I don't watch english dubbed anime either. I'm too used to subtitles hahaha. I was a big fan of anime too and it's the reason why I started drawing actually.
Yes it sucks ...
Not anytime soon probably hahaha. I don't have the money to buy a new one. I told myself it's the first thing I'm going to buy once I start to earn money. (And then video games the second lol)
Ah, well that's good.
It's usually because either one of her medications gets changed or she herself decides to start messing with them. In this case though I really don't blame her - one of her psych meds was causing her some kind of alarming heart problems.
Ah. Yeah, I don't know from experience but I'd say that one is difficult from all sides, even if the the individual were more appreciative. It's an unfortunate situation to be in, to say the least. No worries though about not wanting to explain, I understand.
Hahahaha, sometimes I think it pays to not be a critic! People tend to like you more. xD I know I've kinda gotten on my friends' nerves sometimes because I have such specific tastes. I'm mostly critical though so I can know what I do and do not like for future reference, and for conversation's sake. I tend to like to debating with the willing and can't stand when I'm not opinionated enough to keep up. Sort of a weird dilemma really. I do really love some cliches, though. ;b
Nice! ^^ I hope you guys thoroughly enjoy your movie~
I'm okay. Had a pretty awesome days yesterday actually, haha. I was trying to do some trading on another site yesterday in hopes of getting some of my top priority wishlist items, which are all extremely old so they're vastly unwanted but super rare. The person I'd offered the trade to though wound up being super nice, and wound up giving me more of my top priority items as gifts. I wound up squeeing about it for probably an hour hahaha. I wish I could have better expressed my appreciation to him, but he was Japanese and Google translate is terrible. If I had tried it would have just come out as unreadable garbly-goop and would have possibly wound up sounding offensive. ^^; Trading is a really prominent thing on there too. Because of the way the site is set up, if you want an item about the only way you're going to be able to get it is through trading. Things like shops don't really exist there, and most items are only very temporarily available. I really like it, honestly. It makes it so the site has a lot more community to it.
Nice! ^^ Was there a specific anime that inspired you to start drawing, or was it more of a general thing?

Oh, sometimes laptops go on sale when it's around the time that school starts!
And oooh, what video games did you have in mind?
I would definitely buy video games if I started to earn my own money too!
Oh, I see. It's not good to mess around with medication like that. My mom had a friend that has some blood pressure issues and she went to see the doctor about it. I'm pretty sure the doctor told the friend to eat the medicine regularly, but nope, she didn't listen. She only ate half of the required amount if she was feeling okay that day. But the only reason she was feeling okay was because she took the meds earlier...and blood pressure is not something that you can cure, you HAVE to eat the meds. Her explanation for why she didn't eat the required amount was that she didn't want to be eating too much medicine...Like how the HECK does that even make sense? It's not like you're overdosing on it (because it's a prescription), and like you have a CONDITION. THAT REQUIRES YOU TO EAT MEDICINE SO THAT IT DOESN'T GET WORSE. I seriously don't understand...
Well, everyone has their own specific tastes. I don't mind if a friend tells me about what they like or don't like, but if they tell me that my taste is "wrong", I get seriously angry. I mean, everyone can like different things. What makes your preferences better than mine?
HAHA I like how you used the term "garbly-goop". Very good descriptor! I would probably say the same :) That's super nice of him! And I'm glad that you wound up getting the things that you wanted ^^ Now you've piqued my interest, haha. What's the name of the site?
Generally, no, but in this case I'm kinda with her on this one. As I said one of her medications was causing her some pretty notable heart problems - she kept having palpitations and her ankles were swelling and everything. Frankly even I would rather her be psychotic then take the medication that was doing that to her. Luckily though she's been doing well to stay pretty aware of what's going on and she's actually been listening to us when we let her know that we can tell something is wrong, so she's trying to get things worked out. It's definitely a switch, and I'm hoping for the best.
Uh, that one I'm gonna have to disagree with a bit. If you're on a medication for something that is physically wrong with you enough to effect your ability to live and function, and that medication works without causing any problems, then yeah it's probably best to stay on it. If something is wrong though, you are going to be the first one to know about it. Doctors do not always know what is best, and a lot of times they are looking out for their own personal, financial gain more than your well-being. Generally speaking it seems like when people are doing some kind of nonsense that doesn't make sense, like your friend wanting to reduce her medication even though it helps, there might be some kind of concern they have which for one reason or another they just haven't felt like bringing up to others. Granted, your friend did say that she doesn't want to be on too many medications... Maybe she has a reason for saying that like some side-effect she doesn't like, or risk she's worried about. Maybe there's some kind of family history involved. Naturally I don't really know that for sure, it just seems to be a general pattern that when things aren't adding up it's because there's more to the story. Probably not always, but usually.
Case and point, my mother was put on two psych meds and one of them was causing alarming side-effects. I myself have been on prescription medication for Epilepsy before, but instead of side-effects the medicine literally just did nothing for me. In my case, my neurologist thought my mother was bat-shit crazy and didn't believe a word she said when she was telling him repeatedly that I was having seizures. He put me on the medication mostly as a token gesture, just to be able to say he was doing something. Later on we found out I actually had a brain tumor which was causing those seizures, and thanks to my neurologist's negligence I almost died to it. It took my mother pointing out the malformation in the brain scans for him to realize she wasn't full of crap.
Simply put, you are the one living in your body, so you can be a lot more acutely aware of what's going on with it than a doctor can. I do not believe, especially with my experience, that you should just trust doctors implicitly. Or medications, for that matter. Those things have warnings on them for a reason. After that fiasco of mine I've started refusing to ever go back on medications - about the only ones I'll takes now are ibuprofen, aspirin, and loratadine for allergies.
As for the tastes things, I agree. I like debates, not arguments. Contrary to popular belief, actual debates are conducted with both or all parties having respect for one another. It's simply an exercise in understanding one another and expanding one's own views. It can be an incredible experience when it's done right. ^^
Hahahaha~ I'm glad it could entertain you. xD The name of the site is @games, the whole thing is completely in Japanese but there is a pretty tight English community on there. There used to be an English branch of the site called TinierMe, if you've heard of it, but it shut down a couple of years ago. If you wanted to join I'd be happy to help you through it~ I've been setting up a bunch of newbies guides with translations and explinations, but that's still vastly incomplete.

They do yeah. I'll have to persuade my mom on that though hahaha.
Sims 4 first definitely. I'm a huge fans of the Sims series haha looks at my HA so that's what I'm gonna buy first. Then probably some random PS games hahaha. I could also use some more pokemon games. I actually wonder if there's a way you could buy a GBC or GBA since ours broke a looong time ago.
Ohh, I see. Well I hope she gets her meds sorted out soon! :D
And no, it's not for any other reason. It's that she's kind of old, so being old as it is, she doesn't want to become the type of old person that has to be on a lot of medication. That's what she said at least. Also, I think that if she's openly talking about her condition, there's no reason for her to lie as to why she said she stopped taking it.
Oh wow, doctors should be taking all the necessary means to find out what's wrong. And until then, they can't just outright say that nothing is wrong. I'm glad that your mother was very persistent in that respect! She's a good mother ^^
OMGSH I play that on my phone! But it's in English, haha It's called "CocoPPa Play", and I'm not too sure if it's the same game.
HAHA I noticed the Sims thing on your HA! :D Oh, what PS do you have?
As for GBA, you can download emulators! :D The most popular site is emuparadise Oh yesss, Pokemon games are good! I have yet to play it though (or the newest games, anyway) because I don't own a 3DS. I also like to play Rune Factory, and Final Fantasy. ^^ Do you play them?
Yes the diamond thingy hahaha. We sadly only have a PS1 and 2. Things got hectic financially when my sister and I were in college so we never bothered buying 'unnecessary' stuff.
I have emulators as well actually hahaha. I miss playing in a device though instead of a computer. I don't have a 3DS too so I haven't played the newer ones. The last one I played (and never finished) was Platinum. Oh Rune Factory! I haven't played that but isn't that the Harvest Moon-ish game? And I've played a lot of Final Fantasy. I haven't finished them though hahaha. The thing about games is that you have to continuously play them xD I always end up forgetting what I was supposed to do in a place or what I was supposed to do next because I would stop playing for a while. From what I've played though, FF9 is my fave.
Ah, it does make more sense if she's older. I wasn't thinking an older person at all haha.
I don't know that I would go so far as to say she's a good mother hah, but yeah in that regard I'm pretty thankful to her.
Yeah, it's the same game. I thought about mentioning that one but I figured the chances of you knowing about it were pretty low haha. CocoPPa Play Is the English version of Pocketland, which is just the phone game created by GCreast/@games. Although I personally find the phone app to be..... really not the most fun thing in the world, I'd still say Pocketland is a ton better than CocoPPa simply for the fact that you can use the same account for Pocketland and @games so the items and everything are shared. You really miss the full experience with just playing CocoPPa.
The one thing I will say however is that you can't download the Pocketland app, because it's region-locked. There are ways around that of course, but the easier way is to just play the browser version. It's still set up for the phone and with the display it very much shows, but you can play it in a browser. I'd say they were pretty merciful by setting that up for us hahaha
Edit: Gosh I'm glad @games is a dead account, otherwise I'd be accidentally pinging them a bunch.
Hey! ^^ What's up?

-nods- I see, I see.
Yeah, I totally understand that! Consoles don't really overheat like a laptop does D: Controls are also hard to get used to on a laptop
YEAAH Rune Factory is like HM, but there's the added component of battling, and forging your own tools and weapons! It's really fun ^^ Yeah, I played Dragon Question IX for a while, but then I stopped playing because of this OP boss near the end of the game. And when I went back to it, I was like what I am doing again?
Hmm, never played FF9, I like to download free games -cough- That's the great thing about the NDS, is that there's an R4 card that allows you to download free games online. With the new console, however, no such thing D:
Ohh, whoops, I should have stated that from the beginning D: I see. I'm too intimidated by all the Japanese! D: Plus, Subeta has a handful of things to do as it is, so I don't think I'm going to be playing D:
OMGSH yeaah I didn't realize that at first, so it's good that you're not randomly pinging them, hahaha
Don't worry about it, we got around to it in the end. ^^
I think all of us are really intimidated by the Japanese at first, because we go to a new site and we expect to be able to read it to get around. You get used to it though, and learn how to rely mostly on pictures and placements. That's part of the reason I'm trying to make an in-depth guide though, complete with translated screenshots. I need to make one for how to sign up and log in and all of that too. I keep putting that one off, even though it's one of the most important ones. ^^; If you do want to try @games out, then here are my newbie guides which I will be continuing to work on, if not that's perfectly okay. ^^ I can understand having too much to do already haha. http://sns.atgames.jp/community/168009
Edit: AND I DID IT AGAIN while we were even talking about it!

Ooh good luck with the guide! It looks pretty good so far! Have you learned Japanese before?
OMGSH I made Japadogs today! It was soooo gooood It's really overpriced to buy it, but if you make it yourself, it's cheap and tastes good! Have you tried 'em?
Eh, not officially. I know a couple of things from my own free time studying, which I really ought to do more of, but I haven't learned from anything like an official class. Most of the translations I'll be giving in my guides are based on translations programs, the function in which the text serves, and help from people who know more Japanese than I do. And in some cases that actually includes getting help from multi-lingual Japanese people themselves haha.
That's the first time I've heard of those, but they do look tasty. :v What all did you use for it?

Ohh, I see. Good luck with it! :D
Regular hot dog buns, chicken sausages, mayonnaise, seaweed, teriyaki sauce.
Ahh sorry I can't reply too much. Paresthesia is back D:
Thanks! Mm, that really does sound good haha. I'll definitely give it a shot!
No worries! If you want to wait to respond (now or any point in the future) until it dies down, I'll understand. ^^ I would much rather wait than have you push through that kind of discomfort just to respond.
That being said, (when you're feeling better,) I don't know about you but with my local stores already selling candy corn I'm already getting excited for Halloween haha. Do you still celebrate it?

Hi! Sorry it took me long to reply. I've been busy lately. Plus we had a few episodes of power interruptions. The rain is really taking it's toll in here. How are you?
Yup. Everytime I play with emulators in my laptop, my pinky was feeling... tired? numb? dead? lol I don't know the how to say it in english. xD
I feel like I should really play rune factory now. Gotta look out for that game when I start collecting hehehe
Oh I didn't know that about the DS. I really want one though not sure about the new ones but a friend of mine has one and has been ranting about how great it was and such. He's a big nintendo nerd xD
Yes, you should definitely make them! Let me know what you think, haha
I'm not too fond of scary things, actually. Although it was nice to go trick-or-treating when I was younger. So much candy O_O So to answer your question, I don't celebrate Halloween D: (Plus, parents aren't really the type to like to celebrate these kind of events)
Oh, I was meaning to ask, what language do you speak? YEAAAH PLAY IT! And if you actually do, let me know what you think of the game! :)
HAHA I would really like the new one too, the control pad for movement isn't the "+" shape anymore, it's like 360°, which is really awesome, and I feel like it won't break as easily. I abused that + control pad playing mariokart, hahaha So now it's really broken, and you have to press on the control reaaaally hard for it to work
Filipino is my main language. :) hahaha sure! I'll look out for it! Gotta buy my sims first though haha.
Ahhh an analog stick? In my case it isn't the controls that got broken. I don't know whose fault it was but the display broke so you can't see anything hahaha.
Ohh I see! HAHA of course, gotta buy the Sims first!
YES analog stick! Much nicer and better to use Oh D: That's worse than the situation I have going on, 'cause I can still use it, but it's just a crappy experience, haha Maybe it got soaked in water?
No worries! It happens sometimes. I hope the rain starts to clear up for you soon. o: Eh, I could definitely be better, but that much isn't going to change for a while. As I was telling Claire though, thanks to stores selling things like candy corn already I'm getting pretty excited for Halloween and the Fall season haha. What about you?
Will do! It's going to have to wait a bit though, I've not been feeling very great lately.
Aww. That's a shame. My family isn't big on celebrations either, but I definitely am. I will not let my family's ways ruin my fun haha. Though I don't- I mean I do still go trick-or-treating with my little brother when he wants to go, even though I'm 22 I look like I'm 12 or something so I can get away with it just fine, but the more fun part for me is the costumes. I'd love to get into making my own costumes, but even as it is I can dress up in ways that make it really hard for other people to tell who I am which is a lot of fun~ I do love horror and stuff too though, so naturally that adds to it~ ^^

Aw D: I'm feeling a little unmotivated and tired myself. Are you down with the flu? Or just mentally not feeling great? Either way, I hope you feel a lot better soon! :)
HAHA I could totally pass as a 12-year old too! My whole family says I have a baby face, haha And it's definitely fun! But I just get so pooped after walking for an hour or two D: Ah, I see. So I'm assuming you like to watch scary movies too?
