It's just a sad situation all around - but it can't be changed now, so yeah, all we can do is cross our fingers and hope we've hit rock bottom and things can only go up from here. Maybe he'll be less terrible than his campaign seemed.

Weekend has been good do far - went shopping yesterday to pick up all the winter essentials - gloves, scarves and a new coat - it's getting to be pretty cold in the mornings and nights :/ It's dark when I leave work now, boo :(

With the way the world has been going on politics, who knows, really? First Brexit, now Trump! The world has gone mad. I'm just glad the Canadian elections went down awhile ago and there's no election on the horizon - also, there's not really that huge feeling of discontent here (as far as I know), which spurred everything :S Hopefully France is the same!

Stay strong! Hopefully he's surrounded by a whole lot of people who won't let him get away with terrible things. Being a president doesn't make you ruler of the world - there's still lots of processes and approvals etc etc in place. hugs

I feel the same. The first two days after the election, I felt numb and overwhelmingly scared. The fog is clearing now, and I'm in wait and see mode.

Yeah, I hear the Canadian prime minister (I think it's pm and not president?) is pretty good :o France is a mess. I don't think there's been anything in the past couple months, but between the magasine shooting, the concert shooting, the truck incident on the 14th of July that killed like 10 kids, the bombings... The next elections are less and less likely to go sensibly.

I know, that's the most alarming part - that they have control of the senate & house, too. DT is just one man, but he has complete party backing. We can only hope there's some establishment repubs who have sense and hate DT as much as the general, reasonable public does :/ The worst part of all of this is it seems so obvious now he only wanted to win, he didn't want to be president.

Haha, he's well liked, but is kinda more known for being 'pretty' than anything else. Which, it could definitely, definitely be worse.

Yeah, terrible tragedies rile up people looking for someone to blame, unfortunately :( The problem with that is it's never so simple - blaming any one race or group never works out well. The answer to hate is never more hate.

My weekend was good :D Busy, but good. I had to babysit friday and saturday so that was a bit crazy but Sunday I went to a football game and got to watch my favorite team play! And lose. Lol but that's ok because are seats were awesome.

She is a border collie lab mix. She's about 35 pounds, so a bit on the smaller side. And thanks! It's mine too! Dark green and baby pink are my favorites.

Ahhhh but I love to bask in my laziness. NFL stands for national football league. But our version of football, not your version of football. WHY we had to go and change football to soccer I will never understand. We do so many things backwards here xD

I thought so too! And the proceeds for the bandanas actually go towards a charity organization that rescues german shepherds so my money is going towards a good cause as well! Always shop local!

True!! Yeah the town I went to college in was very focused on shopping local so I just kind of adopted that habit since I've moved back to a big city.

True, fear rarely leads to good things :( It's just a terrible situation. Fingers crossed that the calm, rational populaiton wins out! The saddest thing about US election is that more people were reasonable, they just have an archaic electoral system in place built for a time when a quarter of the population was slaves :/

Both! My family and I have the same favorite team and since I live in the city that the football team plays in for this state, all my friends are HUGE fans. It's fun c: Nothing I love more than pretty weather, drinking beer, and watching football :p

Hey! How are you? I'm sorry I've been offline for the past weekish; I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing, and now Pokemon Sun. Is anyone else playing? I'm also considering making a Harvest pet because they're so lovely, but I don't have a huge attachment to any of the current options. Maybe a Jollin, but I'm not sure yet.
