One dainty snowball coming up! Seriously though, the 25 is only 6 days away, it's not that far away, and by complaining about snowballs you only make a target of yourself for people who don't care what team they pelt. When I discovered most of my friends signed up for team Dolly, I deliberately and with malice aforethought chose team Tobias, and as you can see by my HA's condition, I am happily outnumbered.

I did give serious thought, for about 30 seconds, about not being able to show off my CWs and other nice wearables. In the end however, snow melts, and I for one am having fun. I can't auto refresh like some of the folks who have thrown over 40,000 snowballs, but I enjoy picking fun snowball shapes and whacking my friends with them. If I could afford it everyone would have moose antlers!!! [edit] Yay! thank you whoever threw them. I love my moose antlers (it's almost a shame they do melt, and an hour from now nobody will know what I'm talking about :D )

I think people have a point (which had been mentioned prior to this event, actually) when they say the snowballs take very long to melt, but otherwise I'm just going to sit and wait a few days until it's over... even if I don't happen to get the cute snowballs all the time, I'll survive XD

To be fair I can see the OP's PoV, I know of many people who were trying to pass Christmas CWs (which typically look silly when worn after Christmas), but that could probably be helped lots by shorter melting time ^^;

I think I'd be a little unamused if this event lasts over a week, but for a random selfish reason that's not snowballs: every year I spend the Vesnali week running around like mad to get enough coins / retribute all the flowers I'm given and it's always a pain as it's so short ;-; lol.

I've not been spending quite enough time on Subeta (because of work) to care too much and when I am online I just giggle at my ruined HA's face, but I can understand people's annoyance who just want to make pretty HAs with new CWs/new wears. Because if I were them, I would be kind of annoyed too. :P

It is getting kind of old. It was funny for a while, but there's really no point in doing anything with your HA now because no one's going to see it until January.

That, and the event itself is a little too simplistic for my tastes. You just refresh the links to buy and throw snowballs. There's no restocking or strategy to it. Two weeks of this feels excessive, and I can see myself hating this by the end. 😕

I always enjoy throwing snowballs during Luminaire but at this rate, I never want to see another snowball again lmao

You knew what you were getting into when you signed up. If you opt out then I think you should get absolutely nothing. The whole point is to throw snowballs and get snowballs thrown at you and "ruin" your avatar. I've been sticking with 1 snowball and that's the Owl Snowball because I love birds and it's not as annoying as other snowballs. How can you be mad when you have a cute little owl sitting on your head?

I will admit, it is getting old after doing this for days though. If there was something to break up the same-old same-old with it then that'd be good.

CW's don't expire, so you've plenty of time to make an avatar later. This only lasts for so long.

I don't mind the event, but I wish it only lasted a week, kind of gets boring and fast unless there's more going to be added? Probably not.

If the staff could say when the event is meant to end, that would be great. I'd like to participate a little bit, but I'd rather just do it for the last few days instead of being doused with snowballs for a week+

It was posted on the 17th and she said there was 2 weeks left so I guess the end of the month :(

Don't get me wrong, I love the snowballs on my HA. In fact, I made this outfit so it would work WITH the snowballs. I love that. But the refreshing and throwing was boring after the first few HOURS. Add in that the site can't handle it (LOL at the error message of "we didn't expect there to be thousands of new items being added and then being removed from the system so quickly." SERIOUSLY? The staff is ALWAYS underestimating the userbase when it comes to events and us killing servers, and that message alone told me that staff hadn't thought this through), you can buy snowballs faster than you can throw them, and we can't just F5 this anymore... ugh, no thanks. I am just buying a ton of snowballs for hoarding now. Let's hope the Recycle Beast will take these at some point. XD I mean, I am still throwing them too, but I just don't have the concentration to click refresh every five seconds for more than a minute before I get bored and have to do other things. :C

Why is this lasting two weeks long, though? That just seems a little excessive for this event, especially when it's fairly clear who's going to win already. ;;

(As much as I would love for it to happen, I'm pretty doubtful that Tobias can make up nearly 800k snowballs.)

It isn't by the total snowballs, but the average. The team scores are next to the snowball count, and currently, Tobias is kicking Dolly butt with a 15 point lead.

Oh, it's by the average? I thought it was by the total score, haha!
