Click through it how? I am trying to understand, lol. How is this different than when an edit is submitted and we are given the option to edit the next item? Hmm, editing the next item is probably by subeta id number? so I talked myself in a circle....Click through how?

If I hit submit it doesn't automagically go to the next item. And it doesn't record the whole list as being edited. I have to click the link that shows up in the response to go top the next item and it only records that if I hit submit on that next item...;..;

- Love the new page! It was easy and successful. I think we just need to add it a little more instructions, as some people will not know how to find the source code. We might want to add a little something like "After you have entered your source code, press "return" to allow the list to process." I wouldn't have known what to do if I hadn't read Georgie's post.

I entered the whole damned plushie collection. Worked fine, but so tedious.

Found a misspelled item on SubetaLodge and fixed it.

Found a bunch of items missing from the item directory. Most of the New Years Shop is just not there. Makes me wonder if anything else is missing. Does anyone remember if the changes to the Item Directory Building happened around that time? If so, that could be why those items are missing. Anyway, off to do a bug report.

...from a beta tester : So far I've done Eqquix's books. I went to Sticker Album next (this list was the most needed), but its not accepting the source code (says source code not recognized). I'll move on to others in the meantime and circle back, but just thought you should know

Turns out that if you get to the sticker album from the Game Room page, you get different code than if you get to the sticker album from your profile. The template I had for stickers recognized one of these but not the other one.

I've fixed that, and now either one should work. Would you like to let crash know, or should I?

sigh I know, I know. We can do a lot of things if we're acting as a logged-in user (like we do with the admin mass-add script), but Subeta won't display collection pages to a not-logged-in user. I've tried a couple of things today to automate grabbing multiple pages, but unless we have users log in with their Subeta credentials, it doesn't look possible.

Georgie doesn't want to have regular users logging in through SubetaLodge, and I agree with her. We'd get the blame for every "stolen" item, hacked account, etc.

I really want to come up with a way to make mass-add less tedious, but I'm hitting dead-ends. :(

Dude, I totally know it's not on you on that one. I don't think there's any kind of easy way to get it to drag all the info out because Subeta has made it so that it's for sure all stored on different pages.

The only thing that was easier was on the old mass add, I didn't necessarily need to get the source code myself for each of the pages, I could open the collection page and then use that link and just change the page number. But idk if that works still anymore.

[edit] - I happened to be on still so I just updated all the studded belts (icons and overlays). Just so nobody goes to do it and wastes their time haha.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's exactly what Osterizer was talking about - doing that lovely page by page thing no longer works because of Subeta security (or whatever you want to call it).

I agree that SubetaLodge doesn't want the responsibility of asking for users' login and password info for Subeta. Even as staff, typing that in gives me pause because even though I trust my fellow staff, I don't necessarily trust computers not to glitch at the worst time possible.

: Lypsyl's right. There used to be a time where you could just paste the URL of the page instead of the entire source. That doesn't work anymore. To see why, copy the URL of a collection page, and then log out. Paste the URL into your browser, and you'll see what happens when you try to view a collection while you're not logged in. (You get the page with the 'blue building woman' telling you to log in.)

I'm looking into the possibility of writing a browser plugin for Chrome or Firefox that would open up all the pages of a collection in multiple tabs and grab all the source codes at once. The user could then paste the whole shebang in at once. Since the plugin works in the browser of the logged-in user, it would have access to things we don't.

If you can make it work, make sure the user understands how resource intensive that can be for a huge collection. It wasn't long ago that I was using an older computer that would have crashed had I tried something like that.
