I just use my Blaziken right now. no one else is really trained well. I catch a lot of pokemon like that too but if I go out to catch them I always bring my zangoose now :)

I'll let you know if I ever work up to try chaining how it goes. nice on Hoopa! I got 3 of them :) I have X, Y, and OR so I could get 3. I haven't used him yet and probably won't, I'm always worried about messing them up somehow. I set up a guest network named McDonalds Free WiFi to get him because I didn't want to bring my 3ds to mcdonalds xD

haha honestly if i'm ever caught without my zangoose and there's a pokemon i wanna catch, i always just toss poke balls at it with full health because i'm too afraid i'll accidentally KO it, lol. i'd appreciate seeing how that goes for you, though!! whenever i get bored of breeding and working on my dex, i'm definitely gonna try chaining again, as well

but dang! i only have the one hoopa since omega ruby is my only 6th gen game. i remember when there was the shiny palkia event a couple years ago, i got 3 of them on my pearl, platinum, and i think black version, lmao. palkia was my fav. but tbh, i'm kind of the same way about fretting over my event pokemon. i tend to prefer to keep them in "mint condition," the same as they were when i got them. though with hoopa, i immediately leveled it and played with it a bit since it was a new pokemon, hah. i read about that wifi trick, though! i don't have wifi, but i tried doing it with my phone's hotspot and it wouldn't let me remove the password. :( so lame. so i had to go to an actual mcdonald's, and like the adult i am, i ordered a happy meal (hoping to get either the primal groudon or rayquaza toy,) and instead got wobbuffet much to my dismay. at least i had hoopa, some tasty mcnuggies, and a caramel frappe to drown my disappointment

I think I have a shiny palkia from gamestop a few years ago, it is on my Y if I do have it. Haven't checked on that yet. I get happy meals often when there are toys I like. I have rayquaza, mega latios, groudon, and kyogre. Still needing pikachu, wobuffet, hoopa, and lugia. Did you watch the movie? I recorded it on saturday and watched it last night with my gf :p

true! i think a lot of 'mons aren't too difficult to catch at full health, i'm actually always surprised whenever they do catch on the first throw. my signature thing is that i only use regular poke balls, so with their low capture rate, it's always a nice surprise when i get a successful full health capture, haha. but yeah, it was a gamestop event! they also offered shiny dialga and giratina, but i wasn't able to get the other two.

dude omg, i would totally trade you!! i'm considering going back and getting more just for the figures. i think that was actually the first happy meal i've had since i was maybe 10? lmao. but i did watch the movie!! hoopa's imprisoned forme was really adorable, and i thought the legendary battle was pretty cool, too! i'm hoping i'll get a chance to watch it with my bf since he didn't get to see it; he's fortunately as big of a pkmn nerd as i am, lmao.

My gf isn't really into pokemon but I make her watch it with me :p I think she's starting to like it but she was never into the games or anything. I have the arceus movie that was on before it recorded too to still watch.

I think I missed them too, I may have them though but I don't remember. I'm down to the last 15 or so I need for my hoenn dex. Gotta evolve 4 more and trade for others. Anyone who requires an item to evolve I'm just trading for. Dusknoir is proving to be a bit difficult atm.

wow ok so this was a later reply than i intended, i apologize!! the holidays were hella busy and so has the shift back to reality, but i did receive a new copy of pokemon x for christmas! it's been so much fun so far and i actually managed to catch my first ever wild shiny pokemon and i am still SO THRILLED. it was a male nidoran which is sweet since i prefer the males' design over the female's. so awesome.

how was your holiday, though? any closer to finishing the dex?

I haven't played in a bit, but I did finish the hoenn dex, so I am taking my well deserved break :p I've started to play pokemon shuffle on my phone though and I got super mystery dungeon for xmas I haven't played yet. I've had a busy holiday too and we just bought a house, which we closed on today, so I have to start the moving process. so things are still going to be busy for me xD

The shiny I got in Y was from a horde but I was trying to find one by usin sweet scent and getting hordes. Really lucky for you :)

Hey let's talk about pokemon over here :D I also do that. Lately I've been wanting to train all my pokemon equally but it always ends up that one (usually the starter) is 20+ levels ahead of everyone else.

Have you ever played a game where you didn't mainly use the starter but instead trained a caught pokemon in its place? I got an extra ruby years ago and put my torchic in the PC while I trained a ralts instead. Gardevoir is magnificent imo.

Nope I always play with my starter. Type matchups are so much easier with them. Finally got into the hall of fame on X and I'm continuing to work on my pokedex and complete my collection of every pokemon

I've never actually caught every single pokemon, nor done anything noteworthy in the games xD My biggest accomplishment was winning contests back in emerald all the time, until I finally beat the elite 4 on alpha sapphire, which I had never done before.

I always stop playing when I get to victory road for some reason. Probably because I tell myself "oh I'm just going to train a little bit more before heading in" but then I never train or do anything.... I'm still "training" my pokemon on leafgreen before going to the elite 4. Leafgreen!

I never had firered/leafgreen :( I should get it. I completed my dex in red, then again in Y. Attempting to in OR without help from Y. Going to toys r us soon to buy pokemon stuff.

You should get firered/leafgreen! I liked it pretty well, it was one of the first games I got when it came out.

I have both red and blue, got blue first and red a bit later.

Shuffle is frustrating. I am stuck on steelix so I'm working on the challenge levels and special ones

I was very little and didn't have a gameboy when the first 2 generations came out, but I did get blue first, when I got both the game and the system from a yard sale. :D

I don't remember which I'm stuck on, and I haven't played Rumble World in a while either. I downloaded Picross too but I haven't even tried it yet.

I need to work on my heartgold game again while I wait for Sun and Moon to come out; I had to restart my HG because I put my ho-oh in my pokewalker but then I ... lost the pokewalker... lol...

I haven't played rumble world but it's being released in cartridge form which I may buy. I have picross downloaded but not opened yet. I like those types of puzzles though. I like Hg. Don't know where my pokewalker is but I could probably find it if I looked. I've moved a couple times since then so it's just in a box somewhere.

Toys r us didn't have my plushie so I made them call the other toys r us and got one held for me. Ugh

the 20th anniversary Celebi plushie. after driving across town (well my mom did, I sat in the car with her!) we got there and I got the last plushie, if it hadn't been held for me I woulda been 10 minutes too late. he apparently got 15 calls that morning asking about the plushies. I also picked up the LE celebi figure + great ball too because might as well.

[edit] so I got the two diancies I wanted, did a Moltres -> Mew -> Diancie trade and also a straight Moltres -> Diancie trade but that diancie was a shiny one. so I am pretty happy there. Moltres seems to have a lot more value than it used to

I need to work on getting the other legendaries in alpha sapphire since a good amount seem pretty easy to get compared to old games, they're basically all just there waiting for you in mirage spots...
