maybe upgrade to bluray and buy a used vcr? possibly rip the vidoes onto a dvd?

Most of the videos we wanted to keep are on dvd already, but we record onto video so Gran & Grandad can watch things (they haven't got the hang of dvds, and they don't have Sky so they get less tv channels than we do). Sod's law that his video player works fine still :K :P

I might have to dig out my rewritable dvds so I can try recording onto them instead of relying on the video (even if it's just for stuff we record for us to watch) - at least then that'd give us another option if we did need to replace the player at some point ;)

thank you, I had on red when i started but the crimson while nice on her skin, washed her out with the muted bg so I'll have to revisit the look with a different one.

yeah, I can imagine that some stronger colours would be a bit more challenging to work with ;)
