i've only used pencils
the shirt of dread is done. see the black contrast hem? that's the 10 hours of agony, crying and store trips that I finally got to stay on the damn shirt. LOL I lost some battles but I won the WAR
I got some fineliners to start with, mainly because they were cheap laughs but they do work well for details, as the pencils I have are quite soft, so it's almost impossible to get an accurate thin line with them :P
You wouldn't know the bias binding had caused so many nightmares - that looks awesome!! :D :D gives you a round of applause :D :D

I have some too lol but I mostly use those in scrapbooking Thank you. I was determined to get it on if it killed me lmao.
:D
I love the outfit by the way - even sewing through the destruction of the universe? ;)

:P well, someone has to continue sewing :P unless you have an automatic machine ;)

:P I guess you're taking a break from sewing today, considering the amount you got finished? ;)

we'll see. if my back agrees I might work on those monkeys. I'm honestly not sure what I'm doing yet.
monkeys sound good nods are they hand stitched, or done on a machine?

both :P I did the legs as if a zip and cut in the middle, then sewed everything by machine I could until I put the arms, tail, mouth and eyes on.
that sounds like a good plan :D Sewing all those seams by hand could be a nightmare! ;)

Woah! Raven - Pesky Shirt of Doom 1 - 0! :fistpump: I bet that one will look great on you. :D Love the colours! I would totally want to wear it! :)
:nods: It makes it worthwhile. :D What are you upto today? I just showered, and made myself a late "breakfast". 👼 My flat is pretty clean and spotless right now.. so I can do whatever I feel like. Other than needing to do one pile of laundry. ;)

That's always good when everything is clean (hopefully the laundry won't take too long!) ;) I've been testing out a new dress pattern I got with a magazine - I've hand tacked it together to check the sizing (and amazingly, it seems to work!), so I just need to machine all the seams and find a suitable zip :D

yeah longer time and they are going to kids so I think the machine seems are probly more durable aww thank you
yeah, I wouldn't want to trust my hand sewing on a kid's toy! ;)
Speaking of hand sewing, I hand basted a dress today, just to check the sizing - it came out surprisingly well :D So next week I can try machine stitching it, and getting the right sized zip to fit ;) I went with the sleeveless version, as the sleeves are tricky to fit (my arms are a bit too chunky to fit the size I need across the shoulders o.O)

yeah and slower lmao ooh yay! sounds great though and this way if you wanted, you could use it as a jumper.
rummages for the link to the pic This is the dress but without the pockets, as I thought they looked a bit weird :P It's a shift dress, but it's almost fitted on the chest, and noway near fitted on the waist, which is perfect laughs :D I'm leaving fiddling with the neckline until I've machined the first lot of seams though laughs

:D I used up some of the king size duvet cover I used for a jacket last year laughs but if it works out to be a good size, I'll make another out of some decent fabric ;)
