See, you look adorable! (Subeta doesn't have enough really cute yellow things, IMHO.) Yellow is happy making!
I must say that my team and I are a bit confused and at a loss as to what we are to RP for our companions. It seems that all we are having them do is go through tunnels that we assembled for them, so what exactly are we supposed to RP? From my viewpoint, unless I am missing something in the narrative, it seems like it would be an overall rather boring RP.
To clarify, are the tunnels being put together by our companions or by us before we leave for our solo adventures?
Are these tunnels meant to wrap around the roots as a means to travel inside the roots or are they seperate tunnels that let the companions travel down through the roots?
If we post our tunnel solutions on the chapter page, won't other teams see those and have the answer handed to them? Or maybe there are multiple solutions for it... hmmm.
We are having the same funk. I understand what was said earlier about holding our hands but at this point we have nothing to write about besides our companions putting a tube together. Even my 5-year-old niece couldn't think of anything to make it interesting, she asked me "what is the rest of the story?" when I told her about SilentOne (my character's crow) building a tunnel in some roots.
I'm also confused about how we are supposed to end the companion RP. Do we get to write about them coming into the Unseelie realm, or are we supposed to cut off once we place the last pipe and reach the exit? And are we supposed to write about them learning the invasion plans, or again, are we not writing that?
YES. I love yellow. Yellow makes me happy. Had to wear it. :)
For the "T" shaped pieces, at the stem where the two paths are together are they linked to where I could go from the left path to the right?
What I'm asking:
Are we stuck following the one path

Or can our companions move to the other lane when they are together?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm either dense and can't figure this out or I'm missing something. (I also don't want to assume)
Quick question regarding the pipes~
When you say we can flip and such, does that mean we can move the pieces. Similar to the bioshock hack system? [Linky Link]
Or do we need to rotate them with out lifting the piece? As in them being stationary and just able to turn and flip?
I just dont want to treat it like a jigsaw and put pieces anywhere if they need to stick to their spot xD
First of all; HAPPY BIRHDAY, DARLING EURUS!! Both of you, please see the new post on the chapter story thread, which should clear up a lot.
You may cross between sections of a piece. They are all hollow and open inside. You may also go in both directions. Hayao and Thorson made their own notations only to be a bit helpful, but, with one wacky alchemist and one overzealous inventor, how much help those notes may be remains to be seen.
No restrictions on the pieces except breaking them apart. You don't have to comb through your video games trying to see what I may have ripped off. I simply used an existing piece diagram made for another purpose entirely which was not related to any game. The problem posed with it is my own creation.
Oh I didnt mean to say you ripped any off. I just wanted to know if It was picking them up or if they can only turn. The bioshock image was the only way I could think to explain it. Im too much a visual type.
But it seems your no restrictions means anything goes other than breaking them haha. Though that would seem tough to do in chara so I shant attempt ;D
LOL--hey, you might not have, but you'd be surprised how many of my players tend to think I've never had an idea on my own--keeps them busy looking, and it's fun watching them walk into walls. I do borrow LOTS of stuff from myths, legends, historical events, scientific drawings, everything, but I love twisting, flipping, rotating and changing them for my own ebil purposes.
And, yes, no restrictions and LOTS of ways to solve this. The RP once you get in is the main thing.
I have suddenly become very confused. Not asking for hints, but going by this:
[tot=Zelly]
Good Lord GR, you are incredibly creative. :)
Holy carp!
Go teams, hang in there and damn, I'm glad I'm not doing this puzzle. I really suck at them.
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.
Ocean Conservation Namibia on YouTube... they do good work! https://www.ocnamibia.org
Well they suck 8D I mean 99% of this is the backstory and that is totally you. Sure some lore and puzzles may have ideas from other things, but I dont see it as being bad. You have a in depth pile of npcs in this, and even more we havent met/heard yet Im sure!
Plus, I mean, we all like to take things we love and add them to our stories and ocs. I sure tend to at least. If I dont I find all my Ocs just liking the same things as me and not being their own person.
Ok! We will focus on that rp bit.
Also, I cant tell you how excited I am to write my bard in his natural habitat. I didnt think I would get to use his other performance skills from his circus days in this 8D
There is no piece numbered 1, because the "1" is actually the root of the tree itself. That's the tree growing at your destination. Is attaching another piece to it a hazard? It well might be--up to your role-play to decide. It is growing out into a small part of the Borderland just beyond the SpiritBarge, so who knows.
I also have more questions: how is someone supposed to complete the companion RP if they only have animal companions? Are you allowed to rotate the pipe pieces or must they stay as is? I'm still really lost as to how these pipes go together. can all pieces be used? Honestly, though, I am at a great loss with these pipes so much so that I'm getting extremely frustrated
just letting you know that you wound up pinging the entire # WS group in your quote...whoops!

I'm afraid I don't follow your first question. Most of the companions are animal, some are birds. There re very few humanoid companions and they have been approved for the mission. Or are you trying to say your lion couldn't flip over, turn around, rotate, spin, or anything similar to those pieces? I can guarantee you that my terriers AND a number of my cats can do all of that with any Lego, "kitty train track" piece, and various other toys of all kinds. I suspect they aren't unique. Paws have quite a few uses, especially when you are working in tandem.
As to the "may you rotate," I don't know how to say any other way than I've already said over and over here and on the story thread that you may do anything you wish with the pieces except break them apart.
As to the next question, I already mentioned that there would be no hints on the part that involved Rosemary's information, so I'm not going to answer that.
I know that only humanoid companions can enter the tunnels. What happens if you don't have any is what I'm trying to get at

I never, repeat never, said that only humanoid companions could enter the tunnel, because that's absurd. Most companions are animals. I was asked if humanoid companions were allowed because someone interpreted that the wording meant they wouldn't be. So I agreed they were allowed.
Thank you for the birthday wishes! :D
OHHH!!! I totally misread/misunderstood. I'm really really sorry for the confusion love! hides

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! takes 's cake to give to you
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
