Can you please take a look at something when you have a chance? When using our profile widget and adding a premade profile the style tags used to be stripped off and the graphics would show. But now the style tags are still there (When adding it to the widget). The tags need to be there for individual profile use but need to be gone for widget use. if this is clear as mud feel free to yell at me!

ALSO some of the profiles (White Christmas is one) do not actually add to the rotation even though the message claims they are

also, also, the remove button for the news banner is not actually removing anything.

: Remove button -- gah. Whoever coded the remove button stored a list of every user who clicked it and every IP address where it was clicked in a text field with a fixed maximum length, which we outgrew. That's why the remove button wasn't working; there wasn't room in the text field to add any more names and IP addresses.

I've changed it so that IP addresses aren't being stored, just usernames -- that'll keep the field from filling up so quickly. (This means that you have to be logged in for the 'remove' button to stick.)

Eventually, I'll change it so that there's no fixed maximum length to the text field, but since this is a structural change to a live database, it requires rebooting the system, and I'd rather not do that during Luminaire if there's not an urgent reason for the downtime.

profile rotation: haven't gotten to that yet, but will look at it tonight.

I tried both premade and custom profiles, and both of them worked for me, so maybe the problem is browser-specific? Anyway, I put some some extra code in place to make sure that the widget wasn't exporting doubled style tags.

Which premade profiles aren't working for you? I'll keep looking.

I can't use internet time now to test all of them but the one I mentioned before does not add in either chrome or FF. And I have tried it on two different accounts https://www.subetalodge.org/graphics/name/Dreaming+of+a+White+Christmas

Okay, I understood there to be three issues on the table last night:

(1) The remove news button wasn't working. I've temporarily fixed that by storing usernames and not IP addresses and will come up with a complete fix after Luminaire's over. (A complete fix isn't hard, but will require a shutdown and reboot to implement.)

(2) Dreaming of a White Christmas (and any other profile whose name was more than 24 characters long) wouldn't add to the rotation. That's fixed.

(3) Style tags aren't getting handled correctly for some profile layouts. I wasn't able to reproduce that problem myself, so I'm still at a loss for what's going on there.

So all this time that profile, and probably others as well, were not loading. And we never knew it, no one ever complained about it. Which means no one uses them. Oh well.

Thanks for getting this stuff taken care of!

Well, the White Christmas profile is definitely seasonal, and last Christmas we were still at A Small Orange. This could have been a lingering glitch from the transition to PHP7 that just got tested for the first time. I don't think it's conclusive that no one uses them, but if you'd like, I can put a logger on the profile rotations to see how often they are used.

Also, MamaBear's comment on the SubetaLodge forums uncovered a piece of information that helps. If you put a space before the parentheses:

background-image: url (http://...) ^here, between 'url' and (

the CSS works on Firefox, but not Chrome, which is why I wasn't seeing some of the problems other people were seeing the other day. I've fixed the extra space in the fireplace CSS.

We got about 14 inches here. Fortunately we didn't lose power. How did you do?

So someone posted here about a couple CWs that had not been added.

I got the sweater to add even though I had to edit in the image info. The potamus fabric though...I get this:

: We got a little less snow than that. Still have power, but my heat pump froze up, so I've had to drag out a couple of space heaters for the bedroom and the bathroom until I can get someone to come out and look at the heat pump.

Proud Potamus Fabric was already in the database (same Subeta item number) under a different name which is why you couldn't add it. I don't know why the name changed so soon after the item was released; maybe the first one was an error? Anyway, it's now got the correct name in our database.

Yeah, I have the Proud in my checklist of owned cws already. It's possible she misspelled during submission (I always search for potomus instead of potamus) and that's why the name changed, but I copy/paste when searching to add mine to my checklists. So the name it was approved under initially is where it was.

Not sure on the sweater. I have noticed sometimes when adding that someone will have added one chunk of approvals and then another chunk of approvals, but missed a middle section (this was more common when Jessi was doing those big blocks of approvals a couple hours apart). It's possible it got lost then or got missed when she did a small chunk of approvals and someone thought she was done. I've added before only to have one more crop up hours later that has to get added.

Oh no, I know! I was letting you know I'd seen some get skipped for one reason or another and that I had no idea the Proud changed either because it had been correct at one point haha. Staff fixes stuff all the time and we don't ever know until someone points it out or we stumble on it ourselves (I've had to get stuff corrected before and fixed it on SL only because I knew because it was my ticket haha).

I have noticed things don't get skipped really anymore since made CWs easier to add my just needing the ID ranges because he is an amazing human who loves us haha.

It was super easy to miss something the old way (adding via wishlist). Especially back when there'd be like 60+ cws added at once. I'm very grateful we don't have to do the old methods anymore.

Hey guys, just a reminder that when adding official items we need to tag anything face I did the ones that were not done from the newest backwards. When I hit the morostide makeup cases they were done but if someone could take a look further back to see if any were missed I would really appreciate it.

-- speaking of clothing tags ...

At one time, we were talking about coming up with wardrobe tags for other layers, but decided to hold off because Ariel (?) was promising to re-sort the hat/head items.

That was six months ago now, and like other Subeta promises, who knows if it'll ever pan out.

I'd like to revive the talk of expanding item tags to other layers. Instead of creating more work for ourselves, what if we opened up the tagging function to other SubetaLodge members? We could let them tag items for us. (And if they live nearby and wanna clean my house, I'd let 'em do that, too...)
