Traded in PKMN X for PKMN White 2 a few weeks ago since I didn't purchase it at launch and enjoying it more than the former. I'm on route 7 scouring for PKMN whose type aren't commonly seen in the area to capture then train. I'm like the sequel story to PKMN B/W. Hugh annoyed me until I understood the reason for his behavior and fixation on attaining power. It is noble of an elder brother, but also sad for the possibly scarred younger sister. Team Plasma has become more sinister--I dare say more so than Team Rocket and on the level of Team Cipher.
i'm a super big fan of the pokemon franchise!! i don't watch the anime anymore, but i follow the games closely and i sort of passively collect the tcg cards. my fav version is a tie between emerald and firered, and ofc with the revision of r/b/e i was SUPER HYPED and i'm totally obsessed with omega ruby. i finally finished the delta episode and i'm currently working on completing both the hoenn and national dex, as well as capturing all the regional legendaries available in the game. i think once i'm done with that stuff i'll work on competitive breeding which will be hell but i'm excited abt it!

I just finished the delta episode of OR a few days ago and am working on my dex also. trading through GTS for the legendaries I need. my dex on Y is complete but I'm trying to complete it again without much help from my X&Y games.
I need to get back to playing Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon soon, uguhghhh.
I'm so happy it's more like the previous mystery dungeon games and not the last one.
What do you all think about the new mythical pokemon? I think it looks weird but I'm super excited that it is a new type!
Oh? What does it look like?
I haven't seen it...
But I suppose I could google it...
Volcanion - steam pokemon - uses fire and water to create steam
I don't have any exact date of release yet but they said 2016.
I'm working on a living dex right now, and I'm really REALLY close to finishing. The only Pokemon I still need that I can't get on my own is Genesect. If anyone has one to trade, hit me up! I have a bunch of different event Pokemon, including Mew, Jirachi, some shiny legendaries, Keldeo, Diancie, and of course Hoopa.
did anyone get to watch the premiere of hoopa & the clash of ages on cartoon network yesterday? i thought hoopa's imprisoned forme was adorable, and the battle between all of the legendaries was neat. lot of weird inconsistencies, but then again it's a pokemon movie and they never stay true to anything, especially since they're technically not even canon to the anime, pfftbt
if you want a legitimate genesect that hasn't been hacked or cloned, i recommend the r/pokemontrades subreddit on reddit.com! i can imagine a lot of people would be interested in your event pokemon. however, if you don't really care if the genesect would be illegitimate, r/casualpokemontrades is your place.
good luck on your living dex! i would never have the patience to attempt one, so kudos to you!!
good luck!! i don't have x or y so i've been like you, relying mostly on the gts, wonder trade, and trading forums. it's a pretty slow process, but surprisingly enough, i've actually gotten quite a few legendaries and some 'mons not available in omega ruby through wonder trade. 70% of it's usually crap, but on wonder trade wednesdays i usually end up with some pretty neat things - my fav so far being a pokerus-infected shiny mewtwo, hah!

I got a level 100 shiny xerneas from gts by trading a munchlax for any xerneas. I am pretty sure the shiny legendaries are all injected into the game haha. gts works wonders though. if you breed pokemon like munchlax, igglybuff, elekid... you know the pokemon that only come from eggs, then they have a pretty good trading value and you can get most of the non event legendaries with them. oh wednesdays are better to do wonder trades with? I should try that out sometime.
lmao yeah. most if not all of the time, any lv 100/shiny legendary you get via gts/wt is either hacked or cloned. some people don't like hacked pokemon, but tbh i think they're a nice novelty since i'd otherwise likely never have a perfect shiny legendary. that's a great idea, though; similar to breeding starters and version-exclusives. i'll have to try that with my wobbuffet and electivire!
but yes! a lot of players participate in wonder trade wednesdays by sending out breeding rejects, usually with high iv's & good natures for competitive play, hacked/cloned legendaries, starters, and sometimes pokemon holding rare items or infected with pokerus. i usually just send out a box or two of breeding rejects, and i get pretty decent results that way.

I don't mind fake pokemon, it's the only way I'll get a shiny legendary haha. I don't care about stats, I'm more of a collector than competetive battler in pokemon. Hm I'll need to breed more munchlax or some starters to wonder trade. Starters have less value now cuz oras gives you a bunch of different ones.
i can relate, though! i'm not very much into the competitive scene either, it's a lot of work just to get a decent pokemon and even then team-building is a huge chore. the past week i was breeding a charmander to get a competitive charizard, and that was such a pain in the ass i honestly wouldn't recommend it, lol. collecting is infinitely more fun. i agree with you on the starters, though; i was kind of surprised i didn't get to pick from 1st and 6th gen too, might as well let me get the rest, hah. fortunately, they still manage to retain some trade value, considering you're only able to pick one - especially when trading for other starters you're missing.

I got my starters right away and bred enough to get all the other starters, then traded for a snorlax which I use for munchlax which trade so much faster than the starters did. Still working on my hoenn dex but it is coming along. I think I have all non-event legendaries so a lot of it is a matter of me leveling different pokemon
oh, nice!! the starters do trade pretty slow, i offered a snivy once for a squirtle on the gts and it took a few days before it was accepted. i'll definitely have to try my electivire, then, especially if you got such good results with the munchlax. good luck on completing the rest of your hoenn dex, though! my progress's been sluggish, and i think i still have the regi's left to capture as far as legends go. but if you need an easier way to level, i highly recommend blissey bases if you weren't already aware of them. players will set up secret bases with lv 100 blisseys in them to battle, and each blissey can give between 9-50k exp depending on multipliers. all you do is scan the base's qr code, and they'll be made accessible in-game: you can find a big list of them here! they've been a huge help for me to quickly level 'mons en masse so i could get their evolutions' dex entries.

I know of that way to level, but the battles take so long to click through all of the leveling text that I just get bored. I much prefer to go around with my Blaziken and kill trainers that are challenging again xD if you could evolve two times from one battle I'd do the blissy thing more often. idk, if I really feel like it I'll do them. have you tried to find any shinies yet? I haven't, and haven't even encountered one. I did on Y when I played that, I forget who it was but I could go on and check.
lmao they're super boring, for sure. i usually end up multitasking, and i'll absently tap the lower screen while i watch tv or whatever. prior to that, i'd do the same thing and re-challenge the elite 4 or the trainers outside of fortree city on route 120. but if pokemon evolved twice from a battle or just skipped to the most recent eligible evolution, i'd be entirely down for that. at least from all the wonder trading i do, i've got a lot of pokemiles to spend on rare candies so it doesn't bother me entirely too much
i actually did try shiny hunting, yeah! i tried the dexnav chaining method for zangoose (my absolute all-time fav,) but after attempting it a few times with chains usually up to 100 and getting nothing, i gave up. i also tried the masuda method but that was fruitless, as well. pffbt. i've never actually encountered a wild, legit shiny before, so props to you for managing to find one. it'd be cool to see what shiny you got!

I have a zangoose I use to catch stuff with because it has false swipe :) not shiny though. I think it goes up .5% each chain above 40 so you have a 50% chance at 130 or something? I don't know the exact numbers, I looked into it though. I'll have to check out what I have some time :)
did you happen to get your Hoopa yet?
same!! i use my zangoose all the time; not only is it killer with a toxic orb + facade, but i keep false swipe on it just for that purpose. it's so useful that i can't really believe there was a point where i'd just sort of wing it with a weak move, praying that i don't get a critical, lmfaoo. absolutely necessary when catching legends.
but i've read something similar to that, re. dexnav shiny chances. some have said that after a chain of 100, your odds are 1/200, while others believe it doesn't affect chances in any way. not really sure why the data is so varied between different people, and i'm not really sure what the odds are myself since i've yet to get a shiny from it. in spite of it, i do know a looot of people have gotten shinies anywhere from chains of 40 to 130. regardless, i did get my hoopa!! actually got it earlier this week. the arms really freak me out, how they dock into its body. so weird. hyperspace fury is probably my favorite move.
