With these wins being posted, I am curious as to how much trouble Claire would have getting 5 wins. Sounds like it will be easy for UltimateFriend to get 10 or more wins though, but then again, she got 5 wins on Baenwurath without my best scroll set.

Now that I got to fighting this island monster, I can see why it is easier than Furious Meatslab. It kind of feels like an impossible challenger version of Rekindled Forj in that it starts out with weak weapons and then generates some mid strength weapons, and finally some strong weapons. I have the feeling that to get a win with Claire, I am going to need as many of my bases covered as possible.

Yep and that end freeze that get's thrown out near the end. I ended up using 2 parched and 2 crit on my main attackers and on another attacker I added a few water def mods.

I am on my 4th win with UltimateFriend as I type and I decided to switch out the mods on my cronus from 4 singed to 2 parched/2 singed, in conjunction with M-Weapon having 4 parched just because I saw the blessing drop in several instances last time.

Do you know if any of his early weapons can freeze?

I don't think so, but I'm not 100% sure on that, it was always near the end of the battle.

Yes. I got iced once or three times early in battles when blessings dropped. Luckily he didn't me as hard those times so I was able to withstand the blows. It's a different story later in the battle. I don't recall seeing any text about him getting stronger, but he sure seemed to.

I think the weapons that freeze do water damage, if that helps.

Going for win 5, I've noticed that Combusken (or whatever that island is called) froze me with Tidal Wave + Ash Plume. I am going to guess it is the Tidal Wave and Tsunami that can freeze.

That would fit with what I saw. I decided to try one more battle and he froze me on the opening move with Hidden Currents (x2), so you can add that to the list. :)

btw -- Hidden Currents did 13 dark each (26 dark total) and 6-12 water (18 total) blocked 7-10 water (17 total) and healed for 100 hp each (so 200 total)

EDIT: Frozen again with Hidden Currents and/or Tidal Wave 2 turns later. EDIT: And AGAIN with Tidal Wave/ Tsunami 2 turns after the last time. This is getting to be a nasty habit.

I've just made note about hidden currents freezing. I didn't notice any variable defense though (may have to keep note of that next time I fight that thing).
