- From what I've read, that seems to be the plan. 3 "head" layers, though not sure of the names - hats, accessories (clips, bows, and so on), and wigs/hair. I'm really surprised that they're not crowdsourcing too, though Ariel said that she's waiting on a tool to help her with it, so perhaps Bug is programming something special to help?

You know that help topic you responded to? About the weird linking to the price graph. That happened to me right after you added the graph. I never said anything about it because I wasn't sure what had happened and it never happened again. The glitch must have triggered from a very specific page/action because I honestly thought it was fixed. Now I'm sorry I never said anything, even if my info would have been vague.

ah...that's why. I do have a non-staff account, but I only use it for extra checklists, so I rarely browse from there.

Hopefully we'll get some concrete answers soon on what they're doing there. I don't want to start messing around with our layers only to have them change.

Here's what I can tell (I've noticed some items have moved and have gone ahead and moved them on Subeta):

If an item 'resembles' something that naturally grows from the head (hair, horns, antenna), then it stays in the head layer -- we've been told this will split later in to a head layer and a wig layer, but that hasn't started yet.

If an item 'resembles' a manufactured object that is worn on the head, it goes in the hat layer. That means hats, but also tiaras, helmets, diadems, etc. Bows are a common exception -- they stay in the head layer. All of the 2013 tiaras, for example, got moved from head to hat.

There are a few odd items that don't fit these rules (and I don't know that these are what Subeta is using -- it's just what I've observed).

That's more you've gleaned from keeping an eye on it than they've told us, which is pretty handy.

So, today, five books were added to the Crystal Shop. Some of them have been in the Crystal Shop before and some haven't.

For example, was an achievement prize for the Reading Contest (ages ago). It has "Does not restock" as the location and "0" as the price. For now, I've put the Crystal Shop information in the notes. But, should we update the restock location and price?

I think, just doing exactly what you did is fine. I don't know if it will ever show up in the crystal shop again, or its a one time thing to get a few more onsite. Its not like the crystal shop regularly restocks - they always announce it in the news.

Hoisted by my own petard! When I rewrote the mass-add script last year, I stored the restock locations alphabetically instead of in order of creation and forgot that I have to now add new restock locations in two places.

But another issue, don't know how solvable it is. I can't add from the new shops. When I try all I get is a note that nothing needed adding or changing. I've been doing it through my wishlist instead. Sigh.

[edit] Yup. That's what's going on. If you search the source code, the items aren't actually in the source code -- instead they call a script to display the items. I'll see what I can do.

The new items are all added, so there's no rush on figuring out the new shop pages. I suspect this is likely the problem with all the pages where we can't add new items, like the shop search page.
