buckles self in and gets out the squirt bottle Point me at who needs a gentle kitty reminder to behave and stop causing problems haha.
BWHAHAHAHA! I literally laughed out loud at the outLauried Laurie thing but that disclaimer quip about put me over the edge!
I've been thinking, we've got some fresh new faces who might not know how to do image tags and spoilers or the handy-dandy edit trick so maybe something like this should be part of the Q&A thread.
Worried that your RP is too big? No problem, that happens all the time on adventures like this. To make a massive post, first you'll need to post a word or two on the official thread. Click to edit that post and you'll be able to fit both images and spoilers containing that wall of text with ease.
Not familiar with image tags? No problem, just use the code inside the box and after a few times it'll be second nature.
If you want your image on the left or right side of your post, there's a code for that:
[img align=left]URL GOES HERE[/img]
[img align=right]URL GOES HERE[/img]
And the ol' stand-by to center your images:
Not familiar with spoilers? No problem, spoilers are almost the same as posting images.
PUT WHATEVER YOU WANT HERE
Paste your RP or whatever you want hidden behind the spoiler tag here.
Not sure if there's a certain format to follow when posting? In a word - No. Take a look at a few of the RP posts on the official thread and you'll see that the team's RPs are as unique as they are. The only rule we follow is only the captain or co-captain can post their team's official entry.
There is a second way to use the spoiler tags if you're in the mood for dressing things up. I call it a divider, and this is what it looks like:

Our Lair is proof you don't have to stand face to face to know you've got friends who stand with you when you need us.

Okay, this is not an RPG in the sense you mean. I love those, and spend waaaaayyyy too many hours and all-nighters playing them, starting with the old pencil and paper bit. I regret NOTHING.
However, this is a combo of a different sort. As my veteran players can tell you, WS is its own thing, so:
Name: Obvious to all as you intro and play Age: No one cares--just Rp and it will show. Alignment: Not used Weapons: You can only use what you first wear and what you can get or maybe make, and, in a rare piece of luck, loot during the event. None of you can bring arsenals. wink
Basically, WS doesn't use character sheets or stats, and only very rarely "dice rolls," which are announced in advance, open to all, and determined HERE as I've found this to be the closest to random we can get. (Yes, I do have complete sets of dice, but the DM rolling? You see what that can lead to. :D )
loud cheer THANK YOU for that post!
Note to self: When suffering slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, always grab friends who have your back!
I thought Tea-roll was the one that was rolling -- off a cliff!

Okay--I think I got lost on that statement...looks for rolls Ah, found it! That's right--you missed the "cheating/unfairness" season of WS1.
Good miss on that one. :D
Seriously? -.- Glad I missed that, then. ^.^;;

It was just silly. One team just posted the answer to a puzzle instead of smailing. They were right, and it was before the deadline, so if others wanted to "copy." It did let me know how intense and competitive people felt, though, so it worked out well overall. I needed to be aware of that, and it's helped me ever after. :D
How does that relate to rolling? O.o I thought it was something like someone accused you of choosing the numbers or something.

Every year, I always get a few questions about how "unbiased" I will remain with a number of my close friends participating. As I said, feelings quickly become intense. So I do "bend over backwards," if you will, to be complete overt in all my actions. Rolling objects behind the scenes is not as clean as using a truly random generator that one of my judges or "wingwomen" can use for me.
For example, if I may use you, you question and examine all my remarks. I'm happy to answer your concerns, but I'm doubly happy to do so here where everyone has access. The more open I am with you, the more open I am with all. So I very much appreciate your "public" conversations with me. It's all about transparency, although that word is ridiculously misused. So CYH! (Consider yourself hugged!)
hugs for real Haha, yeah. I know you wouldn't play favorites. But competitive? Us? Naaaah~ hides a knife behind her back

Ah. Uh. I missed that last WS ping somehow, and I was one of the Borderfolks in the Catnip Thieves, and I wrote my story to be a Borderlands native. (I seriously didn't get that we shouldn't be, sorry!) I'd love to start out at the crossroads, too, though, so to not have to rethink and rewrite the whole thing, I just assumed the Borderlands are... kinda big, and placed my small hometown at the edge of it, and I'll be pretty excited to travel to the "inner Borderlands", as I call it. Is that ok?
thank you! No purple sadly, but I will hope maybe someday lol

If there isn't an Alchemist in your party, then you obviously can't use one. It doesn't say, you must use every class. It says you must use every member of your party! Also, has already taken care of your Bard issue with me.
None of you need to double roles. Just do your own part. You are much more likely to have your score affected by attempting to be "all things to all men" than you are by playing yourself wonderfully.
