This also raises another question... us with over 2,5000 items in galleries/shops, what will happen? Will be allowed to keep them there or are we suddenly gonna find them in our inventory or be forced to move them out?
not to mention that if you vend you reach your limit in 5 days :/
Well, I'm not vending or questing today. I got that warning while trying to stock my shop with stuff from quests. Shop, not gallery. So I guess if I want to price everything already in there to make room I have to buy a GA (too lazy to hand price everything). Usually I wait until I have a large amount in there then I use a GA. But still, there's no guarantee that what gets sold will make enough room just for items from doing 1 day of quests. So doesn't this discourage people from actively playing? Not good Subeta.
I could have sworn he said it would only be for shops, though. I mean what are we supposed to do if we have a theme gallery and not just a huge hoard? How do you break up one theme into multiple galleries?
I can't add stuff to my gallery either...
I just added things from my inventory. One item at a time... Not the preferred method but it worked. :P
actually, you can have a hoard as long as you have less than 2500 unique items.
eg i have a shop with 75k items, but only ~400 uniques

BUT I can manually add items into the shop gallery - it's just quickstocking that stops me.... (not much help for mass moving, but at least it is still possible!)

I was able to add stuff from my vault in bulk. Although I doubt it's intended that we be able to do that.
Hopefully there will be an explanation and a way to boost the number of uniques soon :)
A warning news post or other notification would have been really nice. Also it would be nice to have confirmation that yes, this is a thing and not just some mis-click somewhere.
Third thing, if this is a thing, retire the hoarding achievements.

Aside from the entire lack of warning (thanks), 2,500 items is WAY too low a limit. That's less than 4% of the unique items on the site. What am I supposed to do with more than half the items in my shop?

Whoops! Sorry this wasn't meant to be implemented yet :) It's only supposed to effect normal shops (as we're splitting galleries into a separate feature) and shouldn't have been switched on at all. The flag got set.

Galleries won't have limits, because they'll be spun off to separate pages. That'll make them a lot less stressful on the system than they are now (because those items are included in all shop search queries / item price queries / etc) so they shouldn't need limits.

He will let you know a good 15 minutes in advance, so that you have plenty of time to plan
(Because text affects the width of your signature, we suggest testing with all text removed to be sure your width is correct.)
Also, the wording on the error was incredibly old (as in five+ months) and didn't reflect the actual number of items. The real limit now (although obviously not enforced) was 7,500. The flag was easy to set while working on other things, and has been changed as well so it shouldn't be accidentally pushed again :)
