if he does, I might have to dig out the bass guitar (I snapped a string on the other one and haven't replaced it yet 😊) - I decided not to sell it in the end laughs

nope, I asked on the microsoft forums and had one response that didn't solve it.... google searching it doesn't help, and I'm wondering if it's down to the graphics card or something (as Mum's laptop works fine on windows 10, and that has a different make of card in it).... other than that, I'm stuck for thoughts on what could be the problem! :K
