Matthew turned up at the pub, turning the corner to find at least 50 men surrounding Avery and Tressa, two very tall ones in the center towering over most of the others. Matthew strode towards the two girls and the two men. "As of now Rous has not payed us yet, however I feel it's safe to assume he will as soon as he comes back from his mission of his, considering we just took the rush of taking out nearly an entire pack of drakes, alpha male and all." He then gestured to the entire crowd, "If it's action and adventure you seek, Rous is the captain for you." With that, he simply started to walk into the pub. "If you've got any questions ask either these two or me. I'll be in the back."

After gathering up a clean set of clothes, stuffing them and a small pack of coins into a bag that she slung over her shoulder making sure her blade was strapped in it’s holster. It needed sharpened and she needed some time to play and practice, and possibly buy it a playmate. But first, the search was for a proper shower. Jack could still feel the sticky drake blood on her, or was it her blood, either way it needed washed off. Carefully ducking past those on the ship still working, the short girl headed for dry land. Still feeling the motion of the ship under her feet as she walked down the dock, a feeling she was sure was going to just become daily life.
Finding her way to local in, she turned on the charm and dropped a couple coins down with the young guy at the front letting her use their bathing room. Carefully making her way up and keeping her things close, Jack took a moment to fill a small basin to soak her clothes in before washing herself. The trickling of the sun warmed water felt good against her skin. Her hair being the hardest to clean, the tips of her dreads now caked in deep red. “This probably would have been easier just jumping into the surrounding water†She thought to herself as she finally finished. Putting on a pair of cleaner clothes made her feel warmer as she relaced her boots before gathering her belongings again making her way out.
It was growing late by the time she made it back on to the streets, target practice started to seem like it was going to have to be an after thought. Wandering back in the direction of the dock and ship, she heard a loud whistle, turning the corner by the pub she saw the masses gather. Squeezing and snaking her way though the tall and burley crowd she stopped just at the edge of the crowd. Her eyes went wide looking up at a bear like man that made her seem almost mouse like in comparison. Slowly looking back down her eyes caught the sight of three familiar faces, a small smile pulled at the corners of her mouth seeing her shipmates.

((Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay in rping. Rous has been very busy at work lately, but he says he'll post soon, so no worries. And to - this is pretty much all Blackie can do right now, so. Yeah.))
Blackfire didn't even flinch at nearly being hit. Thank god his instincts were on point, though. She didn't return to Nikki, instead flying her ass directly toward their destination. The sooner she got there the better; hopefully it would give her time to have her damn breakdown before the others showed up. Plus, hopefully, there would be less danger of being attacked by a wild animal.
((Still here. I guess I could post? I just don't have much to say right now.))

Although on the rp forums the people have the links in their signatures, I started this before I found it and figured it'd be a nice way to keep busy
OoC// Sorry everyone, I have been negligent in posting! With me about to be leaving where I currently reside, I have been busy at work, basically packing and making sure I am ready to leave here. That being said, when I get home, not gonna lie, we might have to take a two week break, because I'm going to be silly drunk for a solid couple weeks. Anyways!

"Sounds like he does indeed! We shall have fun!" The bear shouted, and his entourage shouted in agreement, then proceeded to file into the pub to sign up. Wyrn bounced between the bar and the table, in high spirits. Excited that he wss about to be reunited with a very, very old friend in adventure!
Back on the mountainside, it grew ever darker as the sun set. As night fell, Rous held a hand out in front as he walked. A fireball sprang to life, floating and humming in front of him. It sped a little faster than his walk, splitting off into another fireball. As he neared it, the first one would disappear, and the second would continue on ahead, keeping a continuous line of light.
All around he could hear the nocturnal life, just waking from their daylight slumber. Owls the size of medium sized dogs, rats, wolves and all sorts of other things went about their business. So far, nothing had more than a mild interest in him, simply watching from beyond the small circle of light around him constantly, curious, yet fearful of the aura of power he gave off. Here in a little while he would stop to eat again, to keep his energy up. But for now, he needed to clear this particular section of the great forest. The elves who lived there weren't particularly fond of visitors.

Nikki kept herself beyond the edge of the light cast by the captain's fire, her eyes well-suited to night vision. She could hear various creatures around, and occasionally caught a glimpse of one, but if nothing bothered her she just kept moving, not wanting to lose track of the man. She'd hunted a few small rodents while Rous had taken his time at the tree, and would do so again if he should stop once more.

Avery leaned back as the crowd swarmed the table, "No fighting." she called, raising her voice to volume loud enough to be heard. The sound in the bar lulled briefly afterwards. The crew looked good to her eyes as they pushed each other into a better line. "Two lines." she added in a similar voice, the lull was barely noticeable this time though. Not much startled these people more than once very sat decided to stay standing, she hand her hands on her hips and her feet planted for balance. The tall woman knew better than to look meek, even with her height she could get run over with this crowd. "Don't panic." she commented quietly to Tressa, giving her a friendly nudge.
Tressa gave her a small smile. Her ability not to falter was much improved with the reassuring presence of the doctor next to her. She watched as the crowd to sign on obeyed Avery's will, a tiny bit jealous. Her eyes brightened when she saw Jack. Waving, she called out the woman's name, although Tressa was certain Jack had already seen them.

As he progressed through the forest, he noticed the small snow flurries beginning to fall. He frowned, not even half way through the forest, and it was already starting to snow? The mountain was going to be absolutely dreadful to climb. He pressed on, calculating his trip in his head. By sun up, he'd be out of the forest and halfway up the mountain, and, according to his original plan, at the old castle by midday.
"Tell me more about Rous. How does he act nowadays? Is he still crazy? He still drink like the fish in the river?" the Bear asked Avery, sitting down with his own pint of ale "You know how the Eire are with alcohol!" He said, grinning.
As the rest of his gang filed in, the men who were there before had nervously gottenup to leave, their seats filled by the Üpryvaltan men

"I just joined his crew at our last stop in Fyreside. He seems like a smart captain. When we had our encounter with some drakes he did go a tad crazy, but we were all doing whatever we could to protect our crew, cargo, and ship." She told Bear. She took a sip of cider before continuing. Smiling she continued, "That first night he assembled some of us that he wanted to put in charge of various things. He really did drink like a fish in a river, as you put it. I haven't seen him go at it like that since that night though. I know how men and a few women are with alcohol. It doesn't matter if they can play with fire, water, or other people." She thought of all of the drunks she'd seen with yellowing skin, itching like crazy because their bodies couldn't handle anymore alcohol. "He might kill himself one way or another if that's how he always drinks." she added quietly, taking a slow drink.
"It'll be another way he dies, trust me." Wyrn said, a small smile playing on his lips, gulping down the ale. He set the empty mug down on the counter, wiping the foam from his mouth. " 'The weight of time will not be felt by our shoulders', that is what we were told in the beginning. No disease, no natural death could take us. Did he not tell you that?" He asked, eyebrow raised.

As Rous walked, he could catch sight of the same raven as before, huddled in a sapling tree. Stupid goddamn bird body, can't even stand the cold. How the hell could I have forgotten, Blackfire thought irritably. She didn't remember the mountain being so high or cold; last time she saw it, it only got snow on the peak, not this far down. Since her spell was supposed to last a full twenty-four hours, she could afford a little time to try and change into something a little better suited for the colder weather she'd experience.
"No he didn't, I don't know anything about pyromancers, other than what I've been told or heard through idle chatter. I'm the opposite of them, my skill is with water, although I am not nearly as powerful as the captain is. I'm learning slowly but it is difficult to find somebody who has my skills, much less one willing to take on a student my age." She told Bear, That might explain why he drinks that much she added as a mental note.
"It's not all pyromancers, just a few of us. Little enough to count on two hands. We shall bug him when he returns. I don't know why he hasn't told his story fully. I will tell one thing." He said, leaning in close, keeping his voice low.
"He is much older than he looks."

((OOC: Sorry I didn't post in a while, there hasn't been much to post on for Matthew, so I'll just post this part to show you I'm still here))
Matthew lazily watched as the men lined up to sign for the ship. His eyes tracked the giant of a man, Bear if he heard correctly, as he signed his name. He took a sip from his mug and scratched the back of his neck. He let out a long sigh as he waited.
