Your choice, of course, whether or not to try again, but as horrible as the whole process is, I would do it. I've already endured four of the procedures, and since the last one was clear, I don't have to get another for four more years.

There are several different things they can give you. Not all are as bad as this one. You might want to consider trying one that is slower acting, it might not make you as sick, though you'll have to fast for longer.

You might want to have a frank discussion with your doctor about why you are having this test done and if there are other options to detect the same thing with a different test.

I've gone through many, many diagnostic procedures. I have several chronic conditions, and been through the mystery diagnosis, taking a couple years to get something diagnosed and lots of test to figure out what was going on.

Even the simplest, like blood tests are a hassle for me because my veins have never been cooperative. Since my twenties, I don't think I've gone more than six months without a blood test, and often more frequently than that, there is now scar tissue to deal with, in addition to my bad veins.

Its quite amazing the amount of tortuous tests they can come up with! And they all have their rules - take this med, don't take that med, eat, don't eat, drink clear fluids only, or don't drink anything (which is way, way worse than not eating!).

I haven't done the mammogram yet either. Since I turned 50 this year my doc has been bugging me about it, but so far I've resisted.

Most testing I agree with, but I always ask why they are testing, what information they might get out of it and the consequences of not testing. I also, sometimes, ask about the sensitivity of the test and how frequently there are false positives and false negatives.

that is all really good advice and I am really going to think about it. Most of all I am really sorry you had, and still have, to go through all that! What a pain.

I get that. LOL of the 16K+ items in my wardrobe, there's probably about 11K that I'll never use! Even pretty items often don't get used because I can't make them work with anything else.

Some of the older things I love but they need revamped so badly. was always one of my favorite items and I saved for what felt like forever for it! It was about 35 million when I bought it. I really wish they would revamp it but since it is a one off, I doubt they ever will. :(
