Morning! Being used to working less and having a full 5 day week is rough. It feels like you have no free time. I'm experiencing something similar, since my boss requested I come into the office every day for my last 2 weeks. I really miss my work from home days!

That's true - you pretty much have to in order to remain competitive. It just sucks for that the amount of experience/education just creeps higher and higher, in order to get a decent job.

I bought a Mac when I went to uni, because I saw everyone else using them and they looked really cool! I had to buy it myself, so my parents had no say - though they thought I was insane, because they're way more expensive than PCs, but I didn't care. And now, silly me, I'm hooked. 95% of the docs on my computer are work things I won't be taking. I save everything personal on my google cloud, and the rest I can dump on USB sticks.

I'm okay (not great) with this limit. I can make it work grudgingly, though when I lose GA, it'll be annoying for sure :/ I've noticed that quests do seem to go a lot faster now, though I've had a few pages where I get a white screen, but overall it is better.

I didn't realize that the books/movie world was so English-centric :o I kinda assumed most countries/languages had their whole own set of literature/movies and I just didn't know about them because I'm a sole English speaker.

I like the black! I always like the ones that are harder to find, somehow.

Honestly, I've been so busy with finishing up/training at my old job that I haven't given much thought to celebrating the new one! But apparently, when I get my first big new cheque at my new job, I owe my parents dinner, because I'm making bank, haha. I'm definitely going to be treating myself to some new work clothes and a shopping trip in my days off though!

I'm good too :) Hoping Vesnali starts soon, so I can enjoy it a bit, before I start my new job.

Yeah. Well they're going to increace it still, so it'll be all right :D /optimism ftw I'm shoving everything in my vault now. It's awkward though because I quickstock once to wardrobe in case there's anything I don't have in there once to my shop in case there are any doubles, then to vault. A bit more moving shit around you know?

We do. I mean we have great French authors, a few great French movies, some good french movies. TV series pretty much zero. There are more good spanish series than french ones. But of those great French authors, not a lot of them are fantasy writers. Like we don't have the equivalent of tolkein in French. We have lots of adventure/action/historic novels but yeah. The biggest gap is movies and tv shows. Essentially we get all the american ones... dubbed XD

It's a real problem for people who don't speak english well to find shows/movies on the internet WITH subtitles in the right language. And well, there are a lot more american/english singers than anthing else. If a band in France wants to be really successful they have to sing in English because otherwise there isn't a wide enough audience :o

Most files transfer between Mac/PC. There are a few programs can/can't be installed on one or the other. But pretty much everything I use is compatible with both these days. I was looking at my options, and I'm actually considering getting an iPad Pro (since it has a keyboard) and forgoing a laptop! I'll have to go into a store and test it out before I decide. I'm a bit nervous about not having a laptop at home, but it looked really cool online, and I'll have a desktop at work.

I try to do the same thing when I finish quests (mass move everything to wardrobe that is, and usually get like one sad item, haha.) I imagine it's extra annoying taking everything out of your shop and moving it multiple times :/ But hey, at least you can mass remove a page of stuff at a time now?

Interesting how language can be a limitation. I've never had an issue finding stuff to keep me occupied, and thus never considered how other languages felt! Out of curiosity I looked up how many people speak English worldwide, and Google says it's only about 335 million :o That's barely more than the population of the US, yet it's so dominant?

Canadian TV is pretty much the same. I can't think of a single Canadian show that I watch haha. I just assumed that's because we have the American juggernaut right next door and no language barrier to force us to make our own.

Mh, my sister has the PC version of that I believe. It's pretty cool, and a fun toy but it has it's limitations. Hers only has one usb thing, and that is a serious pain in the arse. Yeah, but the US has the biggest entertainment industry XD I mean everything is like warner bros or paramount or disney or pixar or whatever and they're all american XD Yeah, but they dub/subtitle everything in other countries :o When I say other countries I really mean France and Spain. Probably germany and Italy too... The audience has to be big enough for it to be woth dubbing. I know the sweedish don't dub their movies, but then again most sweedes speak a decent English XD

In chemistry if you don't do a phd it can be very hard to find a job that's remotly interesting :o

Eh, for the most part I've just been trying to prevent myself from escaping the world again, and doing my best to balance this web thing (and my nerves toward it), learning to drive, emotionally supporting my best friend and brother who have both had their own crises lately... Things really could be better lately.

Thank you. Eh, no, not really. My best friend was temporarily homeless in an attempt to escape abuse from her mother and my suicidal little brother was/still is trying to escape an abusive relationship. Nooooot really fun at all haha
