nods the first budgie, plus Bertie and Sid all came from garden centre pet departments (the second one was a gift from a family friend who bred budgies at that point). But the last time Mum went to look at the garden centre, she wasn't impressed with the state of the cages. Hopefully when they get out to this other pet shop, there'll be loads of budgies, all in great condition :D

The parrot I saw yesterday were just hanging out on his perch at the pet store.. outside his cage. lol Just overseeing everything and enjoying the attention from the customers. He started tippy toe dancing when I talked to him. :P

Fingers and toes crossed. :) Getting a young one would make it easier to get him or her used to being around people and even handled if you want that. :) That is what I would do anyways if I were to get one.

nods Sid was really young when we got him, so that'd be the aim to get a youngster so he can be trained easier ;) It'd be a boy budgie for certain, as they tend to be happier around people (and don't bite as hard as the girls! :P) But I do want to try getting it finger tame, so it'd be easier for any vet visits if it's used to at least sitting on my hand ;)
