I remember I bought a couple of pieces that were less expensive to get into the Blue Building and thinking after that the treasure really wasn't worth the amount of sP I had to give out. However, having access to the Blue Building was well worth it. I completed my second treasure map after years of collecting pieces and realizing that the second time was well worth it if you take into account that I didn't pay anything for my treasure map. Why not increase the chances of getting the rarer pieces of the map instead? It literally took me years to accumulate all nine pieces by finding them around the site. I find it's easier to find certain pieces through random events.
Keel hauliday is approaching and the items already had their value killed the first time by putting them in the quest :( can we just have some rare items on the site?
To get to Omen Islands is worth it, because you can use the Ocean Depths vending machine. I've earned back my investment(but spent that too).
It would be a small chance :P I'm not saying you have a 50% chance of getting one of these items, it'd be a like 5%. Yes, we can have some rare items on site but some of these from the shop never get that many out because it's a holiday open for 10 days and more items get added to it every year.
Small chance would be okay I guess. I'm just tired of things having value them people complaining because they don't want to pay for them or don't want to wait for them to be rereleased, then their value gets killed because they get released in mass and now things are worthless.
[edit] if inflation and how sP is becoming worth less and less, why is it necessary to always deflate items?
Yeah, we'd be doing it as a very small chance just to expand the pool of possible items. I like the idea of giving out other currencies that brought up.
as long as a chance for stats is added in there :( maybe a low low chance for an item straight from the RB shop or something? old token shop items that need to be brought back anyway? other retired items?
tbh I'd rather have a chance of like BHH items going out over TS items, because I've been bringing back old TS things every week and making their prices a lot less ridiculous. oh god people would cry at another way to get BHH, hopefully tears of joy ahhaha
bhh items aren't that expensive, except for new ones. they usually shoot down under 10m. so idk why everyone's always upset about bhh. there are some collectible items that stay above 10m, but as I said, can't we have some rare items on the site? not everything needs to be 500k. yeah you've been doing a good job with token shop items. you could always request some treasure map exclusive items...
Honestly, there are a LOT of things that have a chance of randomly giving stats.
I mean, scratchcards, coin machine, random events, job center...
I could live with treasure maps not giving stats because a lot of other things do.
I'm never against things that randomly give stats.
I don't buy the argument that these things already give out stats, nothing else needs to give them. of all the things you said, none of them give them all that often.
:) I have requested a few. And actually a lot of things from the BHH and TS are still well over 500k. Again you make it sound like every time you complete a map one of these items are going to go out or for every other map. That's not going to be the case.
idk, I feel like getting stats should be something special. Not something that should be linked to every single activity on site?
Also, idk for Scratchcards, but the coin machine is pretty good at giving stats.
additional items going out does bring down the value considerably though, especially if you get the user with it who undercuts everything by 5 mil. I'm sure if the chances are right (and you will probably be monitoring them too / adjusting them as it goes) it won't affect things all that much, but in the past I've seen so much deflation of items I've had that it's just frustrating. I used 500k as an exaggeration, most token shop items hover around a mil for awhile, some other things go to 3m and fluctuate for awhile, at least from what I've seen recently. and that's awesome, exclusive items are always great :)
coins are from REs, so that's a random chance from a random occurrence. I don't gain stats from the wardrobe. if I did, I might actually use the wardrobe more. since when are treasure maps, job agency, coin machine, and random events every single activity?
I'd like the treasure map to possibly have a chance of giving an exclusive boon for more common random events for a short period of time, maybe.
Because if you're that skilled of a treasure hunter, maybe good fortune will smile upon you
Or, another short-term boon that will bring multiply the SP quest gain by 1.1, again in a money-attracts-money idea.
I like the idea of exclusive boons for treasure maps, and I'd like treasure maps to be...a lot more common than they are right now. I haven't had a piece since like, April.
which is why I don't want to include TS items in any other sort of pool of items because I try to keep the prices around 1mil+ :) I mean look at how rare the stickers via hustler system is. We've kept those rares and will continue to keep them pretty rare. Right now, treasure maps give out pretty crappy prizes and we'd like to make the chances of you getting something awesome a little higher. Like currencies or rare item or two. It won't happen every time or every few times, it'd be a gamble. :p Like the coin machine (which lol i requested new items for that)
I actually found that even without exclusive items, that the coin machine is actually fairly profitable, as far as gambling goes.
SPEAKING OF, I HAVE A COIN IN MY INVENTORY
I can support all of that as long as it doesn't lead to a huge amount of deflation :) I haven't noticed those since I don't do stickers, but I'll take your word on that :p
The wardrobe is literally the only activity on site where you cannot get stats and/or boosters, you can get stat boosters via quests, site events, games such as scratchcards, random events, restocking, job agency, and actually battling.
You'll still be able to boost even if maps don't give out stats, don't worry.
For someone who primarily battles and doesn't do much else, it's nice to see when stat increases are included. Battling gets so little emphasis the rest of the time, except for our monthly pay to play challenger. I don't see what the big deal is including them?
