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?

ETA: I really hope people realize this is not a serious post.

Yes. It's clear that everybody hates boss fights, so no one should be upset at not being able to find a good time to join the battle.

I dont think that EVERYONE hates boss fights. But I think the majority do not enjoy them. Hell, I consider myself a battler and do put effort into my pet - but I don't see the appeal of battling the same thing over and over and over with zero chance of actually beating the thing.

I know this is something some people enjoy, but I also know the majority probably do not. I would rather have two extra battles to fight rather than the omg boss fight at the end.

But if I've learned anything on subeta in the last 8 years, its that they love boring repetitive things.
