Re: the away topic, I would very much like to second the emphasis on making sure it doesn't become a mess of pings. I've only been around the lair for a matter of days but I'm definitely one of those people who has various reasons why they might disappear without any warning. I've got a lot of potential for medical complications and hospital stays. But anyway, it's just really important not to overwhelm people. That's all.

Krampus has some really creepy parts (it has an excellent beginning in that respect) and then some really silly moments. It didn't bother me but I can definitely see how it would scare someone. I highly suggest a big cup of cocoa or something to that effect after.

I just found a book that Pollie hasn't read, and it only cost 8k. I have forgotten how to update the subetalodge book collection... Rats! I bet there are others I need under 200. I would MUCH rather pay 8-10 k than 1.5-2 mill!

By update do you mean the mass update? I personally just do Items Needed and then do Account line by line. It's time-consuming, so I only do two or three lines at a time.

I agree on privacy issue,we are on a need to know basis for whatever reasons someone isnt here. I know some of our bears have serious medical issues. I would be happy with a comment that just contained a smiley face, meaning I love you all, but dealing with RL issues. My thought on the thread to let everyone know they have RL issues, be back when I can place. Plus IF they can comment anything special they need help with in an event, so the rest of the group can help. Or we can just assume plain kisses, dances or TorT, etc will fit the bill. So that missing member will be able to participate to some degree when they return to the subeta/lair. So far as naming the thread, it should be an extension of the theme you intended for the group. When I think of care bears for this group, I think of a friendly protective family gathering of bears out in the forest somewhere. The cartoon never came to mine, because I thought in the tradition of your tribe following generations back you would follow their thinking for the lair theme.

I dont want the thread to be a ping fest either that would annoy/overwhelm/smother the missing bear and that isnt or wasnt my intent. Just more of sorry I missing in RL and a centralized place we can have their name located, so we dont have to search to help in small way with kisses, TorT , dance, etc. PLUS member can also say, they prefer not to receive anything/help.

I just mentioned Marreshaann more than once, no one commented at all. No answers, so my thought send her kisses. She will feel good we are thinking of her, even when she isnt here and busy with RL.

I think the first post in new thread should have a list of intent/rules/suggestions for thread. Mainly not a place to ping massively, not a message booth to missing player. Just central place someone can post if they feel like letting us know their fine, and do they maybe wish help in an event/ or NOT. IF they do wish for help its, a central location to come to, so we can do that. IF they dont post there, we just have to assume their fine and hope all is well/RL isssues and they will return to the lair when they can. I think thread could be plainly call, Lairbear Status list

- This probably piggy-backs on what you all have been talking about with the people who are away thread. I think this partly came about because some of our group members were away for various reasons during Survival. There's a reason that I listed the people I did in that first post of our kissing thread. For example, posted that she would be away during the event and would appreciate any kisses toward the achievement, which is why she was listed in that first post of our kissing board. I didn't feel it was my place to publicly divulge the reason why she wouldn't be around. Perhaps during the next event, I can be more clear that the list is for people working toward an achievement or a member who will be away and unable to participate in the event?

P.S. - I'm not sure who all has been discussing this, so feel free to copy my post and ping the appropriate people. I just happened to be reading a couple of posts (too many for a full catch-up) and wanted to throw in my two cents.

Okay so i didnt know if it sounded good. Thanks for letting me know. But seriously anything you think that could be expressed better or nail down some guidelines to make sure it stays just a status update and help thread. I dont want/ hope it doesnt turn into a ping fest, I just want players that will be absent to leave a small status, like I said even a smile or sad face. Because i know some bears have serious health issues, and literally an emoji symbol is more than enough.

A'ite lets see if I can still get this to work. First test was using the URL method. Does NOT work.

Second test page by page, personally so I know where I'm at I start with the last page and work my way forward but of course that's up to you. Pull up the page, click ctrl+u - brings up the view source page. Ctrl+a copies everything on it. Go to SubetaLodge and paste in the source code box on the mass add page (http://www.subetalodge.org/mass_add)

I tried it with auto-detect and it seems to work. If it doesn't pick the pet's book list from the drop down menu and submit.

Clear the source code box and lather rinse repeat.

...

Now to see if it's accurate.. and it is!

The server change jacked up updating our collections using the url pages, I'm sure of it. But this is how we did it before that option was added and once you're in the swing of things it takes almost no time at'tall =)

I think this idea is more toward someone who's always around at least once a day or every other day and vanishes, right? I'm ok with whatever they put together as long as it doesn't become a ping-a-paloosa, you and I have our hands full just keeping up with the achievement hunters, returning dances and gathering all the trinkets we can find.
