I managed to redo the head of the parrot plushie I was messing around with the other week (there's a free pattern to download from the sewing magazine I get, but the instructions are in the magazine, so I wanted to try figuring it out without the instructions laughs).... just need to work out his wings now, seeing as that wasn't part of the pattern o.O

Yeah, all I can think is that the wing pattern was in the magazine - which I'm trying to avoid having to buy laughs Certainly their picture on the website shows wings....

ooh Whinny would be adorable xD I cut the side pannels of the tote the wrong direction, 1/2 inch too short and 1/2 too wide... so to save fabric, I cut off the access 1/2 inch, and slid the back of the inside of the pocket (you fold the fabric over and put stablizer in the middle) 1/2 inch down. So to make sure I had the inside part secure, I flipped it over and opened the bias tape. Then I sewed the bias down, flipped it back over and sewed the bias on as normal. No one will ever see the missing piece of fabric and its not in any danger of getting caught on anything xD -is proud of my problem solving-

I had to use that skirt (and the hat once I saw the next couple of stages) ;) :D That stinks when you cut it wrong, but it sounds like the perfect way to resolve it! :D :D

hehe its brilliant xD yeah I'm pretty pleased to have solved it. the inside lining is all sew up so just the ouside and putting them together with the bias tape and then handles so not too bad xD
