Am I allowed to add you on Origin? My un is Tijgertoes. I wish the games were all on Steam because I prefer it over Origin but oh well u_u

You're back! I feel the same about computer gaming, I feel like it's more enjoyable. Especially since there are so many keys and you can map them yourself, as opposed to having a very limited number of buttons and using weird combinations of them to do things. I can't imagine playing Mass Effect with a controller, I feel like a mouse would be comfortably precise. I'm at the beginning of Mass Effect 2 but had to stop because I was out of the country for a month and didn't want to spend time playing it when I could be doing other things.

Yes, welcome to the thread c: I'm happy to see someone else that likes Bioshock! <3 Who was in your party in DAI usually? I went for Varric, Cassandra, and Dorian almost the entire game oh man

hi, thanks! yesssssss i love bioshock so much ❤️ first one is my favourite. have you played all three? i swore my loyalty to cassie in the beginning but then the iron bull came along and yeah,, so him and dorian and either cole or sera. solas before dorian happened. i don't think i ever even used varric except for the red lyrium missions. what was your inquisitor like? (sweet ass username btw alistair is a babe)

I've actually only played the first and third Bioshock games - for some reason I've skipped the second. It's on my wishlist in hopes that I'll get around to it, but atm there are other games I'd rather play. I wasn't fond of Solas so I was thankful Dorian came around so I could dump him at Haven/Skyhold without hesitation xD I was partial to Varric since I cared so much about him in DA2, and his party banter with Dorian wasn't something I could pass up.

My inquisitor (my main one, anyway, since there are a few) was a female Dalish rogue assassin, partial to bows. Romanced Cullen, which wasn't my intention initially, but that's how it always goes with me and romance in these games. Ahh Alistair <3 Seeing him as a warden in DAI again made me so happy :')

ahh really? the third one is okay but i by far prefer the second one. you get to play as a big daddy and there's a shotbow weapon that allows you to pick up the fired arrows. i don't get why everyone loves solas so much like he is literally an egg? aw, i missed all of that ): the iron bull's dialogue is golden though.

ha, fair enough. my grey warden was dalish ❤️ i never saw him, i don't think :c completely missed that part.

I wasn't a fan of the dlc for the third one but I enjoyed the base game itself. One day I'll return to Rapture, it's such a wonderful place and I love the concept for the series on the whole. ngl I spent like all of the first game using the telekinesis plasmid and just...used dead bodies as shields and launched them. All games need that option. All i want to do is fire ragdoll'd bodies at enemies, is that so much to ask

People like pain and I guess Solas provides that - but I don't want to sign up for a romance in which I get bROKEN UP WITH. My warden was Dalish as well! I love the lore for the elves in this universe~ Did you use the Dragon Age Keep to include any of your past game choices, or did you use the default world state? Because by default Alistair is King, and I think you only see him if you side with the mages? I've never sided with the templars so I guess he doesn't make an appearance as king then. I had him stay as a Grey Warden so he showed up in Here Lies the Abyss and was Hawke's warden friend

Female Dalish duel-wielding rogue with the tempest specialty, named her Calliope. Ended up romancing Cullen because I couldn't help myself. sided with the mages, and Stroud was the Warden ally, whom I sacrificed because I couldn't hurt Varrick. I also had Gaspard executed, and Briala and Celene rule together. I've just started my second playthrough, another female Dalish, this time a mage named Belle. Gonna have her romance Solas, then dump him first and go after Bull. Dunno what specialty I'll give her. I'm also tempted to side with the Templars, simply because I want to experience the other side of things, but as a mage I'd feel like a traitor.

of course you can add me!

rapture is amazing. i like the concept and art of the third one but i'm kind of afraid of heights (even in videogames) so yeah. that, and it seems weird that in a story about fighting racism the two protagonists are white. also i've read that the leader of the rebellion randomly kills a child at some point?

have you finished inquisition? did you see the ending with solas... no dragon age keep, i couldn't even manage to create an origins account (which is apparently what they call the accounts in inquisition you need to do anything on the internet?).

dalish elves are so badass. i miss my grey warden ;w; he was such a cute. bahaha poor solas. but yeah, not a tough choice when the iron bull is there :> what other games do you play?

The story isn't really about fighting racism but-- Oh, wait, you haven't actually beaten the game have you? I don't want to spoil it, but anyway, there's racism everywhere. The antagonist is a giant religious racist and it's 1912 so that's a thing. Also the leader of the rebellion threatens to kill a child and it's so ooc to me but the dlc tried to explain that she did it intentionally so certain events would happen. She never intends to kill the kid, it's an act and ugh I hate it

I've finished Inquisition, yes! I really like Flemeth so I'm concerned ;; Ohhh yeah, that's awful ;; I hate the default world state, mostly because I made all these choices in DAO and DA2 but also because I don't want Alistair to be king. Did you play DAI on a console? I was going to ask for a picture of your Inquisitor but if it's on a console, it'd be harder to get a picture ;_; I actually bought a new computer last week so I could replay the games with better graphical settings :')

i love elves so much, ugh, such a weakness for them other games? well, golly there are a lot. one of my favorites is Transistor, by the makers of Bastion, super neato game that made me cry at the end, one of the most awesome soundtracks too. played bits and bobs of stuff like assassin's creed and gta v. watched my bf play through bioshock infinite. watched playthroughs of alien: isolation, the last of us, basically whatever the yogscast are doing lets plays of. play a few MP games like don't starve, age of empires, left 4 dead. gonna start up mass effect soon because i keep hearing good stuff about it. i dunno really what else to say.

i wouldn't know tbh i read a whole article about it and it just seemed iffy. nope, didn't finish it, i'm at the part where you have to get the electricity vigor.

i like how the morrigan / flemeth drama was hella intense in origins because like?? she was gonna kill morrigan?? whoa. and then in inquisition she's just like 'nah jk'. how come you didn't want alistair to be king? i felt kinda bad myself but i'm a loser and googled what to do for every big choice in DA and most of them were all for making him king so i did c': yep, PS3! .. but i'm a loser and took cell phone pictures of my children anyway. here's my qunari inquisitor who was meant to be a clumsy goofball but turned into a sassy piece of shit and here's my dalish elf grey warden who is just a grumpy bundle of light whom i love very very dearly tbh your inquisitor is so pretty ;____;

same ahaha if there's an option to be an elf in a videogame i'll always pick the elf. except for skyrim because they're just so ugly oh wow i googled transistor and it looks really pretty ___ did you like alien isolation? i have it at home but i haven't gotten to playing it yet. yessssssss mass effect ❤️ it's kinda just dragon age in space.

Transistor! Such a good game, honestly. As soon as I beat it, I rushed to Supergiant's online store and had to buy the soundtrack (along with other goodies, because I knew I needed a poster on my wall to remind me how beautiful the art is). I've owned Bastion for quite some time but I have a bad habit of buying games and then letting them sit on my computer forever because I am too lazy to download them once purchased. I finally downloaded it and I hope I love it even half as much as Transistor <3

idk him being king doesn't sit right with me? I really don't think someone who knows nothing about politics should be ruling an entire country. I didn't have him 'hardened' so he never even wanted to be king in my game and I felt incredibly bad for him because no one ever listened to him, no one let him do what he wanted to do. I understand that sometimes that rarely 'one's life is entirely their own' (as said by Josephine) but he seemed so happy to be a warden. I never felt like Alistair could make the really tough choices and as a king you have to be prepared for that. He knows he's a follower, not a leader, and that's okay. I always thought that ruling a large body of people meant you should have some kind of formal training and you prepare for years but he's suddenly thrust into the position. This is all my opinion and stuff, I know other people like him as king, but I'm personally not a huge fan of the idea. It makes it easier if he's king though, because then you don't have to choose between Hawke and Alistair :'D "sassy piece of shit" oh my god perfect

haha wow you've really thought about this. that's some solid reasoning right there, colour me impressed! i'm the asshole gamer who doesn't really think things through and only looks at whether or not things'll work out for my playthrough, heh. it's so true though! he sounded posh and sassy af.

transistor is super pretty and a nice little story. it doesn't hand feed you everything from the start, you have to figure it out for yourself and i love stories like that. yeah i liked isolation, very intense. of course i wasn't playing it, and i might never play it because it would probably kill me with how tense it is.

ugh yes i know! my bf bought transistor with the soundtrack for me as an early christmas gift and i played it over the christmas break and finished it in january. i love red and boxer so much. the combat system was really cool too. i'm not ashamed to admit that my tumblr is totally transistor themed.

I'm actually torn between aspects of each game. XD Inquisition is my favorite in terms of how attached I am to my character(s) and fighting. Dragon Age 2 is probably my favorite party dynamic (being the leader of a massive organization is great, and so is Grey Wardening, but I actually really liked playing as the leader of a band of misfits). And Dragon Age Origins probably made me feel the most connected to my party members (I mean the whole clicking on them and chatting bit, that was nice... Even though I did click on them when I didn't mean to). XD Not that Inquisition didn't make me feel attached to the characters. It's a close second there. <3

I am! Sorry for poofing with no explanation! XD I really is. I just feel more... Stable I guess is the word I'm looking for. I get less frustrated and flustered by computer controls, which makes it 1000 times easier for me. XD Yes! Mapping controls is awesome. <3 I'd be so lost playing ME with a controller. o.o I can imagine fussing at me about it and trying to explain that I'm making it too complicated. XD Oh, awesome! I hope you had a great trip! <3 I've been helping Dain/his parents move from their current house (about 20 minutes away from mine) into their new house (about an hour away from mine). Sad that they're moving and that I'll see him less this summer, but I'm happy he's not moving too far and that I'll get hm back once college starts back up. XD

Ugh. Got my cord. Guess what? Monitor hates my computer. They're not compatible. rolls eyes I guess I'll be going to Habitat for Humanity for a new monitor again. On the plus side, The templar armor that I ordered from AeriaLure is almost complete. <3 I'll share it with you guys as soon as I get the overlays and get it submitted.

You should totally give the Templars a go. <3 They're so worth it, I promise. <3 Ser Barris is amazing!

too bad they don't have it for PS3. i don't think my laptop could handle a game like that :c it sounds really interesting though. did you need a walkthrough? one of my friends plays isolation and she said it's super scary so i'm kind of hesitant? i'm such a wuss haha

you get to be a misfit in DA2? :> awesome. i'm so sad they removed the option to talk to your party members wherever you'd like. it was really nice.

nah no walkthroughs, it's pretty streamline. and i think your laptop would handle transistor just fine, it's not a large game and it's not taxing on your system. yeah isolation is scary, it's a lot of stealthing b/c the xenomorph is fast as fuck and you gotta hide from it as you go about your business and there's not a lot of safe spaces. any noise will make it come running your way. tis why i watched a playthrough instead of playing it myself.

i went to buy it but, as mentioned above, got distracted and bought DA2 heh oops. is there a lot of options for conversations with party members in transistor? wtf that doesn't sound fun at all it sounds like torture

err, no, because it's literally you and your talking sword. it's not an rpg like dragon age is. it's just a small indie game, but the story and world are cool, and the combat system is interesting.
