thanks :D had to lol it was too perfect xD added the cauldron and the extra table which layered better. woah that's a lot of forest you have on :o

My Dad is in an absolutely pissy mood. I've had like two hours sleep and am going to do the shopping now to get away from him. Maybe either by the time he's back, he's in a better mood, or I'm tired enough to go back to sleep.

it looks amazing! :D hehe I had to do something foresty today - RP-Paddy insisted on the dress, and wanted me to colour match everything :P

Awww that's no fair with him in a bad mood :K Has it improved since this morning?

We finally got your weather! ;) Bright sunshine, clear skies.... but still a northerly breeze laughs It was nice indoors by the window though ;)

[edit] I definitely need a new computer mouse - I clicked "post" and it moved and clicked on the text of "ping favourite friends" but seemed to post at the same time o.O so apologies if anyone else got a ping here, as that was unintentional!

even better that it's an easy stitch, but looks so fancy! :D I worked on a sewing project today, but it didn't go right, so I've abandoned that as a bad job, and think I'll dig out a different pattern to try another version instead ;)

His mood's lightened a little I guess, but mine hasn't. Had only about an hour /hour 1/2 of sleep before dad's banging the dishes woke me. went to Walmart and looked for some tank tops. nothing in my size that fit. Had to double the size for the cami. they don't look as nice because its 2 sizes too big of course so makes you feel fat which didn't improve my mood at all. went to barnes and noble to discover that location isn't selling simply knit anymore. had to drive another 45 mins to get the magazine at the other bn. its the January one, so still waiting to get the Feb one but we are a month behind. Got home from this at around 2pm, took forever to fall asleep and then I was woken by the dog. So have had 3 hours sleep total -_- Then went to another Walmart had 2 of the tops but yeah they didn't look good. I got them for lack of anything else though.

looks fantastic

:K that's no way near enough sleep! And yeah, I know what you mean on the sizing - a tank top has to fit nicely (without clinging / bagging), otherwise they really look wrong :( How come they aren't selling the magazine any more?!

Maybe you'll find some nice stretchy fabric, and an online pattern (or a cheap Simplicity one), and will be able to have a go at making your own top?

tell me about it :/ they said sometimes they just stop carrying it at some locations o.0 that looks like the plan. I can't see spending $40-50 on a tank top at the good store.

o.O having said that though, I was told by a company that they no longer were making an own-brand product they'd sold out of.... two months later, they have a new batch of stock in, and obviously they are still making it. So it might be that they will stock it at a later date even though they said they aren't ;)

😮 How much?! Is it this style you like, or more like the sleeveless version of this?

I doubt that's the case here. Yeah its way over priced -_-. You can't have nice close being plus size unless you pay a stupid amount. I mean if it were a dress shirt I wouldn't be complaining, but a mass produced tank top? I actually like both versions XD the only problem is my bust is 48, the patter goes to 45 :/

nods that just seems daft on the pricing :K

Ok, how about this one (giving a bit of allowance for the ease in the pattern, and the fact that the material stretches anyway), and I did also spot this but that might not be ideal, as it's not got a lot of shape, so it might look quite oversized....

How about this (several different styles, and can be sewn in regular cotton, not just stretchy stuff) - I'm 99% positive you would be able to get the pattern a lot cheaper than that too ;)

i've memo-ed them in my mobile though from the looks of it Amazon had one for $17 o.0 but I can look and see if there's any sales on or if there's other patterns.

Simplicity's website has it for $10 or thereabouts, but hopefully you'll get lucky and find it cheaper than that ;)

Have you looked at So-Sew-Easy (or this - she has quite a lot of free patterns, and there's a couple that have quite a wide size range (or apparently aren't too hard to alter the sizing)
