I got the ping, your is not the first I have received by other teams and I know it wont be the last I will get by accident it happens, it was an accident and as with all pings I just delete no big deal, never understood why people do take offensive at them

I'll admit I get annoyed when people who aren't GR ping WS because they didn't delete the ping, but I have to agree, pinging the group to make your complaint known was pretty counter-productive. xD

Would it be possible to make it so that only admin can ping the WS group? That would stop all the accidental pingage from other people just copying posts and not removing the ping first.

This is how the Wayward Squirrel group has been set up from the time that the forums "switched to new:

A lot of us who own groups have filed tickets on this issue, and we've been told they are "working on it," along with restoring the ability to invite. This problem has been made worse by the fact that groups are now allowed their own private ping boards, which is the heart of these pings. The minute any post made by me is copied without the ping being removed, the system pings the entire group again.

Please understand that I have nothing to do with this, and am powerless to "fix it" in any way. This is part of Subeta's internal workings. I'm just another player trying to run a user-generated event. I don't mind pings myself, but I know some do, and of course, I would like to be able to goad the powers that be to move this to higher priority, but they have many things on their plates, so I don't see it happening soon.

I don´t think that´s a problem at all. Some seconds for deleting a ping really shouldn´t be worth talking about. :-) And you look gorgeous today (like always) - love your outfit! <3

Also..., I'm assuming there's not a word limit? I mean I know you all probably don't want to read a 300 page novel. But a few-ish pages to get the job done (and because I probably need an editor.) is fine, yes?

I'm not sure what you're referring to, hun? Do you mean my story/chapter narratives? Or do you mean how long your RP has to be?

If it's the former, just don't read what you find extra. There are actually players who enjoy following the story, so that's about the best compromise on that. As to your RP, it can be as long or as short as you want to make it. Sometimes, the longer and more detailed RPs definitely win. Other times, there's something succinct the judges really love. Whatever you feel comfortable with is fine.

This is seriously amazing ;A; I didnt want lazuli to have to leave so close to the end. She worked so hard and was amazing at the avas and rp. So Im glad we can keep her around to get her prizes!

Oh, no. Love your stories! They are always so interesting and and a lot of character and insight to the event. I am talking about my own rambling ever-so-rusty RP skills that I'm trying to bring to life in my Solo here. I just didn't know if there was a desired length or if it was what happens will happen. I'll probably cut it down once I'm done. I can say for sure that it is much less interesting than your stories and I don't want the judges to fall asleep on duty or anything!

It is the perfect treat for somebody who got 'patched back together' and is recovering! I will share a bite with Giltter.

Our longest entry was something on the order of 4000 words, about 33 novel pages. If half the groups wrote that much, it would be like a reading a novel for every chapter in this event. Wow, I admire our judges stamina.

Incredibly, I have only 28 events. I had over 1000 then they cleared them all and I have been trying to keep them that way.

Here's a thought, if you get a ping for this group from a name you aren't familiar with there's a handy red dot or the word "delete" that'll fix that for ya. Takes about a second to do and it's gone. How long it takes to tell someone off for something they did not intend to do.. I would think that would take far longer and leave a bad taste in the mouth of quite a few members who see said post. I know it does for me. I'm not in or Fresh's group so I deleted the ping. Not in yours either so I deleted that one too. And I didn't feel a thing.
