What can you get? what are the odds?

Not worth it unless you're doing it for the blue building (if you want to unlock it) You get a few items and some sP I believe? They may change the prizes on these eventually though.

I hope to dissuade you from this action unless you also intend to dissociate the Map from the BB.

I don't think you can do what you say you will do or what the Suggesting users wish. The prices of the Treasure Maps pieces do not reflect the value of the items you get from them because people assemble the map for a completely different reason: to get into the Blue Building.

No matter what you do with the prizes, the pieces are going to be selling for more than they're worth. The amount-more that they will sell for represents the amount of sP users will pay to access the Blue Building. There might be a time delay between the prices of individual pieces going up at the start of your change, so those users who were there at that place and time when you mess with the prizes, they will profit. Nobody else will. The end result will be making the BB access harder for new players just because some other more established users thought that somehow just because a Piece fell into their lap (or because they happen to have more sP than they know what to do with and buy pieces to gamble with) that the "worth it" should be they are crowned and given the kingdom.

currently [item=treasure map piece ] is worth the most, the rest at a much lower price. if someone wants to enter the blue building and needs this map, they can spend like 1.5m to buy it all. this takes no time to make at all. Remember, you can get these for free from REs, no one is forcing anyone to buy them. I doubt making maps worth using will make them raise to an unobtainable price, it'll most likely just result in a bumped up rarity range of the prizes which can still be worthless. entering the blue building is a pretty worthless accomplishment right now too. I would love it if it were harder to get in, maps were actually worth the gamble sometimes, and with the impending blue building revamp, that actually was worth getting into.

I never bought my map pieces. I found them all. And hey look, I just happened to need them for the BB.

I thought I put the reason why that was more expensive, guess I forgot xD thanks for adding that in :) I've completed a few maps before, and I have all but one in my vault right now.

I've completed one regular and the omen islands, and that's it. Why? Because I'd get more sP from selling them, honestly. And that... doesn't even make sense.

Assembling the maps for treasure would be a lot more fun than selling them. It seems more in the spirit of the item/game

For the BB issue, if the items are worth it, new users could potentially make back the sP and effort they spend on the pieces. The way I see it the problem is with the current system where the map is an expensive throwaway for an unrelated achv. If people primarily bought map pieces for profit, sellers would have to price them accordingly to move their stock. The map pieces are a random event, not retired, so (while I'm positive the price will spike initially) it has to level out.

I now wish I had saved more pieces instead of just throwing them in my shop and selling them.

any chance we could get a couple stats or a chance to gain some from the treasure maps in the future? :) (idea of ) or have you decided on something else?

We are discussing a few things! idk about giving stats out via that, I'd have to see how the BAs felt about that.

I assumed you'd need to discuss it with them, but I hadn't thought of that and Virus thought it would be a good idea. not a ton of stats but even a few would be great. it's nice to see that you are working on these though :) thanks!

I'd say no for stats, but what about currency points for existing currencies?

Like Wizard Tokens/Crystals and maaaaaaaaaaaybe seasonal currencies? Like, points added to the total, not items, obviously.
