So what was the point in this if you can't turn in tickets anymore? How are people supposed to be able to sell them for profit, like you said on the first page? Can you just not do that anymore, the only thing you can do is buy the items and sell those I guess :/

Like I said, this should have been thought out before it was implemented. Like discussed with the whole staff so every aspect of the change could be addressed - if we change this, what happens to this part of it, and that part of it? Instead of just going CHANGE IT NOW LALA and trying to patch the problems afterwards, and leaving broken pieces behind. And now I'm afraid it's going to be one of those things that sits half-broken for who knows how long while staff moves on to other things.

This is what happens over and over, this is what frustrates us :P

I generally like this change, but it's unfortunate that an achievement was retired because of it. =/ I also can't figure out what to do with the two raffle tickets that have been sitting in my inventory since before the change...there seems to be no way to redeem them now?

I was thinking how nice and convenient this is (and I just got 2 forum points one right after the other) but I am now also baffled, after reading a few posts, about the apparent lack of ability to turn them in? I didn't look closely, but if that's what ppl are saying I certainly believe it. I hope they change that (fix it) because I've been saving up all my raffle tickets for a very good reason.

And that reason is that there are NO books in the forum shop. I was wondering where to ask or suggest that they put a book or two in there. None of the other items interest me. They have books in all the quest shops and some of us LOVE books, so why not put books in the forum shop? I figured I'd wait and if they never put any in there I might just sell my raffle tickets.

So I agree, we need to be able to turn them in (at any time in the future). It doesn't make sense that they would arbitrarily remove our ability to turn in the tickets. I can't be the only person who's been saving mine til I see something in that shop that I want.

I'm okay with the change but retiring the Achievement wasn't a good move in my opinion, totally sucks for collectors.

They pretty much have to fix it because as it is now, the tickets themselves have no use aside from TCs and wouldn't even resell for much, and i'm pretty sure that wasn't the intention. More books are always welcome but i do want to buy everything in there, and that's going to take a while even without new items added. :P

I agree, they have to fix it. I suppose I might want to buy some of the other stuff. I simply don't have that many raffle tickets, and since books are a priority I wanted to save the ones I have for now. I just started posting on forums a couple weeks ago when they came out with the forum shop. It's not something I ever did that often previously.

Same here, i rarely post and hardly ever got them in the past, but posting on the ToT board has been great for finding them! ;) I do hope they'll add books eventually.

I actually haven't been using the TOT boards, I don't have the patience to post every time, so I use a forum that has a TOT guide (number of pets and items they give away) so I'm not posting much at all at a time when I could be wracking up the posts. But this event keeps me (happily) busy. I hope this is not TOO off topic. I just sent you a comment that I almost posted here. I hope it wasn't too long to go through. Let me know if you don't get it, cause I saved it on a notepad.

Speaking of a LOT to do during this event, now we have 3 days to get a 25 percent buff in quests (another thing I rarely have energy for) and I want to do Saggi. I got 2.5 mil from him in one day over this past weekend. :)

Just in the time we've been talking on here, i've already gotten two forum points from the ToT thread (i have a fast pass). Thank you, it's good advice for getting more forum points. I just happen to be very obsessive about "chasing" certain TOT items since I have two different galleries that I need one of each for. I won't explain that here, lol.

I wish you would have posted this to the news - this is really irritating since I just bought two raffle tickets so I could get An item that I am a couple short for. But as it turns out I just literally threw away 600k because nobody told about this change.

Wait, are the raffle achievements gone now? I was confused. I changed my mind. I really am upset with this change. I was 2 raffles away from the next tier and I have just recently started trying to post more even though it makes me anxious. Now I have something else unfinished on my achievements page for this unnecessary and complicated change. I want to be able to get those achievements! I'm so upset right now. The raffle tickets were way more fun than "points" anyway. Bring them back! Ugh. I probably won't make an effort to post on the forums anymore. The only reason I ever did was to get the raffle tickets achievements. Very disappointing.

And you can't simply join the siteupdate ping group - which is essentially what you've just described - because why?

I just wish they would let people know before they do that (change the system drastically) - so I can get rid of my raffle tickets before they are literally useless and worthless. When they were phasing out the way raffle tickets used to work, originally, they gave everyone tons of advance notice and news updates - nobody had any reason to not know.

Go to the first post of this thread and see where Keith wrote # siteupdate , click on that and it will take you to the page of the group and you click on "Join group" or something.

Oh ok - lol - I still haven't figured out what the point of hashtags are. I'm so out of the technology loop. So a hashtag is the same as pinging someone?
