Travel? Sounds like fun! One of the things I love to do while traveling is exploring. I love going to old castles and ruins. So here's a shot of someone exploring a little off the beaten path.

I know I said I'd take part in the latest wardrobe game but I found out earlier that my Uncle died last night so I'm leaving my HA in black for a few days in respect for him. I don't wanna seem like a downer but I felt I should explain why my HA isn't taking part.

Friday was my last day. I closed up my daycare. Have been working hard to get all my stuff packed up and all. I did read all the posts on this thread though. Amazingly enough. This wardrobe game sounds interesting. :) Also, you don't like mangos ? I'm startled and horrified. ;) My favorite fruit. hehe My uncle hates bananas with a passion. So does his mother. It's so interesting how people's taste buds work.
I hope everyone is doing well. I'm jobless for the time being so you may see a bit more of me on here. :)

My condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. If you need a shoulder or an ear, I'm here for you. It's never easy, but just know that we're all friends here and we're here for you :) I don't blame you for leaving your HA as is. I think it's something we would all do as well.

Ah yes :) It must be getting to be late summer for you though, am I too far off from assuming that? It's almost spring here and I know how opposite we can be. I always thought it was awesome to learn about that in school. As for the Mango bit, not everyone is into them. I'm not huge into Papaya but I know others who are. I've had to cut quite a few open and that initial smell is quite a shocker. =O I'm also in love with Persimmons but they can be hard to find here in the South. The one fruit I'd like to try someday would be the Starfruit (I think that's what they are called, they look like tiny stars).

Once again, congratulations on the big change. I'm sorry to hear you had to close it though, it sounds like it was a difficult decision. Are you moving out of state too? Moving is never easy :( I do hope you'll join us in the wardrobe game :) I love seeing how everyone works with their wardrobe :)

I love your new HA :) Same here! I love to travel, explore new places and just soak up new things/learning experiences. I think you and I would have a bast if we were near each other :) Although we don't technically have authentic castles here in North America, we do have some amazing buildings and other things to explore too :D I can't wait for the day where I can see a lot of the ones on my list :D

Hey everyone! How are you doing? c: I finished the contest's story! I can't believe it XD Here it is!

Background Story Her name was Aileen McGee. She was born in a humble and cozy Irish farm around the year 1107 A.C. There she lived with her mother, her father, and five younger siblings (three brothers and two sisters). At the age of twenty-two, Aileen started working with her father, who was a woodcutter, in a nearby forest. It was in that forest where she found it. Precious. Pure. Magical. And since that moment, Aileen knew her fate was going to be different. That that was just the beginning.

The Story One day, while collecting some wood trunks for her father, Aileen noticed a strange light coming from the ground. It seemed weak at first, but when she removed the dirt that covered it, a strong and incandescent gleam blinded Aileen for a moment. There it was. Precious. Pure. Magical. A gem. A green gem. Aileen was astonished and hypnotized by it’s beauty. She couldn’t resist and took the gem. But when she did, the magical jewel started glowing even more and more, and finally dispelled on her hand. She didn’t understand what had happened. She felt strange and confused. Anyhow, Aileen ignored it and continued with her job. The night was approaching. Aileen and her father were on their way home when she heard a tiny voice coming from behind. - Wait! Please, no. Don’t leave! - said the tiny voice. Aileen turned around, but no one was there. - The gem! The green gem! - shouted the tiny voice. Aileen’s face paled. - Go ahead, dad. I’ll catch you up in some minutes! - she said. - No problem, dear! - replied her dad. She turned around once again and asked with fear: - Who are you? Where are you hiding? What do you want? - Down here! - said the tiny voice. There it was. A little and fluffy red squirrel. - Aaaah! how are you doing that?! Animals can’t talk! - shouted Aileen. - Well, we actually can, but humans can’t hear us. - But but… why can I then? - The green gem gave you the power to do so. The green gem chose you. You are our savior! - exclaimed the red squirrel with enthusiasm. - What? How? Me? There must be a mistake. - No, I saw it. The green gem chose you. You are the one. Come, follow me. I’ll tell you on the way. - said the squirrel, smiling to Aileen. Aileen turned around once again and saw her father going home. She didn’t want to leave her family behind; but she knew on her inside that that was her fate. That she was The Savior.

This is not the end of the story; no. This is just the beginning.

If your current HA is anything to go by, looks like you got some wonderful bargains in the CW Pawn Shop.

I'm looking forward to dancing with everyone! It's always fun to see the new outfits and the new items. I'm hoping to catch up on the items in the shop this year. I ended up collecting all of the Corset Top Hats but they came in at 100 tokens each! Since they are now out of the way, I should be able to get the rest of the items now. Though I'm sure the new stuff will stop that.

After cold, rain, thunderstorms and snow and ice, things are at last starting to warm up. I'm always happy when the weather gets better. I don't mind my hay fever too much since I can stop worrying about the weather so much. Now we've got lots of rain to look forward to since that's how Spring here tends to run. How are things where you are? Any better?

Thank you. ^_^ Your HA looks like she's off across America for whatever adventure she can find. A very nice piece of work. If we lived close to each other I think we'd be out almost every day. I love looking for cafes and trying new places so I'd probably drag you along for that. The UK has a huge number of ruins so there's all kind of places to look around and explore but I would like to see some of the sights the US has to offer. Though some of that would have to be shopping. I am something of a shop-a-holic. I'm trying to go shopping in all of the major places known for it. I've done London and Paris and I hope to do Tokoyo some time soon. Appart from New York where else is known for its shop range?

I'm sorry about the daycare, I hope you're doing well right now. I like mangos too, especailly with cream or milk. They go best with coconut milk I find.

Yes! I don't even know if I got all of those. I'm so behind. I think I didn't get to dance very much for a couple of reasons last year and then I bought allll the books I could. I was worried they'd retire and I need them for my collection and my pet! :) Hopefully we get everything we want this year! I can't wait to see the new things. :)

Also! Your comment to reminded me of this dish I had at a Thai restaurant. It was rice and coconut milk with sweet mango. Simple but one of the best desserts. I've made it at home too. So yummy.

I felt nervous about closing up the daycare up until the day of. Then I felt relieved and excited. I've put in my three years and feel like maybe I've earned a break. I haven't taken much time off for the past 3 years. I am really looking forward to sneaking away to visit this year. Also go home and see my mama and the rest of my family.

I hope so too. I'm aiming to get all the items still on my list and hopefully clear my WL of all the shop items. That does sound like a wonderful dessert. I think they might have used dessert rice for that. I think it's a little plumper than savory rice. I love putting mango in tropical fruit salads. I will very rarely add some cream to that if I feel I've earned it. ^_- Is that your Travel HA? It's very cute. Looks like she's visiting somewhere in France.
