OUCH!!! Don't be throwing stuff at me! I can't catch worth shit! And OMG Fluttershy is my favorite pony. She's so sweet and gentle....and has The Stare and will totally kick your ass if she has to. :D Baby Girl likes Rarity,9yr old son admits he thinks Applejack is cool and 4yr old boy runs around the house yelling "I'm Rainbow Dash! I'm super fast!" We have somehow ended up a household of Pony People.

Wait..........did I see loopholes mentioned? Loopholes can be fun. Or dangerous.

Yea Fluttershy did. I don't recall the reason why tho. I remember the episode. @ greenrowan This is all you have to do ... Keep us all in line. LOL

SilverLegends is a broken up MLP group. LOL We each have our roles based on our role in the group pretty much. LOL MLPs for the WIN!

@Greenrowan
I actually have a question. Do we have to defeat the Darkfog things in battle OR do we just need to defend/distract enough to help get the squirrel docked???

All righty, then. After having a mini-meltdown with some of my judges over this whole vehicle issue/nightmare, we finally came up with some guidelines for building and using that we hope and feel will put WS3 back on track as a plotted adventure and out of, as one so aptly put it "a free-form sandbox."

So, grab some refreshments from the back table, where there are all sorts of hot and cold beverages and cookies, sandwiches, pizza, and yes, cake. Then pull up a chair and settle in.

(If one or more of the judges made a point, I'm bolding it, since their opinions have a great deal to do with your team scores. If it's just a shared decision we made, consider to be from me. :D )

The level of RP from the opening round is probably the best yet. Keep it up and we'll do our jobs. We've got excellent role-players in here!

Some of you posting on the threads and picking every word in every post apart are arguing with Rowan simply for the sake of arguing. That's nonsense, unnecessary, and a wise idea to cut it out.

I am a Professor of Mathematics. I teach novel theories of Logic among other subjects. While I consider many conundrums to be related to my field, I also have lively discussions with linguists who claim an equal number as part of their discipline. The challenges presented to you were, in my opinion, parlor puzzles. Philosophical musings are probably not needed. You may see a wink in that statement.

When any small addition to an adventure becomes a behemoth for the designer of the event, it needs to be immediately restricted to manageable proportions. Right now, it's mass turmoil.

So, with all that good advice in mind:

You were told at the beginning of this shared adventure that your team could play with a "Firefly," Fantasy, or Bordertown character base. The "all things to all men" wasn't listed. So, if you are a "Firefly" team, you are constructing a "Trainquility Class" (Subeta's name doing, not mine) vessel. One side compartment will house the Victorious Vixen. The other will have one of two options for the extra side compartment: A place for a small "tie-fighter" type vehicle, OR if you are Fallen Angels or League of Whovians, your Bard's shuttle. NOTE: These ships cannot enter Seelie Lands. You will be guests in a Faerie Coach sent by the Seelie King for the court chapter.

If you are a Fantasy team, you are designing a Faerie glider/skimmer. Because there seems to be some confusion over my choice of word, this is a craft that uses magical power to glide over terrain without touching it. Your mage will enchant it, and you can make it as plain or fancy as you like. It can resemble Cinderella's coach without the wheels or a single dragonfly body. NOTE: This vessel will run out of power outside of Seelie territory. Rent bikes from Madame Miranda for the Unseelie Rider attack chapter.

If you are a Bordertown team, you will design motorcycles for your group. You will ride these together as one unit. No one is willing to structure or judge an event around almost 100 independent players doing whatever strikes the fancy of the moment. Rev up these bikes to your hearts content, but they obviously cannot take to the skies, nor can they enter Seelie Territory. You will need to make other arrangement for the Air Invasion chapter, as will those with Fantasy vehicles.

If your team is mixed, with members from different backgrounds, you may choose any of these options for your team vehicle, but you may choose only one!

Choosing any of these options will give you an automatic bonus for the chapter based on that vehicle. You may only choose ONE of these three options, but you may submit up to three designs for judging. All designs must use items on Subeta, BUT you may be as creative as you wish. You also do not have to list an item multiple times, even though you may be using a lot of them. For example: only needs to be on the list, even though you may have made the whole sides from them.

We really do believe that these limitations are a fair and equitable way to handle this situation for everyone on both "sides of the curtain." Hope you do, too.

Additional questions welcome.

Wow, that discussion must have been tough! Thank you and your trusty judges for doing all this work for our fun. I'm sorry, but I still have a question for clarification: as far as I remember, every character, not every team, could choose to play a "Firefly," Fantasy, or Bordertown character base. We are a team with characters from all categories - do I understand it right that our decision of vehicle type here is free and not bound to any kind of majority in our characters' backgrounds?

Since this is my first WS, I still have to bother you with the occasional newbie question.

You did a GREAT job introducing the relevant characters from past events. And it has been very helpful. But can you give just a brief one or two sentence rundown of all these crafts? Are they all spaceships? I did see the illustration of the Flying Frenchman (although I'm not clear if it flies by magic, or by technology of a different land.

I probably sound really dense, but I had to look a long time to discover that the Wayward Squirrel was a building...and until I got that fact, I was quite confused.

Thanks so much!

Yes, you may choose any of the categories for any mixed team. I'll clarify that in the main post. You would only choose one. However, you will not be deprived, since everyone will have the alternate vehicles needed to solve all the challenges. It's where creativity hits you, and where your "autobonus" will be.

The Flying Frenchman is a Nexus/Crystanian vessel. It flies mostly by steampunk technology, but it was magically cursed in WS2, and its reincarnation has been amplified by the Nexus wizards. (WS2 was a steampunk adventure.)

These new vessels are unique to WS3, and wide open for interpretation. The backdrop had created for us as an exclusive shows a Firefly tribute version of the "Serenity" ship fatured in the series. This is a spaceship.

Faerie glider/skimmers appear in various fantasies, but are often described only in print, so what we see come through as designs are pure imagination from our players. This is a magical vehicle, not a spaceship.

The Bordertown bikes, are motorbikes which can be given any sort of creative twist. In this adventure, the Unseelie possessed creatures known as BoneRiders ride bikes made from the bones of their human and animal victims. They consume the flesh of their kills, then bleach, dry, and harden the bones to make these vehicles. Because of the violence of their making, riding these vehicles poisons the rider and drives him or her into beserker madness. These are the creatures Tanaka and Kelian fought in the first chapter.

Had to be done, sweetie! Big time!

Thank you! This helps a lot. I really do learn experientially. I just need to know how to think of things as I fly my gravy boat around the kitchen. It also gives me a way to explain to the hubs what the Hell I'm doing now. ;)

Mine won't play either. He just always wants to know why when he catches me flying the gravy boat or having a tupperware battle in the hot tub. (Yes, both those things really happened)
