nods the only ones I buy like that now, are ones that are about the same price as a weekly magazine - then it doesn't matter if I only read it once as I've not spent too much on it :)

:D I borrow most the books I read from the library or from family and friends. But sometimes I buy paperbacks, at least that is a lot cheaper. :D Especially for those books that you tend to throw away in the end. Some I like to collect in nice paperbacks tho that looks lovely in my bookshelves. :) Are you like Raven and have worn out your HP books yet? :)

nods I've got some from charity shops too - then re-donate them afterwards, so they can sell them again :D But yeah, I try to avoid hardback books if I can.... apart from the Alex Rider series and Harry Potter of course, as I didn't have the patience to wait for the paperbacks to be released for those! ;)

I've been good with my HP books - they've not started to fall apart just yet :D But I haven't read them for a while though, so that might explain why they're still in reasonably good condition :P
