: Is the problem confined to just one browser on the computer?

I added the new delish items 3 different time and checkmarked the clothingbox and undid my pin number (okay, the first time I forgot that part but still!) but still I could not make it add the overlay. SO I deleted them again until someone smarter than I comes along to teach me right

: Bleah. Marlboro also had trouble with this -- I'm wondering if there's an underlying problem (like it works from some browsers but not others). Once we get the forum spam problem addressed, I'll play around and see if I can find out the issue.

BTW when I tested the password part when I entered some clothing, I was on FF and it worked perfectly.

Second thing I tried, but I didn't have a backup point. None at all, not even a very old one. So I made one then and there, so I could undo any fixes from this point. Good thing too because that's what I ended up using when I couldn't get online at all.

Nope. First thing I did was try to get in with a different browser. Its what made me think it was my ISP in the first place. FF, Chrome, hell even tried IE and they all gave the same, or rather similar errors, Network Timeout.

I have made progress - the problem is NOT the browser, and not my ISP. I've played with the firewall, even turned everything off long enough to make sure it wasn't that either.

Only thing left is the scary dangerous stuff, windows itself. I've been sending out some pings and did a route trace and stuff goes out a little ways then just hits a wall. I've also got information on how to reset winsock, but finding it hard to trace info on exactly what this will do to my computer and how to undo it. I've got a command to show me the library and save the data, but so far I haven't tracked down what I need to be able add the library back if things get really screwy. There's also supposedly a file to diagnose winsock problems, I'll probably try to track that down before actually resetting it.

Lypsyl, I wish I had more suggestions for you. It has been so MANY years since I did any real work actually ON computers. Dear god it has been 17 years since I worked for Dell. That hardly seems possible! The timing does seem really odd to me since it was right after our down time.

Speaking of, O, word on updating the forums?

Yeah its been a long time for me too, the vast majority of my knowledge base is ancient. LOL which isn't that much of an issue since my computer, the windows version it runs and browsers are all also ancient!

I really don't think its related to the down time. I was on after the downtime with no problems. This happened a day later, I think. Something got corrupted somewhere along the way, the problem is to find where.

yes, I have ancient knowledge! With a brain to ancient to recall most of it anymore :p

The forums updated nicely, but now the front page is messed up (the front page is trying to get news posts from an older format). I'm working on it.

- I'll add them now. I was trying to focus yesterday on Ariel's updates. I updated all of the trading cards, changed the rarity for all of the trivia prices, and started on the rarities for restock war prizes. I'll continue with those updates today.

- There are some funky things happening. On the main SubetaLodge page, here, there are no divisions between news posts, making it difficult to read, at least for me. Also, in the forum, there are no BBCode shortcut buttons any more when you are posting. Also in the forum, some posts are acting like there is a sidebar and the navigation buttons at the top of the forum are still there, but there's no text. On a side note, the new add items functions are marvelous! <3

- I'm updating the rarity for all of the Restock War items... Should I also update their restock location? They either say that they restock at "The Hut" or "Pirate Bay", but they all restock at the "Antique Shop" now.

So, I'm trying to update the Sword of the Seven Seas, but it won't let me change the official price.

This should be fixed. Ninety kazillion things left to fix.

I think that price not changing (it won't for me either) may have something to do with the updates did. As for changing the restock location, yes, but make sure the notes reflect where it originally was found.

I am sure you know, but just in case... No sidebar News alert doesn't work Submitting an item after editing doesn't tell you anything has happened or give a link to the item itself. and the lovely little "edit next item" is gone also price updating has stopped but you probably did that on purpose probably other stuff too

: Working on the sidebar issue right now: The template we've been using isn't compatible with the new version of the software. I dug around and found this updated version, which I think will help. Cross your fingers.

- I've been updating restock locations, rarities, and currencies for a bunch of items, keeping the original restock location and price in the notes if applicable. I'll keep a post-it note that the Sword of the Seven Seas still needs attention.

Well, I just deleted spam that managed to create a new newspost. That could be a real issue. :/

- Forums won't load at all now :(

- Should we now get rid of "The Hut" and "The Pirate Bay" as restock locations seeing as those items all now stock at the "Antique Shop"? If so, we could also get rid of Restock War Points as a currency.
