LOL! This is literally the second time that I have done non-work Subeta things at work, and I have been here almost three months! But yea, it is awkward. But that's the non-profit world... needing corporate sponsorships. I one day will be able to delegate this to my office minions. :D
Haha, I wasn't saying you do so all the time xD Believe me, I know work places with times when you literally have NOTHING to do except sitting there and waiting for the time to pass xD
Good luck getting there! I know it is a job that has to be done. I... just wouldn't be good at it I think xD

YES!!!!! I GET TO WORK GOAT DAY!
/ends fangirl moment
Oh I know! :) It is honestly a nice change... not needing to pass time. I never have enough of it is it is. :|
The thing is... I am REALLY good at phonecalls and am very personable. I just hate it. LOL.
Anyways, how are you today Neels ?
fucking double post.
subeta y u suck
hey girl, glad you got out of jury duty. What was it? They must have really liked you :)
Hi! And ugh me too. :(
It was resisting arrest/impeding an officer. Did you see what I posted about it on the forums?
WHERE IS MY INTERN!? WHY IS HE ALWAYS LATE?!
not yet, haven't been on the forums yet this morn', hiding from the boss shhhh ;)
Goat day? What is goat day? -confused-
I am okay, my aunt had her surgery today and everything went alright. I should send out more work applications (which I will tomorrow), but right now Subeta is more interesting xD Nothing to special, really. I am questing right now and enjoy having two new pets xD Tinge and Whoot joined my pet family yesterday. And I am thinking about where my life will lead me in the future. Meh.
How are you except having to do uncomfortable phone calls?
[/img]
...I got out of it by crying passionately. LOL The DA was like "would you be able to be impartial" and I was like "no because I have an issue with police using excessive force and if all the evidence provided was conflicting testimony from a cop and a civilian, I would be more likely to believe the civilian because of my beliefs."
And I got excused from the jury.
It is this event next month at the conference center where they will be literal GOATS. I have been hoping I would get a shift on it, lol.
Glad that your aunt's surgery went well! and yay for new pets!
I am alright, tired. Yesterday was a LONG day thanks to jury duty, working remotely while waiting around, being in voire doir for like a billion years and then going to work for a couple of hours when I was finally released. Today is a long day, too. :(
Oh I love goats, that sounds amazing. But also like a big mess xD
I am keeping my fingers crossed for your day to flow by quickly!
How does that work with being on jury duty in the US? Can they call just any citizen in for jury duty, or only special people? I really only know your jurisdiction system from TV shows xD
[/img]
goats o.o' like real living breathing goats, can I ask.. why? and seeking out ur post, haven't found it yet XD there's quiet a few posts to read through these last few days.
-noms -
They can call in anyone, any time, any where. It's a random system. Have work, too bad. Appointment, sucks to be you. There are a few cases where you can be excused but most 99% you better come in or they will find you x.x'
Yea... the goats will be outside of the building... but I feel like the event itself will be a hot mess. Probably why /I/ was scheduled to manage it.
Anyone over the age of 18 can be called to serve on a jury, unless they have been convicted of a felony and lost their civic rights. And apparently in California you can be called once a year... although I have only ever been called one other time YEARS ago and I never left the main room to go into the courtroom. So it was definitely an experience! It just... wasn't the right case for me.
Yes. Goats. And because UCD is an ag school? I don't really know lol
And I think it is on RANTS? Wherever I posted that I had jury duty in the first place. There or the chat topic!
-enjoys being nommed on by - I am so yummy, so yummy, yummy, yummy xD
And I imagined them walking through the office hallways dumping dung everywhere xD Sounds like fun, though. Like weird stuff without any purpose ^^ Who planned that? And... why? xD
Yeah, okay, it is similar over here then. I have never been called in and I know next to noone who has been called in for jury duty. But then again I don't think there is a jury for every crime over here and then there aren't that many crimes here in general, as far as I know of.
[/img]
Yea, me too. But boss assured me that the goats are not permitted in the building, haha. And usually big events that involve things like goats or bands are high maintenance and very annoying. No idea why it was being planned.
Ah! Well I think in California it may be more frequent because we like to sue people and incarcerate. I know that the laws vary from state to state, was telling me last night that in Massachusetts employers are required to pay you if you are on jury duty, but that isn't the case in CA. :(
Everyone sues everyone for everything -_- he looked at me funny, sue him! She called me a dirty word, sueee! This coffee wasn't hot enough, sueeee! It was too hot and the label was too small telling me it was hot, suuuuuuuue!
YOU HAVE AN INTERN?
I want an intern.
I suppose I do have minions though, and that's acceptable.
Yea no kidding, this country is whack. LOL
Yea I have like 5 of them.
... Well, we do. But I am in charge of them. MINIONS!
Good luck with goat day! ^^ I'd love some photos xD
Oh, by law employers need to keep paying you while you're on jury duty over here, as well. And you can't loose your job over it neither, no matter how long it takes. Like there are some cases that take months. It is horrible that you won't get paid for the time you are in court. -hugs-
I'm off preparing dinner now, but I'll check back later. It was nice talking to you two and being nommed on :D -happy zombie dance-
