2016 has been the very worst year of my life without question, and that's all I'll say about it. I'll be glad when it's over. Though I am 20 kilos lighter through stress and I'm pretty pleased about that! Christmas is a time when there are lots of lovely events socially and also online. It's busy and it's fun, lots of bright lights and so much to do. The city always looks gorgeous. Also, I love having about 10 days off work and only having to take about 3 of them as actual leave because of the bank holidays.

I thought I was a member of the cult but I can't figure out how to find out. 'shrug' I agree with whatever anybody else decides. <3

Christmas used to be a whirl of visiting family and friends, meals and gifts. Now, with my parents passed on, and my kids out of the house I am trying to slow down and center myself on the quiet but important parts of the season. No decorating, but starting to enjoy of work others have put into theirs. No cooking, but enjoying a nice meal with friends. Listening to the choir and participating in advent. Trying to focus on the blessings that are around us each day.

Okay, well that settles it. I'm going to host a Lumi HA contest! ALL PSers are eligible to win! RULES: Create a Luminaire HA You don't have to own all the items on your HA. CW's are acceptable If you don't know how to post an image of your HA, message me and I'll try to help you. You can just dress up and tell me what you're wearing is what you want to enter (instead of posting an image). Just don't change until I've saved your HA image!

JUDGING: My hubby will pick the winners. That way there's no bias (which honestly, I love all of you and would like to think I'm not either. LOL)

How long do we have to do it? I have a bunch of house chores to do tomorrow, and then my boyfriend and I are going out to dinner for his birthday.

I completely conked out on the couch for two hours after I got home. This early morning work thing is tough! But I really like my new job so far and everyone on my research team, so it's not too bad. The 6am daily alarm is rough though, even if I don't leave my bed for 15 minutes :P My poor boyfriend ends up waking up a bit around then too when I have to turn the light on to finish getting ready in the morning, and he is very decidedly not a morning person.

Christmas means to me caring for everyone and being kind with no ill will towards others.

[EDIT] Sorry to hear that a lot of people having a crappy year so far. I've been also trying to get an internship to finish off my Graphic Design degree and now I"m worried if I'll be getting a job after I get done with it.

Christmas means to me making family and friends happy and cheerful. It also means helping others who may need more help. My work place adopts kids for the holidays and we get to go shopping for them on Tuesday and I'm super excited about that. I love Christmas!

Hello everyone! Hugs to all of you whose year has sucked and unfortunately I have to add mine to the list. Our Thanksgiving did not go as planned...my step dad had to be admitted to the hospital Thanksgiving morning and passed away the morning after Thanksgiving. Work has been crazy because last night and today were our busiest weekend of the year with our annual Christmas event. At least decorating and running around in a tizzy wanting to scream or laugh hysterically kept my mind off other things. Our event went great and was a success so I'm thankful for that. Now to try to get focused on decorating my own house and find some Christmas cheer.

Christmas to me means spending time with the family, seeing my kids get so excited for Santa and such. Seeing their joy makes me happy:) And Im so glad to see the PS Elf!
