This is just another reason I haven't been on Subeta for days. In 9 years, I doubt there was a day I wasn't on here for at least a few hours and the majority of days, I spent at least 8 - 10 hours on here. I don't like a LOT of the changes that have been made over the last year or so, but adjusted my game around them, but at this point, with Restocking so screwed up, Subeta is just a dead horse as far as I'm concerned.

If restocks happen less often, rare items should be stocking less often. Assuming that they mainly come into circulation through restocking, this means that they should be gaining value through increased rarity. Which means that when you do manage to snag one of these items you should be able to sell it for more. This should be especially true for newly released items that haven't already suffered from over-supply. Furthermore, with the change that items that restock and don't ever got bought will be temporarily taken out of the system, this also means that low rarity items will maintain a bit better value as well. This seems like a good thing to me, especially for restockers...

I found this here in the P&B forum in a thread that actually isn't about restocking but someone posted about the restocking times:

Still holding out that its a glitch but since it's been days I doubt it.

Now just to be clear...I don't know if this is a bug or not. I have reported it basically to be looked into :)

Between the hour restock times and the fact that the Captcha is broken restocking isn't worth it at all. Which I guess is making [User=Keith]'s point for him, that no one restocks.

if it ain't broke, push improvements until it is.

I agree with the points and the goal that Keith is trying to achieve.. in theory.

However,

1. if X amount of people stop hanging out at subeta because of the heavily reduced RS-ing rates, is that worth it?
2. the majority of the RS-ers dont bulk buy and clean out the main shops. items will start to behave like Quentin items, especially those that are given out on a semi regular basis (fruits, slots, random items)

Look up "Carnivale" for example. All the regular RS-ers will make a profit only very briefly, then everyone will be stuck at the price point of the hoarder. With less restocks, non-hoarders wont be able to RS to keep up with demand and the hoarders will essentially have monopoly.

I get that they're trying to make the amount of worthless items decrease a bit... But I don't think I've been able to restock anything since this hourly restock thing happened, there are fewer items in the stores but all I ever see are worthless items. I'm so confused.

Exactly, it hasn't worked out the way they said at all. If a shop hasn't restocked in more than 20 minutes, then all that's left is crap that no one wants anymore or already has. In short, it's not working, and I'd like someone to respond to us about it today.

I hope this is just a bug/glitch. If they're really trying to fix the fact that there are hundreds of worthless low-rarity items floating around.... restocking is probably not the place to start, considering that most restockers are not the ones buying up those items.

Vending is the reason so many of these items are so cheap, so vending is what should be more limited. But there's a whole topic on that, so...

very well said. I agree with everyone. I too hope that this is changed back. My impression when I read through the original thread was the same as Murphs, that the new restocking changes were meant to decrease item quantity per restock, not decrease number of times a shop restocks.

I enjoy restocking and have had some great luck with it over the years. Waiting over an hour is just plain ridiculous.

Yes, things are looking much better. Hopefully the shops will keep restocking properly. Now to try and make up a little lost time. :)

Its causing stagnation, there are a lot of shops that really need new stock. Wearables are great, I'm a HA Maker first and foremost, but c'mon. Atebus Shop has so much potential, Magic Shops, Cavern of Curios. Space stuff, Magical things like "Mouse Scampers", "Sunbeams", Cavern of Curios could stand to have so much stuff from other cultures.

Some of these changes look like they're trying to kill Subeta sometimes.

I can tell that the RS times have gotten better, but they're still not good. Hopefully the kinks are being adjusted and things will get back to normal soon. I am grateful for what has been done though. :)

It is better, but I still don't think it is quite right. Last night I was rs-ing pretty steadily, and I got some nice rare and super rare items. What seems to be missing is the less rare items that resell around the 25-75k sp range. And, of course, those items are a restocker's bread and butter.

I am glad it is working better, I hope they continue to fine tune it.

I only see restocking times around ten minutes or more, that´s totally boring. I stopped to restock at all. I didn´t get any of the new bags and boots and yes, I could buy them yet I won´t because I like the excitement of catching them myself and sending them to friends who don´t have the time to stalk shops. Yesterday was so boring, I didn´t even take my laptop with me and in the evening, played other games I weren´t on a lot the last months. And I really love Subeta. However, between events, restocking does the trick for me and that´s broken now, alas.
