I wish it would work, that way I would recruit the neighbor dogs, too. Thankfully I dont worry to much about raking stuff up in the beds. There is a mix of dirt and particles of the italian cypress that fall off in the beds all year. I leave them in the beds, fertilize the trees. We have lizards here running a muck in the yard eating the roaches, although they hide from my dogs.

Oh i see...i only have the neighbors cats to contend with...i have a broom that will take care of that... :P The leaf cover will keep moisture in the soil too.I can't believe it's November already...

My dogs dont like cats in the yard, they dispatched one last week. I let them out, and I heard what was going on. I could get them to stop. I have scared cats off the property so many time trying to discourage them. Because of my dogs, they dispatch anything that doesnt belong in the yard. They are very territorial.

The soil is so rich from underneath the italian cypress, the line the property. I am going to move some of the soil up in the front of the house on my calla beds.

I love how you are always busy in the garden.I am the same way.I could spend all day out in the garden and not even keep track of time.It is my happy place,to unwind and lose any stress.I get comfortable out there.Especially since the birds are using the birdhouses i built.I was getting dive bombed this yr because i was too close to their house....the other birds are used to me...it's their 3rd yr coming back to my yard for them.They are tree swallows,sooo cute..

Thanks I have always been happier outside since I can remember. Its my one place in man land called my home, that they dont bother me. Its me and the dogs, out in the yard. Sometimes hubby comes out, why are you out there so long? I tell him well, I started on this project and worked my way over to another and forgot the time. If more people got out in their yards, they would be happier. Hubby is going to help transplanting the lime bush. One bird scared me half to death, and I think I scared it, too. While I was picking the limes. It didnt see me, and came so close I could hear its wings moving, and felt the draft off its wings.No bird houses, I am afraid of birds. All though I have rescued one from a pool, we used to have and one was trapped in the rain gutter spout at the base of it. We get a lot of hummingbirds, around my ornamental pomegranate bushes.

I have only seen 1 humming bird and that wasn't a very good look.Love to see one up close once.They are very pretty and amazing too.I love birds,we have all kinds here.I still need one apple tree,one plum tree and i'd like a few bushes too.

We see 3-4 at a time circling the bushes, they like. I had a red Beretta they would dive bomb. I want an enclose gazebo or porch so I could sit out and enjoy any type of weather.

I will look that flower up...I'd like to be able to attract them to my yard...We only have a couple types here... I want to put in a pergola on the north end of the deck. I must go off to bed dear...You have a good day,i will talk to you tomorrow. :) sleep well

It a bush with red looking flowers on them. Hummingbird like the color red.

I looked up pergola, they wouldnt provide much shade here from the sun. Although my neighbor has one.

Perry and I run the local precinct and I know that Los Angeles County has in the past actively promoted doing the voting selfie thing.

You can't film without permission of the Los Angeles County Clerk Registrar Recorder, and you can't photograph anyone else at all not even a little bit without their permission.

:3 I might just because, but if the picture see's the light of day is another story.

Although for some reason Im wanting to dress up really weird when I go to vote- it seems to FINALLY be cooling down in my area of Arkansas, so maybe all the crochet warm stuffs Ive made will get some use. That, and the sock monkey hat from GISHwhes last year.

I can't say I wasn't tempted, but I decided against it. In my state we have mail-in ballots so there's nothing really very exciting about voting since we don't get to go to the polls. It would be more fun that way!
