Alanna took a nice long look at the storm cloud Aurvandill wanted them to somehow get rid of. She really wished that people would make more reasonable requests that use her abilities to the best advantage. She had as much control over the weather as she did over the moon - which was absolutely none. Yet, she and Mal must fulfil this request in exchange for the final piece of the bridge Aurvandill had already given them. "Remove it... huh..." She muttered to herself as she tried to conjure up an idea in her head.
Mal looked around the star filled sky. It was beautiful. It made her miss her star-ship something fierce. She let her eyes drink in the sight of the cosmos and finally dragged them to Aurvandill. He was beautiful. Like starshine and angels.

Elethia started to doze off staring at the storm cloud while wondering if it was as soft as it looked. Aurvandill spoke again a bit louder to snap her out of it and to remind her once more of the task at hand. While frowning at the morning star she paused to consider the situation at hand. Okay so a big storm cloud is blocking this guys beam to Asgard and I just have to remove it? He makes it sound so easy, but if it was that simple he could have removed it himself a long time ago. Mr. Scoots is scared of thunder and bad weather so I can't ask for his help. I guess I'll have to rummage through my bag and see if there's anything that can help me out..." Elethia pondered “Oh, schanpp. It’s huge.†Talwyn commented, looking at the cloud. She was instantly reminded of the earlier, seemingly insurmountable challenge of counting all of Custenhinn’s sheep. But this was different. How was she to face a literally shapeless enemy? The pixie glared at the giant, swirling raincloud. ‘But what can I do to get rid of it? There’s no wind up here to blow it away.’ And it was then that an idea hit her, like lightning. Talwyn knew exactly what to do.
Irith looked up and saw the storm cloud Aurvandill had been talking about. How was she supposed to remove it. If only the cloud could speak and Zarith could tell him to move out of the way, it would be so much easier if that was possible.

Howl turned to regard the cloud that Aurvandill pointed out. He knew that messing with the weather was a bad business in general, even if you didn't use actual weather magic. Still, he was so very close to having all the shards and being able to finish with this tiring business of being helpful. He went through the remainder of his spell ingredients, hoping he still had enough for what he wanted to do.

Chapter 21 – Sváfa

The morning star was much obliged because of your help. He said that Sváfa holds the last missing piece of Bifröst. So that’s where you’re heading next. Sváfa, you recall, is a valkyrie and the daughter of king Eylimi. Once the Norwegian king Hjörvarðr had a son who was a silent man and to whom no name could be given. When this silent man had grown up, he was one day sitting on a hill, and he saw nine Valkyries riding of whom Sváfa was the most beautiful one. Sváfa called him Helgi and asked him if he wanted a gift with his newly-given name (which was customary), but Helgi wanted nothing if he could not have Sváfa herself. She then informed him of the location of a great sword engraved with snakes and magic runes. Sváfa had given Helgi his name and during his battles, she was always there for him, shielding him from tÄ“lÅ --- danger. Sounds like a protective woman, but not very forbidding. As you follow DÃse to the valkyries hut, you feel a rush of anticipation. This is the last splitter you’re obtaining, which means that the Bifröst is nearly complete. Hopefully Sváfa is willing to cooperate. The valkyries hut is a nonagon clearing. As you enter, a female creature with armor and bronze wings appears. “We’re searching for Sváfa.†DÃse starts to explain but the valkyrie interrupts her with a barking sound. “Found her. But it’s not me you’re searching, am I right? It’s the last piece of the rainbow bridge.†– “Um...†Sváfa makes a face. “So I thought. Well, you can have it. But first you must find a way to pass my sisters. They need a little training.†Within the wink of an eye the glade is full with valkyries, eight of them plus their speaker. They fly a ring around DÃse and you, closing you both in. You should have known. This isn’t going to be a pushover.

Mal went into a crouch as the Valkyries flew up out of nowhere. Her hand went to the gun which wasn't there and came back empty. She was in shape but fast enough to get by a throng of professional warriors? Probably not. But... They had to try.
Alanna watched atop of Vár as the valkyries circled their group tightly. The winged warriors flew ever closer, quickly closing in so that there was no visible space between one valkyrie and the next. Vár whickered nervously and tried to back away, his eyes wide as he noticed their escape was blocked. "Ssh... it's alright, boy." Alanna patted her faithful horse reassuringly. "Ugh... this is making me a little dizzy..." Alanna muttered as she looked down to steady herself for a moment. "But we can't let this stop us now. This is the last shard for the bridge, so let's give it our all!"

Elethia shrieks and dodges just in time as an amused valkyrie makes a lazy swipe at her hair. They seem content to continue playing with her, but she knows that she has to break free of their circle to get the last piece of the shard. Wit, bribery, and strength won't work in this battle given that she's going against such skilled warriors. As the valkyries begin to convene once more on her she chances a quick glance back and notices that Mr. Scoots has found safe shelter behind some bushes. "Alright lets do this!" Wings, of course. He should have figured the final task would be something of this nature. Cosima had warned him it would turn his thoughts and thinking on his head, but being placed against the bird like - that he had never even considered that.
The Valkyries circled around DÃse and him. He hadn't met any personally before, but he figured he could make a good guess as to what to except.
"Nimble, quick, coordinated..." Cuinn thought. "Warriors too." Going against them head to head would not be in his advantage. If it was a test, trickery might serve him will in this case.
Talwyn yelped as a valkyrie lunged for her. She barely managed to duck out of the way. “Hold on, guys! Don’t move, and stay quiet!†“Are you bloody insane?†Gilbert lept right out of another valkyrie’s reach. “Just trust me!†The pixie hollered back.
Irith looked up at the valkyries, she knew that she would never be able to outrun them in a race, but she had to get the Bifröst splitter from Sváfa, so she had to come up with a plan to win it.

Howl muffled a groan of dismay. He didn't have to fight them, thank goodness, but this was almost as bad. He wanted to go home. He'd had far too much heroics for the time being. But he reminded himself thta after this, he was done and could go back to Sophie and a much deserved rest. He quickly came up with a plan.

Chapter 22 – Odin

You made it! You found a way to escape from the valkyries and now your quest is done. What a weird feeling… But no time to get sentimental. The Furious One, the ruler of Asgard, Odin himself called you back to celebrate your victory. With Heimdallrs help you are directly teleported to Valaskjálf, one of Odin's Halls, a great dwelling built and roofed with pure silver. In this room is a high seat, Hliðskjálf, where Odin can watch over the entire universe. “Allfather.†DÃse bends her knee. “This is the one who bestead me to replace all splints of Bifröst. Our all savior.†You bow low. “My lord Odin.†Two eyes like liquid ember meet yours. It feels like a spotlight deep in your soul. “Arise, my hero. I watched your quest all along. You’ve done us justice. I’m sure humans will sing about your exploit for centuries. I know it’s just a little something but I insist that you take a look at my treasure chamber and pick yourself an object of your choice.†With red cheeks you thank Odin for his kindness, while the Allfather beckons to a servant. “Go, get our braver some pompously clothes. We will be having a feast tonight to honor DÃse and her proud partner.†The servant runs off. “Take your time to get ready.†Odin addresses you with a smile. “I’ll see you then.†He vanishes, leaving you and DÃse behind. “Wow, you clearly made an impression.†She embraces you. “Now, I’ll lead you to the treasure room as my Lord commanded. Enjoy the ride, it will be the last time you’ll need my guidance.â€

Upon receiving the clothing from the servant, he did his best to arrange a more extravagant look than usual - naturally requiring much more feathers to do so. Eventually, he was ready.
The ride to the treasure room with DÃse was spent mostly in silence, Cuinn too in awe by the surroundings for conversation. The hallways and ceilings seemed to compete with each other for endlessness, shining every so often as light caught them. He hoped that, perhaps one day, he would be able to return to visit again.
The thought that others would have heard of his victories brought about mixed feelings. Those of joy and accomplishment of course, yet also a sense of disbelief and relief. Up until recently he had never dreamed that something like this would ever be possible in his lifetime. The events of all of the tasks were something he still had to visit again in his head, as if there was a need to confirm whether they were elaborate dreams or not.
His thoughts wandered to thinking of what he would do when he had returned. Perhaps he could find a home? Or continue more adventures? Explore even further across the world? They all sounded viable, but he thought it would be best to pay someone a visit first before he decided. No doubt, Cosima had heard of his stories too, he hoped.
Valhalla?! We keep getting to see things and do things that most people in their lives never would dream of. But even more...treasure?! We lost some of the decorum when we got to the treasure room and started playing in the piles of gold. Even my somewhat grumpy wolf seemed to be having fun frolicking in the pretty shinnies. I put an ornate crown on with about fifty necklaces and some extremely large earrings and looked over at Hlin. I didn't want her to go. I took off the jewels and looked at her seriously. "I have come to think of you as my sister. Hlin, let's stay together. Our pets and us--a new family. What say you?"
As Elethia continues to gawk at the splendor of Odin's Halls, Dise sighs and begins to bustle her towards the rooms to get changed. Once situated there, a servant comes forth with clothes for her to change into. As Dise and the servant look at her expectantly, Elethia knows that she won't be allowed to have too much input on how her outfit turns out for the feast. Elethia emerges from the changing room looking a bit disgruntled with the shoes that she had to put on. All in all though, the outfit isn't too bad she muses. Outfit Not Found Dise then takes her from that room and brings her down to the treasure room to pick an item of her choice. Hopefully it will be something magical with explosive tendencies Elethia smirks to herself. Upon hearing Dise sigh when seeing the smirk on her face, she glances over at her and gives her a true, but sad smile. She had a lot of fun on this adventure and she enjoyed the time she spent with Dise. She hopes to one day see her again in the future along some of her other adventures. However now it's time to eat and celebrate! She lets out a triumphant cheer that startles everyone in the hall and Mr. Scoots finishes it off by yowling happily. "I can see how the two of you are now suited for each other." Dise chuckles while Elethia blushes and stammers out apologies for their enthusiasm.
Irith stood there, waiting for Dise to guide her one last time. She didn't even know for sure why she had to go and change, since after all the clothes she wore described her perfectly. But if Odin wanted something better, he could get something better.
After Dise had brought her to the room, the servants came with clothes for her to choose from. Irith tried on some things, some of them only because she wanted to see how they looked, decided against them, since they didn't look that good and continued doing that exact same thing until she was completely satisfied with her new look.
Dise took her to the treasure room too, since Odin had said she could pick something. Irith loved the look of the room, but she only picked a small necklace. After all the adventure alone was a reward enough for her, but since Odin offered, she wasn't feeling comfortable with taking nothing at all, so therefor she choose the smallest piece of the pile.

Talwyn craned her neck back in attempt to drink in the grand sight. “Wow…†She was at a loss for words. Just a few months ago, the pixie had been sitting in her little cove with nothing to do, and now…Now, she was a celebrated heroine, by Odin, no less. “We did it… Yeah!†In her happiness, Talwyn grabbed Gilbert by his slimy forearms and spun around, lifting the frog off the perfectly polished floor. “Whoa! Slow down!†He yelped fruitlessly. Talwyn laughed, and very reluctantly slowed down, releasing her companion from her twirling. “...Man, if Athdara, Marcielle, mom, dad, everybody could see this…†The pixie closed her red eyes and allowed herself to imagine. “But I couldn’t have done it without you, Gil.†“O-of course not! You need someone levelheaded, like me, to help you.†The frog flustered. “Haha, you bet.†Talwyn then faces DÃse. “DÃse, without you, I wouldn’t have even had the chance to do this. You saved me from sure boredom.†“It was my pleasure. Besides, thanks to you, the Bifröst is saved.†DÃse graciously responds. “It was no problem. ‘Sides, me and Gilbert enjoyed ourselves. Even if he won’t say so.†In the far distance, Talwyn could hear the faint clinking of cutlery and drawers slamming, indicating preparations for the dinner feast had started. “Well, we should probably get ready for dinner. See you guys later!â€
