Call me weird but your edit looks more cat like to me than the proposed revamp. The revamp is doggy like, for me, and I don't mind that.

I'm definitely in favour of the new design, but I also think it is more of a kitten face right now than an otter face. I think the muzzle should be changed up a little, make it wider or maybe don't let it stick out that much. Or make the cheeks less puffy. I believe otter faces are more of a diamond-ish shape. I know that's meant to look cute, but I think it should have a more unique style and not look like a Feli with fins.

's version with the smaller eyes and without the line is really adorable! I love that, and I think I prefer it that way.

The new art looks great! The extra digits on the paws look nice, and the ears! I never knew how much the ontra needed ears until this new art!

I have a few nitpics, but overall I do think it looks better. First, the ontra seems to have lost a bit of it's mischievous look. Perhaps the new expression is part of it? If the ears weren't pulled back it might help a lot. And the extra fins might be an unnecessary addition.

Other than that, I love it!

i love the revamp! it's so adorable and the ears remind me of a scottish fold's ears, for some reason... <3

I really like the new revamp. The only thing I have to as is maybe shrink the eyes just a tad? They seem just a little to big for me and it makes them look a bit weird. That's just my personal opinion though. Overall, I love the revamp so much more than the original and will definitely be getting one.

I mean, it's different, but it might just be change for the sake of change. I think at this point it's purely subjective. The original revamp is still fantastic. :)

I do think the head is a bit too small. Mind you, that could just be because I'm so used to the size of the current Ontra's head. I can't anatomy either.

This is a great improvement compared to the previous version. The skull is properly portioned to the rest of the body and the snout is oval-shaped than square. Adorable. ❤

Don't like the smaller eyes. The wider mouth is not good either. It makes the face look really weird. This user suggestion just seems really off-putting. It makes it look like a really ugly dog.

I would love to see the line on the forehead gone though...o.o

I love the new revamp save a few things..the extra fins on the tail and the ears I don't like. I feel the ears should be round. But I really love it over the old.

At first I was hesitant on the downward ears, but they are starting to grow on me! I absolutely love the tail appendages. Adds some uniqueness to what could normally be a plain ol' tail. I like the user edits that have broadened the nasal area, and thinned the chin. It looks more align with aquatic face shapes. But I like the big eyes :)

But why would they remove the tail fin because it doesn't make the fictional creature look exactly like the real life creature ? Snakes don't have wings. Should we chop off the serpenth's wings? You said it best yourself, "this is an Ontra, not an otter."

I think that the Ontra revamp needs a small amount of work but I love what your doing with it. I liked the Ontra face and body turned slightly to the right it made it look like it was floating on water. Also I don't like the ears that much. Other than that I love what you guys are doing with the revamp I would love to see what you do from this point on.

Aww, the new revamp looks so cute!

Decided to try a quick edit to show what changes I'd personally make c:

Made the eyes a little smaller since it really did look sort of chibi to me beforehand, tried to make the expression a little less timid. I think that adding more 'alert'-looking ears really helps make the ontra look less shy, though obviously the actual artist would do MUCH better than I did. :P I added a little bit of lighter color to the area of the tail I was complaining about earlier hahaha, feel free to ignore that though. I also widened the muzzle a bit, because personally I think the ontra would look fantastic with a slightly wider one! It makes the face less similar to the feli without being too much wider, and helps make it a little more otter-ish to me, rather than having such a cat-like face. (Which I don't mind too terribly, but I just think it'd be cuter and a little less "merkitty"-ish and more otter-kitty this way.)

Loving the revamp, I suggest slightly smaller eyes and a taller forehead, also perhaps a furry outline at the top, like the original. Overall art quality much better, can't wait! Well done!

Beautiful revamp, adore the expression. I appreciate how it doesn't stray too far from the original.
