It's hourly, yeah. But I negotiated slightly higher than they originally offered C:
Nice! I get hourly too. It's actually nice because of overtime ;)
I doubt I'll ever hit overtime, unless one of my staff are sick and I have to cover an extra day some time. How much are you working?!
Only 20-30 hours a week lol. I don't want to be working more than that right now. I just meant overtime is nice because with salary you don't really get that.
Oh, haha! I thought you were working overtime, yourself!
Yeah.. but often salary comes with some kind of benefits. I'll be making WAY more than I am now, though.. since right now my shifts get cut a lot because I hardly have clients. When I take over her job I'm at the top of seniority so I get booked first so it's SUPER unlikely I'll have my days cut.
No, not right now. I did over the summer though. My paychecks were beautiful - I'm trying to just take a mental break right now lol. I'm just doing this job for my resume. I'm actually signing up for open houses for a few masters programs I'm looking in to. My first one is next weekend! Yeah.. that is true. I haven't thought about job benefits yet because I'm still on my mother's insurance (praise da lawd) since I'm still intending on returning to school. That's nice! I need a day at the spa haha
Yep, I really love what I do. My company does this auction for charity each year, and I was named the person on the committee in my department and it's taking up tons of time. But it's feel good stuff, at least!
Pretty much the same for me (took a break over the summer), minus logging on for dailies here and there. That bathhouse one was the bane of my existence, because I could never get to the good stuff, because I'd miss a day, but I got one good run going now.
Master's... that's exciting :) Do you have a program in mind?
Honestly, I feel bad for him too, but I needed to get out; that job was was more draining to me even though I work more hours at my job now! 0:) Being a freelancer is way better for me, anyway - they get paid more because they're paid per article, which I can do fast, and I don't have to deal with my nitpicky boss, because new guy is responsible for edits (sorry not sorry). Whereas as an employee, I was paid a fixed salary. Since I have another fixed salary from my regular job, not making a living through freelancing is fine by me.
I know, training is like 5-6 hours :( But since I'm not on as much as I used to be, it least I'm not missing much.
Where did you move - the UK? I remember something about that vaguely? (Proof it's been too long haha) And yay for a schedule, I know what you mean though. Uni was pretty directionless with a 15 hour work week. Not good for procrastinators such as me.
P.S. chemistry is HARD. It's the only course I ever almost failed in my whole life! clings to 56% pass proudly
Busy is good for me yes! I just hate losing touch with you guys. 3 day response is better than 3 months though, right, haha?
Like (hi! sup?) I also have extras in my shop 'holidaze' and older morostide extras from previous years in my gallery (the dusty attic) if anyone wants to trade.

Hah, I'll say. ^^; I'm certainly not the most active member. A product of my ambiversion. I'm alright though, enjoying a few chill days. How about you? ^^
Aw man, that sucks. D: I do on rare occasion get migraine headaches myself, but I know that having them as a condition is a completely different ball game. I'm sorry you have to put up with that. What items are you missing? o:

3 days is WAY better, yes! Fill me in on anything else that's new with you!
I'm well! Just having a lazy evening this evening C:
Oooh. Open houses! How many are you doing? Is it mostly a visit the campus type thing or will you meet with potential supervisors? Take advantage of that insurance while you can! I SO miss being able to go to the dentist for free!
Oh that sounds like it would be a fun job though! At least I would really enjoy doing it lol. And yeah I still forget the bathhouse even now when I'm logging on everyday ;-; I finally joined the ping group and got 10 CSC the other day and was pretty pumped. I have several. I'm attending open houses these next few months so I'll pick a favorite.. but most likely will still apply to all of them anyways xD I'm scared I won't get accepted anywhere.
Just a few of the rag dolls and a plushie I think. Not too many! I'm upset though because one of the food achievements was for morostide candy but it's with candy from a previous year ;-; I didn't realize previous years goodies weren't given out
Right now I'm signed up for 3. I'm trying to figure 2 more into my schedule. It's just hard because I work everyday but Thursdays and Sundays. And both! You have the option of touring the campus (which I'll probably still do) and also meet with the heads of the graduate department and also specific heads of the nutrition graduate program. Exciting c: And yeah idk if I'll ever go get my teeth cleaned once I get my own insurance XD
Eee so exciting to make some connections in your field and find a potential place for a masters! Would you be looking at starting in January or next fall?
Haha, it's SO expensive. I'd love to be covered for massage, too!
Ah, that's awesome! c: Hah, well of course it's not really evening anymore, but still.
Nice! I'm actually not too sure of what I still need haha. I never bothered to look at the full list of items. I'll have to go through them individually now and see if I'm missing anything. Ah, that's unfortunate. D: I assume you're talking about candy from two and/or more years ago? I'd say that's pretty expensive to get from user shops now, isn't it?

Oh definitely for next fall xD Its probably too late for applications for the January semester. WHYYYY is it so expensive ;-; It's so nice and relaxing.
I didn't look at past events items. That would take too much effort xD Yeah there's a few that are pretty expensive so I might just give up on that achievement lol
Hah, guess I couldn't blame you if you did. Some of those achievements are just way too costly. I decided to go a little retrograde on things myself and buy up some of the pumpkins that aren't available this year to help me complete my collection... I didn't have many to get, but some of them were a bit pricey. Most of them actually weren't as bad as I'd expected though.
Forgive me if my side of the conversation gets a little disjointed, I've really tired at the moment. Just got back from voting after a night without sleep. ^^;

I think you know the gist haha ;) I love my (not so new anymore) job. Lots of projects going on, at all times - the big one is an auction for charity which is pretty cool. I've also started freelancing with my old work for some extra money, not that I really need it, but hey, might as well, right? Freelancing is nice because it's per article pay and done, no rewrites etc. :)
What's new with you? Are you still working at the same spa?
Yep, I love it; there's always something new going on :) The bathhouse is a pain, for sure. The ping group is a great idea. I think the rewards only get good after 2 weeks or so in a row. I'm trying to get some referral points, because that's not happening any other way for me :P That's awesome! It's good to have a few options. But if it's something you're passionate about, I'm sure not getting in anywhere won't be a problem!

As long as it isn't too much for you, then yes do it!
I am.. kind of. HA! It's been QUITE a year of job changes for me. I'm still with the same company but I'm at their downtown location now as opposed to the one I started at. They've asked me to become manager while the manager is on maternity leave. So from now until she leaves I bounce between the two locations taking clients and learning her job and then in January I'll be 100% downtown C:
They told me it would be temporary so this month or next will probably be the last, but we'll see - it's not a huge time suck, but it does mean less free time.
That's amazing! That was your end goal, to be manager, no? And do you prefer to work downtown, or at the other location?

Free time is important!
It was! I think! It's a little scary, but I think that's probably a good thing. I like both locations - they're quite different. The downtown one is half the size of the other, but the clients are WAY more loyal which I like! But I also like the buzz of the busier place. Not unhappy with the move, that's for sure!
