I looked at Odin and smiled. "You're a clever wolf, you and Eddo solve this puzzle. I think I am taking this round off.

My poor pet needed some sleep and maybe a nice bone to crunch on. After I solve this puzzle with Eddo, I'll go bring her a dead animal. She is always grateful for those.
Come then Edoo, let us look at this puzzle.
Howl smiled, though it was a little strained. More puzzles? Well at least he didn't have to count sheep. He examined the objects, and before too long was able to give the druid his answer.

Irith was almost glad to hear the challenge from Tlachtga, because a puzzle didn't sound to hard. It was way easier than fighting, bringing loved ones back together and all of the other challenges she had been given for Bifrost pieces before. She looked at all the items, row by row, from some she could easily tell the similarities, but there were others that were harder than she had imagined them to be. Eventually though she could give her answers to Tlachtga, hoping she had all identified right.

Having previously solved a similar puzzle in the early days of this quest, Alanna thought that this would be easy. But upon looking at the first set of items, she was stumped. "Oh dear..." Maybe her brain was fried from coming up with all sorts of ideas and solutions. But she wasn't about to give up now! Moving on down the list, Alanna was relieved to know that her brain wasn't totally exhausted yet. "Mal... I need a second pair of eyes on this. Maybe you can see what I cannot."
"Uh... I don't know, Alanna. I'm kind of still seeing sheep and hearing those damn ravens in my ear." Mal took one look at the first set of items and scratched her head. "Nope. I don't see it." Alanna gave her a look. "Did you even think about that?" Mal glanced at the list again and pointed at a set of items lower down the list. "I can see some similarities for this one. This one. And this one." Alanna patted Mal on the shoulder. "Now that's a start."
Talwyn tapped her fingers together in excitement. Since she now had Ratatoskr’s puzzle experience under her belt, she felt she could tackle Tlachtga’s puzzle. “Hmmm… now let’s see…†The pixie muttered to herself as she examined the item sets. The answers to five sets came easily to her, but she was absolutely and positively stumped on the last one. Talwyn needed help. “Gilbert, what do you think the similarities are in the first set of items?†The frog looked at the items this way and that, but seemed to be equally stumped. “It’s not coming to me right now.†‘If even Gilbert can’t figure it out, then how am I to figure it out?’ And in that moment, the answer dropped right into her thoughts like a meteor dropping out of the sky.
Chapter 14 – Garmr

You manage to solve the puzzle so druid Tlachtga told you that Garmr is the one you need to visit next to complete your quest for the splints of Bifröst. You never heard of a Garmr before, so you ask your travel companion about it. “Oh, Garmr?†DÃse echoes. “He’s a blood-stained watchdog that guards Hel's gate beneath one of three roots of Yggdrasil.†You wonder why Ratatoskr forgot to mention that contingency, but maybe the squirrel doesn’t know yet. Anyway… DÃse accompanies you back to the world tree, where you stop in safe distance at the gate to underworld. The words blood-stained as well as watchdog don’t sound very easing. “I couldn’t see anything.†You whisper keyed up. “That’s because Garmr don’t want us to see him yet.†The woman by your side whispers back. “He has that ability, you know. He only shows himself when he is needed. When somebody tries to enter or left Hel's realm.†“But we want to enter, don’t we? How are we supposed to get in there when Garmr is around?†You ask with growing concern. “That’s exactly the point, ganauta: We aren’t. I will distract the dog by pretending to enter the gate, so he will need to materialize. And then you will come from behind and grab his part of the rainbow bridge.†“But won’t he see me?†You protest cautiously. “No, because you will use this.†She hands you a smoldering liquid, which you recognize as a standard vanishing cream. “Garmr has perfect eyes, but bad sense of smell.†What a strange watchdog that might be, you think. Hopefully DÃse knows what she’s talking about. You reach for the elixir. “Let’s do it.â€

Amarantha smiled. A little vanishing cream and a spell to draw some friendly insects nearby to serve a a distraction: that's all it would take.

The sky and surrounding area has darkened considerably as they made their way towards Hel's gate. Elethia fidgets with nervousness, but bravely ventures on. Once there Dise explains what needs to be done. Against her better judgement, but with no other choice, Elethia applies the strange smelling substance. She starts to feel tingly and then hears Mr. Scoots gasp as she slowly disappears before their eyes. "Alright here goes nothing!" Elethia whispers out "Hopefully I won't sneeze!" Outfit Not FoundVanishing cream. He had recognized the smell indeed, but he had never used it on himself.
The process was messier than anticipated (his bird had managed to roll itself in some as well), but Cuinn had somehow managed to cover himself in it. He hoped this would be enough for the dog, given DÃse's distraction as well.

Irith walked over towards Hel's gate with Dise. After hearing the stories Dise had told her about Garmr, she didn't know what she could expect when he would make his appearance, this made her scared and nervous for the challenge that was ahead, but she also knew that she needed the Bifrost piece to continue. After Dise had explained to her what she had to do and she was given the vanishing cream, Irith wasn't sure if she should really use the cream. She had heard stories about the cream, people that returned without some of their limbs. With one of her fingers she grabbed a small bit of the cream and she noticed that her finger instantly dissapeared. "Wish me luck" Irith said to Zarith, grabbing more of the cream to make sure she would vanish completely.
I sighed wearily. How many more of these shards are there left? I wanted to go back to the Giant's party and have more beer. But that was not meant to be, apparently. Placating Odin wasn't exactly easy either. I beckoned my wolf to follow me. We moved a bit away from Hlin and Eddo, out of their hearing range.
"Odin," I said patting his head, "I am so weary. I just want to lay on the ground and sleep for days. But we can't let Hlin and Eddo down, can we? She's the only thing close to family I have other than you, my brave wolf." I was close to tears. I didn't want to cry, but everything I had told him was true. I was exhausted and desperately wanted to do something more fun. But I couldn't, I wouldn't abandon Hlin.

With Odin on board and feeling a bit calmer, I took the potion quietly. My body started to fade away with a rush of what looked like fire. But Hlin seemed to freak out a bit because my silhouette still showed. Outfit Not Found
Maybe the vanishing potion didn't work quite as well on druids? Then slowly, I was gone. Outfit Not Found I wonder if I could get more of this stuff? It would prove useful in stealing from rich people. Hmm... I'd have to find away to ask Dise for some that wouldn't come across as self-serving--later, I'd worry about it later.
Howl grimaced at the scent, but he applied the cream anyhow, figuring that it would be foolish to refuse DÃse's help. The stuff felt cold and slippery and icky, rather like touching a fish. Calcifer could not be vanished in this fashion, so Howl sent him with DÃse to draw the watchdog's attention. And knowing that some forms of invisibility leave faint visual anomalies, especially when the invisible thing moves, Howl cast a simple illusion of a bunch of fireflies, to mask any traces Garmr might otherwise notice.

Alanna sniffed at the vanishing cream, her nose wrinkling at the unpleasant odour. "I hope this really works. I don't fancy becoming that dog's dinner." She dipped her finger in the cream and began to lightly apply it on her left hand. Her skin began to tingle and in the time it took to blink, her hand had disappeared.
"Strange..." She could feel her hand if she touched it, but otherwise it was completely invisible. Knowing that the cream actually worked, Alanna began to apply it to her person in earnest. The faster they got this done, the faster they would retrieve that piece of the rainbow bridge.

"At least we don't have to drink it this time, " Mal said. She also began to rub the cream on her body. She smirked when she had to go underneath her clothes.
"I promise I'm not being inappropriate," she chuckled.
When she couldn't see herself or Alanna anymore she carefully went towards the opening that led to the gate. She saw a lot of smoke, skulls were everywhere, and farther down the path she saw an ominous red-orange glow and the distinct shape of a gate. Garmr would be lurking near it, probably in the shadows. She really hoped this worked.

Cronus didnt want to fight, he wasn't as skilled with fighting as he was with strategics. This was the best way to go about this situation too. So he applied the cream all over his body. He caught a strange look from Ambrose and suddenly wondered if his dragon could still see him. Dragons can see right through some magic spells, or so he'd been told.
Yes master, I can still see you, but Garmr cannot. Cronus was still getting used to having Ambrose's voice in his head. He'd heard it back when he was fighting, or rather, standing there helpless in front of the banshee who used the guise of his mother. Sometimes Ambrose's voice cut out with some words, but it was a great accomplishment to have a dragon read your thoughts and speak in your mind so it was good enough for Cronus (if a bit unsettling too).
After Dise confirmed that she could no longer see him, Cronus nodded that he was ready. But Dise didn't do anything, she just stood there waiting for Cronus to say something. He'd forgotten already that he was invisible.
"I'm ready then. Let's get this over with..." He didnt sound too confident, but he had no time to get his nerve up because Dise and Ambrose started to run towards the beast. Swallowing hard, he waited for the right moment to pass the creature.

“A guardian of Hel, huh…†Talwyn commented, trying to stifle her nerves. Next to her, Gilbert gulped. “Hey, Gilbert.†“H-Huh?†The frog startled. Talwyn opened her bag. “Hop in.†Without hesitation, the frightened frog lept into the pixie’s bag. “You sure you’ve got this?†She turned her attention to DÃse. “Yes. I’ll distract Garmr while you two grab his Bifröst piece.†DÃse responded, tossing Talwyn the invisibility elixir. “Here, use this.†“What’s this?†Talwyn turned the vial over in her hands. “An invisibility elixir. Garmr may have a good sense of sight, but he doesn’t have a good sense of smell, so you’ll be able to sneak around him.†Talwyn cracked her knuckles and popped the vial open. “Ok. Let’s do this!†She exclaimed, downing the elixir in one go. Then, just as an extra precaution, Talwyn cast an illusion spell to warp the air around DÃse into the form of a frightening monster. The pixie figured it wouldn’t hurt to give her some extra help.
Chapter 15 – Jili Ffrwtan

Garmr wasn’t very enthusiastic about your thievery and he hunts you up and down Yggdrasils roots until a high and not entirely human whistle seems to call him back. You run onwards, DÃse close on your heels, when you come up to a beautiful landscape with green hills. “Midgardâ€, your leader says with an unburdened voice. “May be Wales.†You take your time to take a deep breath. Before you could ask where to head next, you hear civil disturbance interspersed with the sound of a hammer thumping on wood. Curious you follow the noise and hit something like a court, with a bunch of onlookers and a girl with blue looming wings in front of a harsh looking man --- obviously the one swinging the hammer. “What do you know about pixies?†You hear DÃse asking. “They are described as ethereal creatures.†You bear in mind. “They make fairy rings and live underground. They bestow riches on those they favour but these gefti --- gifts vanish if they are spoken of. Their females are proud, but quickly in love with humans. Well, you could say they’re neither good nor evil. Benevolent little troublemakers. Why? Oh.†The court turns silent. “Jili Ffrwtan, you are charged with coveting a golden-haired human child whom you kidnap, leaving a changeling in his place.†The man eyes the girl named Jili, whose expression isn’t guilty at all. “Do you have somebody who can put in a good word for you?†Suddenly the pixies’ eyes find and fix you in the midst of the croud. “This will be my lawyer.†Wait… what?! You try to remonstrate, but then you spot the rainbow colored slice in Jilis hand. No way. DÃse nods meaningful so you swallow your misgivings and step up. “I'm in.â€

Irith sat down on the ground, thinking about all the testimonies she had heard and all the information she had gathered about the said crime. She believed it to be a very strange story herself, after all the child looked exactly the same, so who knew if the child really had been replaced. The only thing that was different with the child was that it was crying less than it did before, you would think the mother would be happy about that, but no, she keeps telling everyone that the child isn’t Ellis. To get the Bifröst piece she had to prove Jili couldn’t have switched the child and she had to believe for at least a little while that the child really got replaced. After gathering all the information, it didn’t seem that hard to prove Jili had done nothing wrong.
Irith stood up, looking at all the people in the court. “Alright, I’m ready to give you my opinions about the committed crime†she said.

The court, and most other things of any hint of formality, were things he was unaccustomed to. Giving his almost harsh-like tone of responses to the accusations, he had to remind himself several times to hold himself back. Besides, it wasn't himself that was being accused. He could, at the least, sympathize with Jili on matters like these.
"It looks like a poor attempt of someone trying to frame Jili, or everyone just jumping to conclusions if you ask me." Cuinn started.

Howl blinked. This was a change of pace for sure. He'd had a friend back in university who was studying law, so he dug through his memories to figure out how he could help the accused pixie as he went to examine the evidence and ask a few questions.

Elethia begins to splutter when the whole court, including the judge and the pixie being prosecuted, turn to look at her expectantly. "Now hold on one minute! I can fight all manner of monsters and maybe even solve relationship problems, but this is definitely out of my expertise!" she whines fitfully. Before she can go into a full blown rant, Mr. Scoots calmly strolls over and swats her ankle with his paw. "Ouch! Alright I know I'm stuck doing this, but it doesn't mean I have to like it! Blasted cat!" Elethia growls out while rubbing her ankle. "Well now that that's settled, lets consider all of the evidence presented to us Elethia so that you can formulate a way to appease the court and have Jili declared innocent." Dise murmurs amusedly. Elethia sighs and then begins to think of this situation seriously since she doesn't have any other choice with getting the next rainbow piece. She listens to everyones statements and then proceeds to think about all of the evidence presented. She pauses after a while and turns towards the people of the court with confidence. "You see ladies and gentlemen of the court. I'm here today to tell you that Jili Ffrwtan is innocent of this crime and I'm going to state details in full so that there's no lingering doubts in anyones minds about this verdict." Elethia seriously states. The judge with the hammer leans forward with interest and the rest of the court quietens down to hear Elethia make her statements....
