This is totally weird and I don't know if its a minor issue (like the cache) or an indication of something bigger.

Subeta changed makeup sets to makeup kits. When I looked up "makeup set" I found a handful that needed fixing and did those. There's some CWs that haven't been fixed on subeta, so I left them alone.

But I keep getting "Leg Wound Makeup Kit" as a result when I search for "makeup set" I don't know why. I flushed my browser cache, and clicked the flush cache on subetaLodge. I'm still getting it. Also I did not fix the leg wound item, it showed up as kit from my first search.

Just to confirm, I also searched for "makeup kit" and found the leg wound on that list as well.

Whooooo, -- excellent catch. This was my fault, and I've fixed it.

Here's what was going on. Subeta keeps two copies of the item's name -- in a field called "name" and a field called "normalized". (Here's a screenshot from the database itself).

When the cron detected that an item's name had changed, the 'name' field was getting updated but not the 'normalized' field, and so the two names were out of synch. That's what happened with this item. One field said "Leg Wound Makeup Kit' and one said 'Leg Wound Makeup Set', and so the item was showing up under both search results.

I've fixed the cron so that it updates both fields and corrected the items where the two fields didn't match. (We really should get rid of the redundant name field completely.)

But yeah, that would have eventually built up to getting really messed up searches, especially with all the item corrections happening lately.

According to this post, Ariel has already started moving hats from the head layer to the hat layer, and then plans to create a wig layer for those items.

I haven't seen a post of hers yet letting us know what items have changed (did I miss one?), but we should keep an eye out for it. I've started the work on our end to make 'wig' a valid layer (so you'll see that as a search option already even though we don't have any wig layer items yet.)

- I don't know if she plans on making a post with all of the changes. If I was her, I certainly wouldn't... more work... That will certainly be on us to figure out.

I am stunned that they are making a wig layer though! :o That's one less thing that we'll need to tag, I suppose, moving forward.

Are they going to have three layers, like Hats/Wigs/Head? Or are they keeping two layers, Hats/Head, with "Head" being just wigs and "Hats" being everything else?

There's a lot of stuff in the "Hats" layer that I don't consider to be a hat.

They're all what I would consider to be "accessories", but definitely not "hats".

I'm hoping only actual hats go into the hats layer, wigs/hair into the wigs layer, and everything else into head layer. I'm kinda surprised they're not crowdsourcing help on it honestly.

Oh man, that is so old and so so so reminiscent of Neo hahahaha. No wonder they did away with it (I love it though).
