I'm looking forward to Fireside and to be blessed by the Red Rreign. Start saving items that have the word Red Rreign in them, you will use these items to toss into the bonfire to be blessed by the Red Rreign. Beware of any item that has the word 'wreathed' in the name, The Red Rreign will scorch you and harm a pet if you try to give him one of those items. Red Rreign items will be 'floaties' that randomly appear like pumpkins did. It should start soon.

I have a question about the Spotlight how exactly des this work? I am still working on Sarotti and her story - but once I finished how can I enter her into the spotlight? Or is it random?

I check constantly every 30 minutes or so, otherwise I wouldnt get anything. But a lot of it has to do with being lucky enough to catch it, when its restocked. I would love to know when it restocks, it would make things easier.

The spotlight is a highly subjective appraisal of your pet's 'lookup' page and it is evaluated for it's art, story, and general appeal. There is no real criteria for winning other then that. My pet Madison23 was nominated for over six years before she was finally dropped and I took off the list for any further nominations.

So, here how it works:

Complete a compelling Pet Profile ('lookup' page) for your pet. Include a clever story, clever artwork and a clever collection of pet treasure that reflects the pet's story somehow. In the "Pets" tab, chose "Spotlight" and select that pet for consideration to be nominated for the Pet Spotlight.

Promote your Pet's Profile in any number of 'evaluate my pet profile' forums, or have your friends on the Lair Bear forum evaluate your pet profile. When you do, somebody is sure to 'Nominate' your pet for the Spotlight. When that is done, you will see that in the spotlight corner of your Pet Profile, there is a little notice "This Pet Has Been Nominated For Pet Spotlight."

At this point, your pet is being evaluated by the Subeta Team. They are quite critical and if they don't like it right away, they will remove the nomination almost immediately and the notice will change back to "Nominate This Pet" Your pet can be renominated in eight days.

If your pet is not rejected, then it goes into something called 'The Cue' ( or quay ) where it might undergo further evaluation. This could take months or years. This is where Madison23 languished for 6 years before finally being rejected.

Some Pet Profiles are just downright outstanding and win easily, others like Madison's might be good enough, but for whatever reason, you will not be told one way or another why you are rejected or not. Like I said, it is very frustrating and requires a lot of work.

My best suggestion is to hire out somebody who knows how to write good code ( I did my own code and I feel that is where I failed Madison ), have somebody do some artwork that is up to "Subeta Standards" ( alas, my art is not in the "Subeta Style" ) and get somebody to write out your story. Hire someone who had has had multiple wins, ( there are several Lair Bears who have won the Pet Spotlight ) and offer them CSC as well as sP. I just haven't had the time to do that lately and I've just not pursued the Spotlight since last year.

You have to go to the "Pet" tab and set the "Spotlight "to allow your pets to be nominated, then we can nominate them....I should have looked at your pets before I ranted....sorry.

I see... Well as for Lookup - I am really bad at anything like this. So yeah I've hired someone - as well as for the oet picture.

Story - now that's a different thing. I love to write my own stories, even if english is not my native language.

As said - I am still working on Sarotti s story - but the rest is already up! So once I finshed the story, I need to have someon look into it for mistakes and then we will see!

Thanks. Mondstaub (which is actually Moondust in english) is the nex story I am working on. I also have pictures for Polarstern (Polar star ) and Lale ready, just waiting for the person who codes my petprofiles.

So I submitted my dress CW again with the changes I made to it (since the CI seemed 'approve-able' to me), and it got denied again The re-submitted female overlayxxxFirst submitted female overlay

Two of the reasons for the denial are flat artwork and not enough layers of shading on both the CI and overlay.

Some RL clothes look smoothly flat like that, it's a feature of the kind of matte or velvetish material that they're made of. Not everything is hyperglossy. I think that their criticism is unhelpful.

Is there a time limit that you can't ask the artist?

, .. one correction. You are NOW given a reason in your event box of why the rejection. Mine was due to coding issues alone so hopefully it will "pass" this time. The other is still in the cue....
