I guess I'm here like everyone else-hoping that restocking is broken. I love restocking, or I did until it got 'improved.' As things are now, restocking is utterly impossible. Grooming Parlor just took over 2 hours to restock. It is very disheartening.

This had better be a glitch! Aside from Keith's flimsy-reasoned vendetta against restocking, this is going to unbalance the economy very quickly if it's intentional. Classic Subeta: if it ain't broke, break it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here... I thought the new restocking changes were meant to decrease item quantity per restock, not decrease number of times a shop restocks period??

I mean this is certainly one way of decreasing item quantity... if you want to alienate restockers. No one should have to wait one or more hours for any shop to restock (well except subQ because that one even goes for two hours without restocking, what gives, Esme?). It's infuriating. It will drive people to stop restocking.

Instead, decrease item quantity per restock like it was meant to be? Apple Pie does not need to restock x8 every restock. So I see the changes haven't really been implemented well?

Glad to see I'm not the only one upset by the restock times. I too came here from Neopets years ago. Over there restocking was how I made money and the same goes here. Like other mentioned just because two sites have some of the same ideas doesn't mean it is a bad thing. I left Neo and never looked back because Subeta was a much better experience. I still love it here but if the restocking keeps on this path of doom then I will no longer be here either. Heck I may have to go back to Farmville gasp

The changes of retirements, market flooding, etc are fairly simple. Would we like new items? Yes. What do we want the most? Restocking stability!!!!

I USED to play Dirty Matty Drinking Game every day, but now, since I have to wait an hour between restocks (or more) I can't buy the drinks, I have given up. Sure hope someone realizes that this isn't working and changes it soon.

Bit sad that no staff has commented on this or the site update thread in the last day. I was really hoping for an explanation sometime soon. That being said, this is continuing on and it's starting to make the economy basically throw up on itself. I have barely profited the last few days on items that I restock and I nabbed a total of ONE good item from shops. Very disappointing and it feels like Defend and Conquer and Weapons Warehouse have not stocked any other items whatsoever in them. I saw the same exact items in there this morning that I was seeing last night. What kind of NPC shop fix is this? It's just making it worse. Funny how they mention not wanting to be like Neo but there are other sites besides Neo out there that do restocking too and I don't see them trying to change it.

As an old Top 10 restocker I would be so annoyed by the changes if I had still time to restock so yeah, I found one reason why I like that I have barely enough time for anything on here. XD

Nevertheless I hope that things are going to be changed back to normal.

WOW.... I spend most of my spare time away from the real world on Subeta stocking my shop. I am not able to do that now. Shops are taking 40+ minutes and over 2 hours to stock. I feel like every single shop is Subeautique with the constant refreshing. Then, if I do happen to catch a stock, there is nothing valuable there. I have not been able to find ONE Single Item in days :( Im extremely upset and this was the number one reason I left neopets. Ive spent a lot of real money in a very short time (enough to buy a car) and I cannot believe that now I am thinking about not even playing on here anymore. Im extremely upset. Its bad enough trying to stalk the subeautique, but all the other shops as well? I love this website but I will leave if I cant even stock my shop or find items for my galleries. Sorry but this is my opinion.

Exactly. It gives the impression that this is a deliberate ploy to kill restocking. If so, where are we supposed to get higher rarity items from? The vending machines don't give many out and most of the quests don't either.

I'm sure everyone already knows how I feel about restocking, but it's incredibly refreshing to see so many other people who say they restock for fun as well. I got the feeling I was one of the lone "yay restocking" individuals. The restocking scenario is the number one main reason I've consistently stuck around Subeta for three years - the ability to shop and at least make a little profit out of what I find is incredibly satisfying.

It's interesting, now that it's essentially impossible to restock anything fun or interesting or worthwhile, to realize how much time I spent clicking around Subeta and shopping here and there at a variety of stores every single day. Now? I'm already trying to decide which other sites would provide a restocking fix.

I really hope this is a glitch and is fixed because having the shops restock like SubQ is a bad decision for reasons everyone has already stated.

I really hope the staff isn't taking the approach of ignoring it till it dies and then claiming it can't be saved.

There is something very telling by the fact that there are at least three topics on the front page of the forums full of complaints about this problem.

Why is staff so adamant on killing restocking, which is a SP sink and actually require extended daily site participation?

You actually have to make an effort to remember what is worthwhile and what is not, you have to be active on site for more than 10 minutes a day if you want to get a profit.

Unfortunately, I don't see this being fixed :( Staff has made it clear they don't really even want restocking as a site feature. Might be just a way of killing it slowly.

Another thing is buying items to give the Recycle Beast. I hoard cheaper items for the beast and fragging. Then I buy items at least twice from the NPC shops. Once the first set of items needed are stocked and bought there is no chance of getting more. So if you're not on at midnight good luck getting many points.

Restocking is a vital part of the game. Items are needed for quests, the beast, fragging, wasteland minion feeds, and more. Surely we can't be expected to get all the items needed around the site from vending alone. I only vend about 150 times a day to work on the achievement. The items are basically worthless unless it is a plushie I don't have or a food not eaten.

I used to be able to restock in almost any store and make 2-3 million a day. Normally I have 8 or so shops open at a time.This included shops like coffee, carnival, etc. I can't remember the last time some of the shops were even worth loading. If we can't make sp there isn't a point to playing. We need reliable income to buy what interests us and things like ga medals and csc.

Restocking isn't the problem imo. The problem is the glut of vended & mystery items that drive down prices below those of NPC shops.

It's also convenient that hasn't been on Subeta for nearly two days.

That's not even true. Earlier this year, haggling was removed and replaced with a buff. So, the shops haven't changed since January or February, that's all.

I feel that a staff member will definitely jump in at some point and say "calm down, we are following this thread" or "dont worry, we are making notes", which doesn't always go over well because it's their word vs our perception.

or give some statistic, "the RS change has actually removed 17235 items from the system!" that

1. may or may not even be relevant (correlation != causation)
2. may be biased, aka finding specific results to match the initial goals
3. may be preemptive (this applies on our end too)

i feel that there are so many suggestion threads, feedback threads. Sure, some ideas are shit, but many others are good. but why not discuss or consider some of them (other than just posting "we are considering X" which usually means no thanks)
