The fact that the "SP generated per say" is just an... inaccurate number in of itself is worrisome. On a really good day, from questing alone, I can usually get 1 million sP from quests (usually, this is if Saggi is being very generous to me). Of course, the amount of sP I inject into the system is higher than that - 1 million is just what I walk away with personally at the end of the day.

However... if bank transaction and getting money out of a shop til is also a transaction counted by the site, how accurate can that number even be? The 1 million I earned, I might put into my bank. If I need that one million later - or a greater number including that 1 million I deposited earlier that day - and I bought from a user a 8 million item, the site counts that twice.

When I withdraw it from my bank, and if I spend it on the user shop. The site sees those two transactions generating 16 million sP - which could bring my person daily total to at least 9 million, when I might have only walked away from quests with a 1 million sP profit (+ injected whatever from completing quests)... And then it automatically gives the other person a 8 million "sP generated profit" when they collect their shop til.

Then, compound that number with any of my quest rewards (which is usually how I earn most of my sP - moreso since the 1 mil is a bit of a generous number for me personally); let's say I was really lucky with my dailies, and I have about 3mil worth in items. When I sell those items and collect the sP, that ups my total by 3 million - so that would be seen as a 12 million sp the site generated, when I only really walked away with one million sP from quests. ...If I understood that all right (which I might not have - math isn't necessarily my strongest subject), that seems like a completely useless and arbitrary number that is being thrown around. If you want an accurate number, you would probably have to code something that only counts what is generated from the site (quests, games).

I know my sP profits is probably way lower than a lot of other peoples', but that's just me alone. I wouldn't say I'm handling high numbers of sP - imagine how it must be for people who do, though.

That isn't saying the number were given is worthless in of itself - it can track the motion of sP in the site, which is useful - but for the intended purpose it's like saying that... cats are really popular household animals when I'm talking about the evolution of dog breeds. Yeah, they might also be household pets, but they're not dogs. It doesn't have a place in that discussion and shouldn't be mentioned.

Continuing on what just said... sP is only useful because user shop search, main shops, and quests use it - for all intends and purposes, csc is better since it has more buying power. If I went on hiatus years ago (when csc was like, 1 mil per 100 csc) and came back with 50mil in my vault, it would be worth way less - Back then it would have been worth 5k csc, but now I would be worth about 1k csc. If theoretically I took all my sP back then and bought 5k csc before I left, it be valued waaaay more. This is understandable because of supply/demand and people are asking (and willing to buy) at current prices, but... Well, I'd say prices would probably stabilize a bit if sP was really seen as "safe" in the long run again. But, that involves getting more sP sinks and nicer stuff with sP, and injecting 500mil between ten people for winning a contest still seems like a few steps back from the progress we just made.

I used to be buy csc in order to sell it for sP because I wanted to potion my pet or whatever, years back, but I can honestly say that isn't the case anymore - I'm way better of hoarding every ounce of csc I get and investing my sP into csc (and only keeping sP around for prettying up my pets... although, a lot of features with pets is already csc-dependent, anyways).

Exactly, that's where my frustration stems from - that sort of staff response (which is why I brought up MKBs because I still view it as an sp sink rather than a method simply added for our convenience or to give us another thing to spend sp on especially given it was implemented because of the response seen on the sp sink thread haha xD). I only mention my perception of items plummeting because a friend of mine who consistently restocks a crapton noticed this happening right after haggling was removed. That's part of why I don't trust staff to be monitoring the economy tightly. :C

From what I recall the was given out for entering. Which was especially irritating since there was no mention of participation prizes.

IDK if someone said that, but the point is that nobody will draw CWs if there's not something nice to win. I loved the prizes, that's better than the Peka-Boo prizes. Every CW winner got more than 100m with the percentage factor. And the clothes probably will be on sale for 100~200k, and the sinking will be really higher than the prizes. That's strategy: they see people complaining about the facial items on Subeta, and they want to introduce more items made by us, so a lot of us will vote for them and there'll be an insignificant amount of denial over those items.

That's a bit of a relief, but I'll still probably end up submitting something because nothing is ever certain around here :/

Heck I think a good majority of users would be willing to do it for free, just knowing that their work would be an official part of Subeta.

I disagree. Besides, CSC is infinitely more valuable than SP. I haven't seen one artist who said "wow, the 50M is totally what is making the deal". Why? Because the CSC alone is worth twice that.

SP is worthless, because what can you do with SP? Not much. Really few artists accept commissions in SP, they prefer USD or CSC. Also, more SP in the system devaluate SP.

I'm not saying they are participating for the sP, but it's like an additional 1,000 CSC. And I don't see the difference between CSC and sP. With any of them you can buy the other.

You can sell 1000 CSC for 50M easily right now, but buying 1000 CSC for 50M is going to get harder because CSC is inflating because SP is too widespread.

I agree. About a year or so ago a 1K CSC gift card was selling for around 30 million. After last year's Black Friday the price went up to over 40 million. Now it's 50 million plus.

I'm currently using the 3 month GA from my last Loyalty Box. After it runs out I don't know if I'll bother buying another GA with sP - I'd have to drive myself to exhaustion with questing, vending and restocking every day to make it worthwhile.

I tried to avoid posting on this topic because I didn't feel like it was any of my business, since I'm not very artistic these days and don't plan to enter the contest. But I've been keeping my eye on it, and...

put it into words. I do the exact same thing - my sP might be saved up a little bit for a few days, but as soon as I have enough it goes directly to CSC, which is wayyyy more valuable. I almost never have sP on hand OR in my vault anymore because I constantly cash it out on CSC.

Chiming in to say I agree with those saying that 50mil in pure is a really unnecessary prize when you're already getting 2k CSC. :( I realize much SP will be sunk to buy those items, but that's 500mil SP that doesn't have to join the economy at all.

I also really wanna know if there are gonna be participation prizes :P not an artist at all sigh
