Strangely enough, the birds never try eating the strawberries.... we've had a squirrel pick a strawberry from the plants at home (they don't get netted properly, as I was worried the birds might get tangled in it, but after the badger came down to that part of the garden, we rigged up a net to block access to those plants from the sides), and of course the deer like to eat the plants on the allotment, so they have to be netted :K but as long as we keep an eye on that, they've been really good for cropping :D

lol How many hours did we lose this time, browsing blogs? :P Pusurs book is coming along very nicely! :D I have about 10 pages left to finish now. Started at 50. :P

It would be nice to have a spot to grow them myself.. but I dont think my landlord would be too impressed if I started digging into his garden. :P

Not really, as I share an entrace with my landlord... the entrance to my flat is inside the house in the hallway, so. At least I hope to be able to hang on in the garden this summer. :D

I might see if I can find a really large cheap top in a shop that I can try resizing just to kind of play around with the idea first, before trying it with my current one ;)

Aww that's not much help :( But at least you should be able to use the garden once the summer weather arrives :D
