Yes please please please give us more pet slots. Please pretty please, if you do I'll quit neopets or at least go on a really long hiatus there. I haven't been very active there since I joined Subeta! I love subeta, the pet slots thing is the only thing it's lacking. If you give us more free pet slots this will become my new favorite pet site!

However, if that's what ends up happening for whatever reason, I will be making a cluster of empty shell desu quad pets I will ditch the second they win and I will rinse repeat as many times as needed 8| like hell ima conform my characters and ideas to fit the mold and have an unwanted trophy glaring me in the face 5ever. I have to say, as someone who loves the Spotlight, I always find the resulting sarcastic commentary about those who do like it and participate, bothersome. Honestly, the more I see the shitty comments about the Spotlight, the less I am convinced that there truly is any desire to have equality between pet lovers, no matter how much that chunk of lies is spewed. Every time anything concerning pets crops up, so does something about the Spotlight and how its the worst aspect of Subeta and needs to be abolished. I'm so tired of it. Please, just stop pissing all over a feature that many users enjoy and those who participate, and actually live up to that "I want all pet lovers to be happy" gunk that keeps getting spewed.

I didn't say a damn thing about the spotlight being bad, someone's insecurity is showing. All I said was it creates cookie-cutter designs (which it does, the laundry list of no-nos verses this is acceptable is staggering), and that I will create as many desuquaddydesigns as needed to get a slot if that's the only way to get another one.

Most winners are, in fact, adorable quaddy like designs-- and it's far easier to make those cookiecutter than anything else.

I am glad, though, that it won't be spotlight related-- there's achievements for it already, there doesn't need to be anything else rewarded for participating (since winning is the important part anyways, so I've been told 400 million times). And I hope the month will bring better news, as I've grown quite stale with just buying CWs for TCs.

The main issue I have with the pet spotlight is the staff judging's preferences being glaringly obvious. That has really little to do with anything relating to the userbase.

I'd rather have it be less about the judges' favorite aesthetics and seeing winners of different skill levels.

It's not my insecurities that are showing, , but the frustration of someone who's just tired of seeing the nasty comments about the PS and the pets/users who win it. You managed to insult anyone who likes cute things, like its a bad thing to like cutesy. I think your dislike of the Spotlight colours your view of it so much that you only see and acknowledge the "adorable" quads, and refuse to realize that there is a wide range of winners. The only cookie cutter aspect to the pets that win are because they follow the established rules, which I think are due for modification to be more modern and accessible.

I'll say this, I don't think its the rules that are causing the Spotlight to slow down. I think its the lack of interest. The feature has lost its shiny newness, and well, people just aren't going to actively pursue it any more. Sure some people probably gave up in frustration, but I think now, the reason is just because people don't feel the need to make Spotlight pets or to queue them.

I have 44 pets. Really, that should be enough. No one needs more than that.

I beg to disagree. I'd personally like to have more pets. Even if I have to pay 2000 CSC per extra pet.

I adore my pets; I'm just waiting to see what will happen with pet profiles in the short run to put their profiles back. Pets are my main center of interest on the site.

Like, people not into pets might think 40 is enough, but like, I have no interest in the wardrobe, so of course I'd be okay with capping the wardrobe and having more space being paid with CSC because well, I have ZERO interest in that.
