That's because the blaster had(has?) custom code and challengers were(are?) made to not respond to CC. Ryan found a work around for certain situations where you want weapons working for challengers but not users, see Cursed Effigy the Tormented, but it really wasn't worth it to do it for RB.

I did get GE 1x Sanddragon twice and Prodigy 2x...Prodigy gave me in total 10,7k exp soooo I would end up with 14k if I wasnt able to defeat him yet 😮 I am soooo glad I can!!!

Poor him... this was his day of BQs and so many challengers were either medium/easy or challengers he's not ready for. Oh well at least he earned something, maybe his next day will be better.

I havent had much luck either but I assumed that cause amulets were down to like 325k in shops that most people were having luck :P

I don't think it is so much that the Mage amulet rate has increased as much as it is that more people are doing quests than usual thanks to those New Years tokens.
