A small note for the first post, my character is actually a Polymath, in that he is a "Jack of all Trades".

I'm sure that was simply left there from my predecessor, so I thought I'd just speak up. scuttles away to go back to lurking from the shadows

Yes, Vagabonds are also Polymaths, when the category exists, which would be Crystania. Right now, you're in Bordertown.

Congrats to the teams that got bonus points. Can the Fallen Angels get a critique from the judges on our gift basket please? It can be sent smail if you'd like. We did put a lot of thought into ours and wondered where we missed the mark. Thank you.

I'm going to let the judges field this, as they've gotten quite a few requests for critiques this year.

Quote
When it comes to critiques in the "what&;s wrong" category, we&;re going to tell you "nothing," because that&;s correct. No points were subtracted from scores, which means all of your entries met the requirements for the assignment.

Now, why didn&;t you get the bonus? That&;s another easy answer. You didn&;t impress us more than others in that particular assignment at that particular time. No, we&;re not going to give each of you, or each team, a detailed analysis of what you could have changed, because the next time with a change in circumstances, what you did might happen to be the exact thing we wanted to see.

What we can do is tell you why those six teams received a bonus. Rowan can fill in the names since we go by numbers.

Team 1: This was a very unified package worthy of a prince, but not one of war. Enchanted items were happily included and each member of the team gave personal insights born of his or her own background. We especially liked the Transphibian tailors having to struggle to make a riding jacket that wasn&;t seaweed. There was a whimsical dignity overall.

Team 2: This team made a very important point. Kelian didn&;t risk his life just to find a prince, but to find his brother. Delgar recognized not a Seelie noble, but his younger brother. Each gift in this package was very personal, reflecting colors he might like, and the quote chosen to summarize this brother package was perfect:
"And now let&;s go hand in hand, not one before another."

Team 4: This package took all the things of Delgar&;s home, which he really hasn&;t seen nor lived in for many years, and surrounded him with things of warmth and comfort, hoping to return some of his very earliest memories. Every sense was used, and the music set the stage for the final gift to keep him from being lost again. It tugged lyrically on heartstrings.

Team 5: This package was very personal, and built on a variety of things the Prince might not have experienced. There was a treasured adventure relic, books and scrolls to fill in what was missing in all those years away, a familiar for the spirit, a protective weapon, and some food items. Everyone needs a few chocolate chip cookies to make him or her feel at home.

Team 6: This package was an acrostic of Delgar&;s name, making it full of whimsey. It was light, it was airy, and most importantly, it was fun. This team took a completely different approach and figured that a Seelie Crown Prince probably had everything, but seriously needed a few good times in good company. They even built in a clever riddle at the end, creating a rainbow of the items selected. We loved it!

Team 8: This one consisted of sacrifice; the giving of something personally precious. Each of the selections had a touching personal story behind it, each of them touching in his or her own way. The "conjure man" with the gods and the gris-gris at the end was a perfect touch that unified and lifted the whole idea.

So, these were the ones we liked and selected this time. Next time is, well, next time. And once again, we answer your "what did we do wrong?" with "nothing."

Hopefully, this will help some of you who want more feedback. The teams listed by team number are in the same order as the roster: Bohemian Travelers, Catnip Thieves, Foggiest Notions, League of Whovians, Midnight Dancers, and Nightowls!

PS: Yes, there is still one more Vesnali Egg hidden. Two teams have "sniffed around the area," but so far, no one has found it.

All right, here we go with the final scoring and the resulting "Shopping Spree."

For those of you who aren't sure how this works: There are 335 items in the Squirrel's Bounty. You each get three. (Once again, if you have a team member who hasn't shown up since Chapter 1 or 2 and hasn't even bothered to tell you why, Captains, please boot these people! It's not fair to all those who worked so hard.)

The teams will go in and choose based upon finishing order, with the five highest scoring teams making a pick first, then the next five highest scoring, and then the four who scored next. The order will then begin again.

Please note that each of you picks only one item for each round. That way, everyone should get at least one of their "heart's desires." There's so much wonderful stuff here I don't think anyone can "lose," but we want to make the selections as fair as possible without neglecting the fact that higher scores are, well, higher.

Final Team Placements are just below the judges' comment, which may make some of you very happy or maybe, in the mood to throw rotten fruit. ;D

Quote
For the final scores, those of you who have never gotten one of our bonus scores will be very happy, because we scored Chapters 9 & 10 as a piece, and found that you all outdid yourselves amazingly with all tasks assigned. Yes, that is correct. All teams got bonuses for all role-plays, and we were awed by the level!
As to the costume selections, we were also impressed and found fifteen we really liked. Oddly enough, they turned out to be one from each team, with the fifteenth a duplicate entry. No, this hasn&;t happened before, but it easily could. Evidently, the site blacked out a number of the entries, but not before they were judged, and Rowan assures us she has the names of the submitters if not the picture. These were brilliant depictions, and gave us many chuckles as well as exclamations of admiration at fitting the scenarios so well. PS. For our tastes, if you are given a difficult item to wear, wear it proudly. The more you hide, the lower your entry will appear to us. (Anyone can hide a body. Propping dead Uncle Alfred up so he looks like he&;s still studying his lecture notes takes skill.)
However, as you can see with the breakdown, this meant that each team got a bonus for the avatars as well. Even adding points for event conclusion to bring the total to 5000 points didn&;t change your end scores, but you now have "bonus bragging" rights. You gave us truly entertaining entries and we were very glad to be your judging panel. Hopefully, we shall all see you next year. Farewell, Adventurers!

Here are the chosen HAs. If they got blackened because I posted by links, I have listed the names of the submitters: Chook of the Bohemian Travelers (Black) Witch of the Nightowls (Black) Cole of the Whovians (Black) Ire of the Midnight Dancers (Black) Kellijuana of the Mischievous Misfits (Black)

And now, the final placements to head into the shop and grab the things you most want!
