I was considering a mass user shop selling thread for only members of The Round Up. The first post would be links to each of our posts and what each of us our selling. We each manage our main shop post. I think doing something like this would keep the shop thread near the top of the page for other users to continuously notice. How do you guys feel about this? I don't think I've ever seen a cult do such a thing. Even if a user leaves the group you can simply just not link their shop post in the first post.
Yaaay!! I love the giraffe braids, I'm dying for the roseate but I have a serious CW problem.. I had to make a deal with myself, I can buy more if I sell a couple I already have/if I raise the sP. Til then.. no new ones.
I'm not 100% yet either, but I just got another one! I'll open it and report back.

omg I knowwwwww :( I think a dedicated thread is a great idea! Especially since we are multicult, and not everyone will be able to see a specific cult page.. is that even a thing? Cults are so broken, I've never tried to join one .. I don't know if you can even join one "officially"
I'll see what and think. I noticed that about the cults page the other night. I hope they fix that soon. Bow that I finally love being in a cult it sucks that the cult page is broken and that The Round Up isn't official. I wonder if we should submit a ticket to stake claim to the name now before someone else steals it when cults are fixed.

I submitted a ticket asking staff if we can claim the name before someone else might have the chance to take it. I'll let you know what staff says. I doubt they will let us have dibs on it but it doesn't hurt to ask.
hmm. well, since they are trying to make forum groups = cults in some weird way, since raw and illusion already own the forum group we should be good! You never know around here though :( best to be sure

@ illusion and I actually discussed this, so I'm all for it. My suggestion was a little different than yours, though. The gist was this: We have one cult trading/selling thread. On the first post, we list links to the SHOPS of each user who has things in their shops that they're willing to sell/trade to other TRU members. That way, we won't need a bunch of different threads open for different TRU members. And then people can just browse each other's shops and we could also link to the WL of the person who owns the respective shop so that interested parties can see if they have anything to trade. Item trades could have a specific format, the code of which could be embedded in the first post (something like this):
@(user who owns shop)'s for my [item=item I'm offering]
or something of that nature. And, of course, the items would have to be of similar value. We could also have a set discount price for people who are interested in buying, not trading, for all TRU members.
If any other members see this, feel free to ask for any clarification/suggest tweaks, etc etc!
I think I'm understanding the concept but for my might not work well if we all have about 10+ items we are trading. I would hate for whoever is in charge of the first post to constantly be editing for everyone else. If i'm completely misunderstanding just let me know.
I got a response for my ticket regarding holding the cult name once cults are allowed to be created.
"Hello there. I am sorry to hear about this, but no new Cults are allowed to be created at the moment, so no one could make new Cults. There is not a way to hold the name. I am sorry about that. "
Oh no, we wouldn't have to put the item trades in the first post, only the code that people use for item trades. Does that make sense? (Sorry if I'm wording this in an odd way.)
